What is the proper response to cheaters?
Reporting them does not do any good, so that is off the table. What is the proper response to cheats? The number of cheaters is way down, but I still get one or two a week. In game what is the proper response? If you dc you get punished, so it seems like cheaters just trap you in game. Could you make a dc option which can be used for cases of cheating?

Reporting them does work. You need to record evidence and submit a ticket here: Submit a request – Dead by Daylight

Reporting them absolutely does work, but BHVR - I think - bans in waves.
The problem with an option like that would be that everyone would just use it when they want out of a match/to BM.
If you don't want a DC penalty, your best bet is to basically park somewhere, facing a wall and go get a cup of coffee. They'll get bored.

Banning in waves is the best way to do it, too.
If they banned per report, cheat makers would know when their cheats are discovered, and thus when to update.
If they ban in waves, with all the given cheats caught in a single wave, the makers don't know who was using THEIR cheat as opposed to a different one, and may be slower to update, thus catching MORE people when EAC is updated.

Cheat reporting works. Haven’t seen one cheater since the announcement a few months ago.

I have never heard of anyone getting banned but I have run into multiple cheaters who have been reported but who are still playing.
