Disconnects making killers depip
I'm trying to get to rank 1 tonight and over the weekend as it'll be my only time off work until the reset, and every single match ive played tonight has had at least 2 dc's at the very start if i get a too quick of down for the survivors liking. l
Now tell me bhvr, why in the hell did you design grades to be affected by dc's? if a survivor dc's , just give us brutal so we dont waste a pip, its ridiculous!

Idk probably some problem they can't kill switch that affects someone's game horribly, so the penalties are turned off. My only guess is the situation over in Europe where the servers are very shotty but makes me question... why not just disable the DC penalties over there, or did they not think that far to have a system to disable penalties in a specific region.

Depipping needs to go. I've been stuck at iri 4 since i keep depipping everytime i get few.
Dcs are out of control so is tunneling its ridiculous. Toxicity is worse i feel lately. People are just so angry on both sides.

DCs are often a depip for survivors as well, since the game is pretty much lost once a couple people leave, and killers will usually try not to depip and kill the remaining survs.

Because EU servers, especially UK, have been utter doodoo for a week and BHVR is closed for holiday break.
As for depips, I'll state what I've always stated. If grades are meant to be a mere reflection of time recently played, then safety pips should be the minimum guaranteed, with depips left as an additional punishment for people who DC (to disable when timeouts are disabled as well).
There's no reason to have depips when so much of it is dependent on what your opponent does to give you a chance at a pip.

People DC just because they are found first or they see a killer they dont like. Or the sun was in their eyes or grass was wrong color. let's be honest here.

De-pipping is the single most unfun mechanic in the game. It serves no purpose since they decoupled ranks from matchmaking and indeed, the tagline "its no expression of skill, but just a measurement of how much you played since the last grade reset" is not even accurate, as you can get stuck in the iri ranks for the rest of the month, if you are unlucky with your games.
Here is my solution: right now we need about 90 pips to get from Ash4 to Iri1. Add about 30pips, but remove de-pipping from anything besides DCing. Boom. You can play anyway you want from day one, give cute survivors the hatch without fear of losing your 4 pips in a series of unlucky games because of that single act of mercy. All you would need were 120 or a bit less good games per month. Quite something, but manageble and way less frustrating then the hot mess we have right now.

It's not about me bro I quit games if anyone of my teammates gets tunneled cuz the killer is just gonna tunnel each survivor until he kills all of them, again if you resort to tunneling as a killer it means you are bad at the game and have 0 map pressure.

I'd like to add a few more examples to this since I solo quite a lot.
1. Trying so hard to bully the killer and getting downed easily.
2. A killer running Lightborn.
3. Being on hook longer than 5 seconds.
4. Sandbagging people and the killer decides to focus in on them

You are making a whole lot of assumptions. Whiny survivors will dc for anything. Last night I had way too many DC’s from the first down being fast. Game after game. I do not tunnel, I do not camp, and it doesn’t change anything. Survivors will still DC.
