Killer Appreciation Post

A lot of posts lately have been very accusatory and belligerent towards both roles.

Killers particularly get a lot of bad rap at the moment. They're all tunneling, unfun boosted players who don't have a respectful bone in them...

Yet I consistently run into really chill, really fun killers who don't deserve half the mean things said to or about them. Especially since the event.

Whatever is said about this community being full of toxic, irredeemable players, most people in here and in the fog are just enjoying the game. There are so many good elements in this community. Let's celebrate them for once.

Mad respect for killers who play around in snowmen, and for the killers who just want a normal game.

Killers who did the smart play and got flamed for it.

Killers who give hatch, and those who don't.

Killers who stay in postgame to chat amicably, and the killers who don't bother to anymore.

Killers who mess around with fun builds, and killers who feel cornered into meta.

We all don't always see eye to eye, but the game is so much more pleasant when it's played without animosity.

I'll see y'all in the fog. <3

I'm sorry to hear that !

I've met a few this past weekend, from a Pinhead desperately trying to come into my snowman (and promptly finding his own when realizing it was occupied) to a Wesker using snowmen to hide his terror radius and sneak up on us. =D

Admitted it was much better the first few days.

One of the earlier games We had three snowmen dancing around Feng who was doing a gen. Then a fourth snowman turned up... no one knew who was the killer, or even who the killer was. Feng got in a snowman herself, and after a minute or two of high fiving, Bubba burst out in the middle of all of us and downed three at once. After a few hooks he let us all go.

But now, I think everyone's getting a bit fed up of it, particularly fed up of trying to play around and the opponents not respecting it and still sweating anyway. I can't count the number of games the last few days where the other sided have sweated unnecessarily. Games where one survivor DCs, so I intentionally go easy on the remaining 3 and mess around in snowmen, but they don't join in, and still try hard to deny me any hooks, even when I've intentionally left them alive on death hook when I could have easily killed them, and I've allowed them to power the gates, quite obviously, but they're still trying their hardest to deny me the last non-lethal hook.

Yes I agree but meeting this mad respect killer is pretty rare.

This is a lovely post, nice to see some positivity <3

I'd also like to thank all the killers who have messed around in the snowmen with me, I'll always leave a gift for you.

Well I'll give them my appreciation when I see them. But my schedule seems pretty full of 4 slowdown tunneling blights nurses knights and pinheads so far.

I can't speak to every killer obviously but I find I play way more "fair" killers than I do camping/tunneling/whatever you hate killers

Give me your games, lol. Almost every game I'm facing killers that will camp and tunnel at 5 gens (they want the game to turn into a 3v1 as soon as possible). A lot of them are strong killers like Blight and Nurse using full meta perks as well. It's been a very unenjoyable experience for me when playing survivor.

With that out of the way I have gone against a few nice killers that just want to have a fun and chill game. Thank you to those killers!

Been playing this game a few years now and see a nice/fun killer maybe 1% of the time...99% of the time is just trash facecampers and tunnelers off hook. Everyone says it's strategic play, but I also main killer and never have to tunnel or camp to get max points, hell don't even need a sacrifice. Players just like to make up their own rules to the game. I enjoy the fun killers but getting tired of literally all campers and tunnellers every day. Makes the game boring and with the DC penalties you have to ######### on first hook to get a new game with the 1% chance of a killer there to actually play the game the way it is meant to be played.

I used to main Survivor but I've mained Trickster for several months now - I just made it to Prestige 25 today. I honestly don't care about killing/winning - I like chasing Survivors, stabbing them a lot, hooking them twice, then letting them escape. I'm capable of playing seriously, but I don't have fun doing that. I've been ridiculed and called bad at playing Killer because I choose to have fun instead of winning. I still get BM'd by Survivors despite trying to play nice and fair. Some people never change and it's not a surprise to get people like this. There are many nice people who play this game, though. That's what keeps me playing :3

My respect goes out to people who just play killer, maybe it's their main role most of the time but they do it without a chip on their shoulder.

There's annoying aspects of the game; perks, offerings, items, maps and so on but these players understand that it's not the whole "survivor role" that's the problem. It's certain types of survivor players who are the ones abusing that stuff.

Every so often u run into a killer who will give u hatch but also i run into the ones who will leave u slug as u crawl to the hatch than bam.....close it. I rarely get camp or tunnel ( not including end game camping) maybe once every 20 matches at most so i can't really relate with most survivors on that issue. in fact I'll say most killer dont show any emotions at all. Rarely meet s nice killer or mean one....unless u running them for a few gens.

I have nothing but respect for killers who play fair in the current meta and do not camp or tunnel off hook, particularly when the map is really rough for them and/or they are struggling a bit.

Shows a lot of character to still not resort to playing in a scummy way when you are on the back foot and I always try to remember to give them props post match

I just want to take this moment to reach out to all those lovely random soloQ teammates that I get besides the onslaught of locker hiding and urban evading Claudettes. Thank you. Even if you are only doing it for a tome challenge, I appreciate you running back on death hook to try and get me out of the basement. You folks rock.

Thanks. I will make sure you die last on basement hook with bubba breathing down your neck and nodding into your cam as you're taken by the entity.

You know, you cannot please everyody.

I get games where I get praises.

I get games where I get thoroughly insulted. (And I absolutely don't care)

Sometimes, it's for the exact same plays.

One of my best moments though, was as Blight (I was very bad at the time, now I'm just bad). I went into a match, tested the survivors and found a good one, then I proceeded to chase and ultimately kill him (and then it was game over, the others left or I killed another I don't quite recall).

In the chat, the guy I chased was a bit annoyed (but not rude). Then I've pointed out how doing gens was boring and easy enough for a child. How chases were the only thing fun in the game and how I couldn't possibly go against his friends because they were obviously no match for me. (Which was sincere : the 3 were beginners and I had 2.5k hours.)

After that he agreed and appeared to be quite happy with himself.
