Disconnection penaltys.
Yes I get it. When a killer leaves a game at the beginning of in the middle of the game it's annoying. However there are certain times where their internet causes the disconnecting. I myself live up on a hill and internets bad for me up here. I recently got the 24 hour penalty, but I now discovered it can go to 48 hours, a week, a month, then permanently. And I spent 50 bucks on this game so I'm not gonna let it go to waste. What do y'all think about this?

The consensus seems to be that if you don't have a good enough internet connection to play online pvp games without impacting negatively on other players' experience, then you shouldn't be playing online pvp games.
Maybe you'll have a more stable connection in the future, but until then I'd advise against playing DbD, lest your penalty edcalates to "permanently" and makes you waste your money.

I think you need better internet connection if you want to play online games.

If your internet is that bad you should definitely take breaks after you get 1 or 2 DC penalties. The penalty timers will reset if you wait long enough. The higher the penalty, the longer the cooldown. If you're currently at a 24hr, don't play again for a week (i think). You will absolutely get permabanned if you keep stacking them up.
If possible, play on a wired connection or get better internet service. That's really all you can do.

Fix your internet then

It sucks but you either need to secure a better connection. Or play a game where disconnecting doesn't tank the game for everybody else in it.
I do feel for you because I wouldn't want to stop playing the game. But DC penalties are stopping the rage quitters from ruining the game in general. And since there is no way to tell the difference between genuine and deliberate disconnects.
I still have a lot of games ruined by killer or a surv rage quitting. One literally ends the game, the other basically gives killer an auto win.
Just play the game in phases, take breaks when you DC penalty is high until it resets.
