Project W was probably the most exciting chapter in DBD.

So first we got another RE chapter after the sucess of the previous chapter with Nemesis, Leon and Jill. This time we got Rebbeca and Ada,and ofc the most exciting part, Wesker, when the PTB released i couldn't wait for the full release of it. Despite it's buggy release, his power is very fun and he is a well designed killer. About the survivors i don't got much to say, only that some perks are good while the others are meh. But i'm glad we got Ada from RE2R. I can't really remember a chapter that hit as hard as this one. Thank you for reading.
Your Wesker Main.

Now I believe that everyone who has read this is very happy that you're really enjoying Wesker and the things his chapter has brought with it. Looking at it from a different perspective, I see Project W as underwhelming character wise and as you said, very buggy; not really "haha funny bugs", but rather game-deciding bugs. We all know how survivors can get slammed and thrown against non-existant objects that results in a down; I've noticed this a bunch on the Artist's map. Another thing is that he didn't come with a map like Nemisis or other licensed Killers; and I feel like that also sets Wesker's release lower on the list.
As I said, everyone should be happy that you're enjoying a new addition to the game, but don't think a majority of people would agree that Weskers is "the most exciting". I believe that spot belongs to Stranger Things, Silent Hill, Roots or Dread, or Forged in Fog as these dlc's came with what a dlc should- a map, a Killer, and a Survivor or two. Not trying to say you have bad taste; just felt like pointing out some things you probably didn't see :D

I have been playing Wesker since release and i can confirm that right now that he is pretty much fixed. Sure some collisions in the maps aren't great, but that's just the map optimization for Wesker that isn't great. But imo he is in a good state and he doesn't need any kind of change. As for the most exciting chapters, while i do agree that Stranger Things and Silent Hill most likely deserve those spots, i just don't personally enjoy Roots Of Dread, and even less Forged In Fog. Roots Of Dread, they released an mediocre killer that is pretty boring to play imo with a survivor that just doesn't have good perks. Forged In Fog came really really buggy, more even then Project W at a point that Knight can grab people or do certain actions himself from a distance. Thanks for your reply, and enjoy the game.

I enjoy Wesker a hell of a lot. The rest...a bit of a damp squib, all told.
Most exciting patches to me were the meta shakeup and MMR.

Wesker was the best chapter of 2022, sure. But I don't think I'd place it in my top 3 most hyped releases. Maybe top 5 if I went back and re-evaluated them all.
As disasterous as the Resident Evil chapter was for console players, imo I think it carried most of the weight since it was the first Resident Evil content introduced to DBD.

The Nemesis chapter was by far the largest boost in player count, at least according to steam charts. Wesker DLC barely brought in any players in comparison.

Slightly off-topic, but sorta not.....
I would be far more excited for chapters if they didn't get leaked weeks in advance. Just kinda sucks out all the fun and I definitely felt it with Project W.

this, it killed my hype so bad too. im such a diehard rebecca fan and i was barely excited once the chapter actually released.
leaks just destroy any and all hype since the leakers always do it so far in advance (like, didnt we know about knight for over half a year?) its just so sucky.

He still is very buggy. The interaction between Dead Hard and his M2 results in a glitchy mess half the time.

People being slammed into objects that don't seem to be there is the inverse of Killer powers colliding with objects that aren't there. And playing twenty questions with what plant can be moved through and what's a solid obstacle.

it has come to a point where i am thankful for chapters that don't have a map. bhvr's map design team are clueless individuals when it comes to balancing. i might even think that they do this on purpose since everyone complains about the state of soloq so they probably don't want to balance maps rn (or perhaps ever).
also getting another re chapter also brought us changes to the awful rpd map that's better than having a new busted map.

Correct me if I'm wrong but weren't there very few changes done with the introduction of Wesker? It had been so long since I'd played on RPD that the only differences I felt was an alley way outside of the main room and the helicopter roof being blocked. Let's not forget that they also could've used the files for Hawkins Lab, re-textures, and given us something adjacent to this-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEVTWcQh1f0; would've been very fitting.

I feel like the hype for the first RE chapter was way higher.

Wesker is finally another killer that can some what counter W and doesn't force it. So success for me.

Tfw new RPD is just as bad if not arguably worse than old RPD 🕳️👩🏻🦯

I would say the Halloween Chapter was probably more hype.
But both RE chapters were pretty hype.
(Except for when they broke console )

A Binding of Kin chapter was the most hyped release for bugs.

Nah I could play the game.
Couldn't play the game when RE was released in June of 2021
