Quick question about the Knight, what's that?

I haven't played the knight yet but a quick question about the Knight, what's that, what does it do, and what am I supposed to do with it? It was on the map until the game ended.

    I’ll preface this by saying this specific thing is bugged, and shouldn’t be there anymore.


    What it’s supposed to do is grant the survivor that is chased by one of Knight’s guards a manner of disabling the guard. You run into it, and the guard despawns.

    The horn you hear indicates it can be “picked up.”

    That is definitely a bug.

    It's the standard. When a hunt starts, the guard places it at the location it saw the survivor. After 5 (Assassin and Jailer)/10 (Carnifex) seconds, the horn blasts and the person who is being hunted (and only them) can pick up the standard to end the hunt and get endurance/haste for a brief period of time.

    In your picture, there is no hunt going on. That flag shouldn't exist.

    It's the Banner.

    When a Guard starts Hunting you, the Banner will slowly materialize. If you can manage to grab it, you get a Sprint Burst, Endurance and the Hunt instantly ends.
