Translating the Kanji on Sadako's weapon

Sadako's normal M1 attack shoots out a ring that translates to "curse" in Kanji. Her "Rotten Remains" outfit has a different weapon, though. In Hanja, it translates to "hatred," but I have no clue if it's the same in Kanji. Can anybody confirm what it says?

For some reason the wiki just says "changes the shape of the kanji" in the trivia section? Like what it to change 2.
I stopped at learning hiragana and katakana so I can't actually help

I was told the first or base kanji mean't cursed?

Probably for the reason that the wiki admins don't speak Japanese. From what I remember, the meaning of her default attack's kanji was quickly deciphered on reddit threads.
