Is Knight orb grabbing bannable? Like shown in this video. Or are reports a waist of time?

Pretty sure they've only ever banned for one thing like this and that was Infinite Mend.

How is this not bannable? This is very obviously exploiting a bug for a drastic, unfair advantage.

Only times I've done this was on accident, seems nonsensical that I should be banned for it.

I am not suprised since the Knight's orb isn't really a orb it's just hidden Knight model driving around the path. You can see it sometimes with some aura reading, like Kindred for example (just for a second knight appears somewhere else or you don't see him standing next to hook when he is far away creating orb).

It's clearly not intentional and it's likely BHVR will eventually fix this but it's not bannable if someone keeps doing it. The killswitch exists and if BHVR doesn't use it then that means they're fine with people abusing the bug.

Conversely, one can conclude that the developer actively supports exploits although he would have the means to counteract them.

Not exactly. They just aren't all that bothered by it. Look at Twins. Still unplayable after 2 months and not killswitched yet.

If I caused the problem, know about the problem and have the opportunity to ensure that the problem is not used and do nothing, then I have actively decided to do so.
the twins bug is sad, but it only affects you yourself. it cannot be used to deliberately destroy other people's fun in the game.
