The killer doesn't let you get your challenge?

I was collecting Green Glyph and I was the only one left alive, knowing this the killer still downed me and didn't wait for the challenge.

    no

Also, don't do them mid-game and expect courtesy.

Should have done it earlier then 🤷🏼‍♂️

Why should the killer get out of his way for you so you can do a challenge?

Stop crying about it and do it in the next match, the world isn't ending after that match 🤦🏻‍♂️

If you're the killer, why not? Just wait! The survivor is saying "I am giving up to get this glyph," so why not let them? You aren't actually a killer in real life, just have a little bit of courtesy to the player who is handing you a free down, this is obviously important enough to them that they would do so. The game should just make you invulnerable when doing glyphs.

(I 100% do this every time, and I will always hold everyone to my standard on this sort of thing.)

How is it a free down when the killer waits with any hits until the survivor is done?

A healthy survivor would get hit once, use the speed boost to the next tile and loop the friendly killer to hell and back like usual?

And please don't come with specifics like X killer has an instant down, that's not a general applicable answer.

Even I respect the glyph and I'm a cold bastard of a Killer.

Unless I think I will lose the game because of a Glyph (unlikely and if I'm in that position I've already played poorly), I'll respect it.

It's a guaranteed free down if the surv is already injured and wants to pick up their glyph with the killer being near. In this scenario, don't be a d*ck and wait that seconds out, before downing. You prob still get the down faster compared to when the surv would have continued with the chase.

"A healthy survivor would get hit once, use the speed boost to the next tile and loop the friendly killer to hell and back like usual?"

Even when you are a gentleman and hit a healthy one only after the glyph is finished, and they run away afterwards, you might STILL better off than without the glyph interactions, since you already scored a hit and don't have to chase a healthy one around loops! Or leave them so they have to waste time healing. You can also hit them once during interaction, and if they stay to do the glyph again, you can still wait for them to finish to get the free down afterwards. No one should complain about this.

So again, don't be a d*ck and let them finish the glyph interaction. You already get free hits / downs by this. Look at it as a trade: the surv sacrifices a health state or hook state in order to finish that glyph. You really don't lose anything by waiting in this situation. Taking the free hit and still denying the glyph is just scummy, imo.

I usually try to let survivors finish their glyph before I down and hook them as easy targets, but sometimes I don't notice until it's too late.

But it goes both ways, I've had killer challenges scuppered by survivors doing things like DCing to deny me my hook, and likewise other survivors screwing me out of my survivor challenges.

I always let people get their glyphes if i spot it but i wouldn't hold it against someone who doesn't

It is a courtesy and what i know of humans it's better to be happilly surprised of courtesies rather then to expect them

Because archives are winning games, why would he let you do that when he can deny it and maybe get you next time doing challenge instead of gens and win again

you are 1 out of 100

And we are going that road again with the penaltys so it seems. People dc left and right. I need a new game i think.

Well I had giving Survivors their challenge glyph backfired.

There would be downed but I let them collect their glyph. Then instead I was expecting them to just give me the down as a trade off but nope, they finish the glyph and I don't rememeber now how since it was some time ago but I know I got punished for that so they probably run away or something. So I don't do this much anymore.

Then you aren’t as cold as I. I will smack you off that glyph so fast and throw you on a hook.

I've had more killers drop me than let me finish them. As killler I've let survivors do them then run, surprisingly, not bumped into it often. Nothing worse than teammates stealing your green ones though 😡

Punishing people for the actions of others isn't going to solve the issues both sides have with each other. I always let people get challenges, and as many have said they'll die right after. You're not killers and survivors in a sick experiment, you're human beings playing with other people who enjoy earning goodies through gameplay. Besides, there are plenty of challenges to complete the Rifts, if that's what you wanted.

As a killer i let survivors get their glyph. I hit them right after and chase as normal.

As a survivor if a killer lets me get mine, i make sure to let them get a hit on me, then continue chase as normal. If im injured then they get a free hook.

Because it isnt the Job of the Killer ? The Killer is ur Evil Guy his job isnt to help survivors if he want to kill some1 he is doing it so Survivor help the Killer for his Hook Challenge? No

I mean when i See a Survivor doing his glyphe i just wait but it isnt my Job

Survivors should finally Stop to tell Killer Players how they should play

    Note: "CHALLENGE" not "COLLECTABLE"

All I'll say on the matter.

I think that's kinda messed up, but it's not the killer's responsibility to let you finish archive challenges. Killers have to focus on a lot of different things and not waste a single second of the match while survivors can have a little wiggle room since other survivors are doing the work as well.

It's a free [whatever it was going to be before the survivor stopped dead in their tracks], i.e., a hit or a down.

Then you're just cruel. Unless you think the game is going to be lost, there's really no point in being a dick about it.

If I see a survivor latch onto a glyph and it only cost me a few seconds to let them get it, I let them have it. If I can figure out what a survivor's challenge is and help them get it, usually I will unless I am blinded by my own cruel challenge.
