the new survivor hud came to confirm the obvious: survivors don't do gens

i must say it's been worse that before the patch, because killers now are stacking the nastiest slowdown perks and tunneling/camping the first one they see, match after match, and survivors lack the basic: doing gens.

they don't do gens, for real. no matter how much mommy behaviour buffs survivors, survivors still have 0 game sense.

Yeah, people in online games often do stuff you don't want them to do. What's your point? BHVR gave people the tools to succeed. There's no reason to be hiding anymore because you can see when the killer is in chase. So what else are these survivors you're talking about doing? Are they AFK? Who boots up a game to not do stuff in it?

On your trite tunnel/camp complaint: yawn. Boring. Come up with some new material.

Drives me crazy too, why are you searching boxes nothing but trash in there. What ever you get is not as useful as just getting on a gen

It's like survivors are becoming dumber. What more do you want fellow survivors? Just. Do. Gens. Not that hard. C'mon. And I understand if you're doing your challenge. I do them too. But what I'm referring to is the latter. If you know another survivor is being chased, hence the chasing icon on the hud, stay on that Gen. Thank you 😊

I mean, at least I can know what teammates are and arent active playing the game. So I guess it's a positive.

And the funny part, there are people on these forums being serious when they cry for buffs to compensate the idiocy of their teammates.

I dont know. Maybe its your region or mmr range or something. on EU server (germany), the above soft cap mmr range ppl are doing gens. with the small map, the killer often creates a lot of pressure. this can be seen on the chase symbols. on the big map it just takes a while to get to the next gen.

    Huh?

Yeah, I've seen a killer camp and another tunnel today. So...2/9.

But I've also seen the sweatiest, meanest, most BM, most 'yeah let's go out of our way to deny the killer BP' butts I've seen in ages.

There's something about this event specifically that has annoyed people.

    Eh.

    It's not that bad. Mostly.

Matchmaking is a bit weird this evening - probably due to the tome starting. I had a match on Knight where I went to Lery's and got my buns absolutely toasted (like...5 hooks all game, gens *flew*). Turns out that it was 3 TTVs and their 9,400 hour friend playing together and for some reason they got sent up against me on a killer I've played maybe <25 games on total.

I've said this before the HUD came out and the update only confirmed my worst fears. You could give every SoloQ player every single aura reading perk and you would still not see a significant change in SoloQ life. As long as the matchmaking is complete thrash, SoloQ is going to be the most miserable gaming experience.

Many players struggled with new DH for a few weeks after it was implemented live. Give players time to adapt to these new changes. Not everyone plays the PTB and not everyone reads the patch notes.

After 30s, if survivors are not doing gens, the gens will repair themselves.

Solo survivors will become more efficient with the HUD update.

I expect some after match toxicity during the transition. Because people finally see how useful or useless their teammates are, without equipping Bond or Kindred.

Can you imagine what will happen to the kill rates for the lower tier killers if survivors actually do start to sit on gens?

We might even get some buffs.

I can appreciate what they were going for with the new update / icons. I can see it helping new players that may be struggling for sure. At the end of the day though, if your teammates aren’t the greatest, all the info in the world isn’t gonna matter much.

Gen shaming should become the norm

Gen shame people in end game chat for not doing gens, now you've got the proof too

Add end game chat to console dbd so you can gen shame console players too
