When it came to nurse I needed to play nothing but her for a month. I have no idea on how anyone on console could play Trickster.

I don't find Huntress at all difficult on console. It's all about pratice with her and learning where her hatchets will land depending on how high or low you aim and knowing her hit box. She's also very perk reliant because of her lack of speed so her build can make or break a match if you're new with her. Blight and Nurse are a little bit more tricky as they definitely have a learning curve but once you form a muscle memory of their power, they're completely fine to play on console. I'm sure they're better on PC but they're not terrible on console. At least with The Blight because he doesn't suffer from slower movement speed, you don't really have to use his power besides traversing the map quicker if you don't want to. The only killer that's really a pain on console imo is The Trickster. To properly center is flailing blades at a survivor's back is rather frustrating. He's so hit and miss on console that he's legit the only killer I don't play in the game because of that reason. He's just way too wonky for console and his addons don't help him counter the way you have to play him with a controller.

The only ones I have a hard time with are Blight (super hard to do flicks) Billy (the camera just won’t move fast enough regardless of sensitivity) and Oni (same as Billy) the rest are complicated by not nearly as hard. Also with the aim adjust, auto aim, whatever is is with these killers I usually end up hitting a tree or a bush

I use a controller on PC due to IRL wrist issues that make KB&M extremely painful, the biggest thing that's helped me for playing killers like Trickster and Huntress is to have the sensitivity turned all the way up to 85-90%. But with that said and as much as I love playing Trickster, the artificial difficulty with him is a real pain in the ass. Not only do you have to contend with aiming, but there's also this really annoying recoil mechanic that forces the camera to move upwards. So not only are you trying to aim, but your also fighting with this constant pull upwards that just doesn't exist with KB&M and the real kicker is there's no real way to counter it. Like you can compensate for the recoil by using the add-on that causes blades to shatter and deal laceration damage, but it's not enough to compensate for the number of knives that miss because your constantly fighting with the camera.

If anything, it kind of shows that there is a huge lack of balancing when it comes to controller support for the console or even on PC. I also think that the recoil mechanic should just be gone, it's really punishing for no reason other than because "eff u, artificial difficulty go burrrr!"

  • The same way people on PC play those killers—by clicking on them in the killer select screen and then hitting “Ready”.

Huntress and Nurse truthfully aren't any harder on controller.

Nurse is fine the only really difference is that it's much easier to track players during the fatigue on PC. Blight takes much more practice, but it's doable.

Any killer that you aim with Deathslinger, Trickster, Pinhead, Huntress is really just a pain. I mean you can get pretty decent but you basically have to spend a lot of time practicing and really have to keep playing them to keep that muscle memory up. It's really easy to lose any kind of gains you've made on ranged killers if you take extended breaks I find.

I just wish that would add keyboard and mouse support. I really feel like I'm missing out on killers that I would actually enjoy playing, but can't because it's so gimped on console. Like I have DBD on my laptop and I actually really enjoyed playing Trickster, Deathslinger and huntress, which is something I really can't say about console. It's just frustrating even when you do get semi decent at it.

Console also had some weird sync s**t going on when playing cross platform. On PC the hit registration feels so much better.

That's wrong. Any aim killer is way harder on console. It's not only about the controller, it's also about the console optimization.

The game needs better support for KB&M and Controller, or at least better FPS optimisation for the console, as I find that's just as much of a killer (pun not intended) for the controller as the wonky aim mechanics of the controller.

Nurse isn't an issue for me at all on my Xbox, although I'm obviously better when I play on my PC because mouse is literally just superior. Blight is clunkier but still passable, Trickster and Huntress aren't enjoyable for me though

Those 2 are way harder to play on console, specifically the Trickster because it makes his already-ridiculous recoil even worse. I mained him for a while after he released but I've dropped him for the most part. For the level of efficiency and muscle memory required to play Trickster/Huntress on console at a level comparable to PC you're better off just investing into Nurse or Blight since it'll actually reward you consistently. Console Huntress/Trickster allows you to express skill but you'll still feel the pain, at least Nurse/Blight can compensate

If you play on next gen console it’s much more enjoyable because the game is optimized far better.

Nurse and Blight are really not much more difficult. I can’t play them well because I haven’t invested much time into learning them but they’re not killers that suffer on controller. Huntress is a bit harder but people overstate how hard she is on a controller.

Trickster is truly the only hard one. The rapid fire throwing of knives and constantly having to adjust to the center of your screen (as best you can because the knives do not throw directly in the center, they are random) is a pain with joysticks. The recoil is what kills any enjoyment of him on a controller. I’ve tried and tried and tried but it’s not worth the effort :/

I haven't invested much time into learning them

But they're not killers that suffer on controller.

If you haven't invested much time into them, then how did you come to the conclusion that they're not harder on controller?

I can’t play them well but I’ve still played both Nurse and Blight enough to do decent in a match with them. I have still played both of them but not enough time invested to call myself a pro or a master at either one of them because I’m not a fan of either one of their playstyles.

Nurse requires muscle memory to be really good with her. You have to be good with blinks. There no rapid or rigorous movements of joysticks that would make her any harder to learn on a controller vs a K&M.

Blight is a little different and might be a bit tricker because of the turning but the turning is at a set rate, you won’t be able to turn any faster or any better on a K&M vs a controller. There is really no “techs” with him that you can’t do on a controller.

Both are arguably probably better and a bit easier to learn on a K&M but with practice, they’re just as good and don’t suffer to the extent that an aiming or range killer would. Both do just fine on a controller.

Between console and pc nurse biggest difference is the swing. Survivors can easily spin console nurse and autoaim makes you hit bushes or something else too. Pc nurses also get lot more bs hits too.

Trickster in particular is difficult to git gud with due to his erratic and unpredictable recoil on console. Feels awful and staying on target is a nightmare.

I am playing on PC because most of the killer roster is unplayable on console, and the lag makes it worse.
