Help, gens keeps exploding
Hey guys, i didnt play in a few weeks, and now everytime i try to work on gens, they keep exploding.
What am i missing ??
Do we have to always precisely hit the little bar now??
Im alright with the checks, but not that great with hitting the little bar where we have to be sooo precise.
Help. Is this a Killer perk ?????
Note: im not new at DBD, i just cant play all the time so if things were added like perks i cant know... lol please help so i can normally play/repair gens again thank you :)

What version of DBD are you playing on?
Do you hear the skill check notifications before the generator explodes?
And what perks are the Killers bringing?
I ask this because the Killer meta revolves around Eruption, Overcharge, and Call of Brine, but sometimes Killers run perks like Jolt or SH: Pain Res to pair with it for extra regression, which can result in generators regressing a lot and exploding.
Sometimes DBD has issues with generating a skill check prompt as well, but it still generates the skill check itself, meaning you basically get a "ghost skill check" that is impossible to complete which will always result in the generator exploding and losing progress.
You can also get skill checks when getting off of a generator which causes it to instantly explode and lose progress (indeed a frustrating mechanic).
There are multiple possible reasons.

Take note of what is happening around you when the gen explodes. Might help narrow it down. Likely killer perks.

And as i said i know about the checks, but since i came back to the game today, everytime i check, the gen still explode.
Its like if there was a perk where if we dont precisely check on the exact spot like we need to do sometimes, but now its like that All the time so i cant even play.
Was there a new perk added for killers where survivors not only have to check, but to check the super precise little bar thats within the check??
If so is there a survivor perk to counter it???
Because its permanent.

So you're saying the explosion specifically happens when you get skill checks, and it happens every single time you get a skill check?

Weirdly enough it almost sounds like really old ruin, if I'm understanding the description properly.
When the skill check happens if hit the skill check in the great zone, it's fine, but if you hit it in the good zone the gen explodes and gets regression?

Yep 5% regression on good skill checks and 0% bonus progression on great skill checks. Made the instructions add on for toolboxes really useful.

Thinking it’s possibly Overcharge, Unnerving Presence, Jolt, Eruption or Pain Resonance.
Overcharge triggers a very small skillcheck when you touch a gen the killer has kicked, and Unnerving makes all skillchecks smaller when you’re in the terror radius. The “great” section is unchanged, but the “good” section is about half the usual size.
Jolt, Pain Res and Eruption just make the gen go kaboom regardless of what you’re doing on that gen. Though since you mentioned skillchecks I doubt that’s what it could be.

There was a graphics bug on ps4 a looong time ago that would make it look like a failed skillcheck every time you hit one. It was patched out and I haven't heard anything about it happening recently. Would definitely need more information on what you're doing when it happens and what killers are running. If you get video, upload to youtube, then post link here and we could give you a better idea of what it is. Could be a perk, a bug, or even a bad connection making you miss checks when it seems like they're good. It's hard to tell without seein what you're seein.

This sounds like Overcharge, which is in the current meta.
Whenever a Killer kicks a Generator, it starts to regress at 75% speed, but rises to 200% regression over 30 seconds. The next Survivor to get on that generator gets a very difficult Skill Check which causes the Generator to lose 5% progression if it is failed.
But if it has to do with normal Skill Checks, I would recommend running the perk Technician or a Toolbox with the anti-Skill Check addon. They are of course not permanent solutions but can help while you solve what the issue is.

Uhhh lol yeah, so many answers and im not sure what it is because i never check what the killers uses.
But a perk that would make it where we just cant progress on gens is Ridiculous.
I do the check on time but its like its much faster than normal so its like i missed and keep missing everytime.
I had 3 games like that on every gens so i stopped playing.

SO, i just found out that my controls settings were resetted.
Probably because of the update ?
Why does this happen ??
Its the first time it happened.
Im on PS4 and had NO FREAKIN idea why my checks wouldnt work anymore.
I went to settings and for WTV reason i couldnt see anything different.
Im really dissapinted by this.
It seems that now after Every update, we will have to check to be sure the controls were not resetted.
