How do you counter double blighted addon blight?
Had my first experience with a P100 version of these the other day and I found it more punishing than old nurse in gideons meat plant. He had used a macmillan offering, so the map was pretty ideal for him.
He had lethal pursuer and apparently came for me, first. I ended up being smacked while shaking heads with another survivor ~15 seconds into the match. By the time I was unhooked another survivor had been hooked and another was in chase. Just after being healed, he was on his way back from hooking the other survivor. So, I jumped into shack window and within moments he was rushing in, so I jump out as he runs out. I immediately jump back in, thinking I tricked him. I hear him outside as I'm walking to the pallet, so I look for him through the window thinking he might be on his way back, and out of nowhere he's in front of me and I'm down - scared the s**t out of me. Hooks me, then does the same to another survivor, hooks them just in time for me being unhooked. I wasn't even halfway healed before he got back to my side of the map to down me and kill me.
The match was over in less than 5 minutes, and I honestly have no idea how we could have survived for more than that. It was like he could get to us faster than we could get to any obstacles, much less sit at and repair generators. I felt like I had just given up, but I don't know if I even got an opportunity to do that, lol.
What does one do in this circumstance?

When a good blight gets a lot of pressure rolling like that it takes a good chase on the survivors part to get the game back in order. The goes for other killers, but obviously normal killer movements will be done at least twice as fast on blight. Chase - hook - chase - hook - back to previous hook ect. Truly the best way to figure out how to go against blight is to either play him or watch a streamer like LilithOmen (not otz for blight). Blight has the most varied amount of counter play out of any killer in this game, but that doesn't mean any of it is available at a given time. Although double speed blight is rough. Any tile you play when going against a blight you need to look at the outside and be able to understand what collision he has around the tile. Typically it's best to stay on the outside of a tile until you are certain you can get a hit on blight. Even without double speed blight can play shack like he did vs you, if you vault while he's at either door you are forced to take a medium back in and will get hit unless he is slow. Ideally you never let yourself get put into that position. So if you have enough distance to run away from the window as he comes around and you realize he doesn't have collision close enough (or at all) to get you before you make it safety somewhere else you go for it. Another big thing is counting rushes if he starts rushing near you, you can play completely differently if you know how many rushes he has left (2 seconds per token). I know I didn't' help much here, but a lot of my blight knowledge has been learned visually and doesn't come to mind as much as it is reactionary to survivor plays and different tiles.
A lot of people won't put in the effort to understand blight (which I understand) and can really never know how to play good vs him because of it. So I really would recommend going to watch Lilith. The only downside of watching him is that you might be expecting blights to play good, and take hits for it. That goes for all killers though.

Yeah what sava said. Also if you know the blight has a tendency to run to a thin obstacle near you on his first rush which he can't attack in then you can attempt a pluto tech. Thats just sitting in front of the tree which more often then not is the obstacle that spawns near shack on window side opposite of the pallet on macmillan (all though I see box tiles spawn sometimes too). This causes the blight to slip off you and cause him to either fatigue or go to another farther tile which causes a 50/50 compared to the guaranteed hit if you didn't pluto.
This can also work on the short wall tiles around the window on the outside where there's that wall right there. You can stand at the corner near the window and he would slide past you because he cant bump survivors and goes past the tile.

Skill issue doesn't apply to a killer that counters BASIC RUNNING. He's like Nurse, except we trade solid objective phasing for the ability to do it 4 times.

I don't know how exactly that works but you can moonrush with Blight. That happened to me twice yesterday. Also Hug Tech is still in the game. Then there is the issue with certain slippery collisions that can sometimes (though very rarely) work in your favor.

From your name, I think you know. And it was stated on stream by McClean that hug tech specifically (not all sliding off objects) was unintended. Mandy has confirmed the devs consider it a bug.

This, also I wonder when exactly are we getting rid of this bug or the players who exploit this bug.
Idk why has Mandy not made any comment since may on this bug and why it hasn´t been fixed yet.
But I assume, next mid chapter when they also nerf Blight addons.

Oh boo boo, you can’t mindlessly hold that precious W key against blight. I’m sorry he calls for actual skill to be in chase with.
I would argue moonrush is not a bug. Being able to slide off objects was intentionally added via blight pov at the time of rushing.
Maybe they won’t fix it. Plenty of “bugs” get left and added as base game. It happens ALL the time. But time will tell.
I don’t think y’all realize that the hug tech is simply a more fun way to go for flicks. 95% of the hits I land with a hug tech are me taking a risk for the sake of fun, where I can get a GUARANTEED hit using bump logic. Not to mention, the hug tech is MUCH more counterable than simple bump logic. It is easy to see if a blight is about to hugtech because it takes 2-3 seconds to set up.
If they patch it out, it’s going to be less fun for both sides.

Too much effort for 99% of the player base to actually get good/understand Blight to a proficient level.

2/30 killers in dbd are viable vs teams of 4 good survivors but its definitely the killers that are the problem

MMR doesn't work very well but if there is an excess of killers around your mmr you will get matched with them. So if you enjoy a good blight, try to raise it. I would think late afternoon to early evening is prime time for getting matched with what you are looking for, though I could be wrong. Although an actually good blight is probably really rare. There's a good chance that a high mmr is a mediocre blight running c33 or tunneling straight off hook with alch ring.
Just as I play at 12AM-4AM in hopes of going against the rare truly skilled survivors, only to get matched with marginally more skilled survivors running really strong builds, you may experience the same thing with killers. I don't tunnel because I want to see a survivors full potential in chase starting healed. But at least 95% of the player base don't think like that.

Same. It’s so rare I see a survivor that has the actual knowledge to counter my flicks and bump logic. Too many of them just try to hold W. Edit: or the most common, them trying to greed a pallet that’s surrounded by bump logic objects. I don’t know why they try and greed so hard EVERY TIME.

It's genuinely hard to play vs blight. But no other killer allows for both sides to have counterplay at the same time consistently.
As you said it's too bad survivors just don't see or understand collision. IT"S NOT MY FAULT THEY DON"T REALIZE THAT ANGLE ON THAT T-pee doesn't have collision. I know it's overused and used poorly on this forum but it really is a skill issue.

There is no point in talking with Blight mains, they repeat the same thing and talk about skill issue.
You both main Blight with Alch Ring and you use hug bug. That's literally a skill issue.
The worst part is, that @HugTechLover thinks that Blight is the hardest killer in the game and that hug bug is part of his skill ceiling.

I actually never really use alch ring. :) Name a killer with a higher skill ceiling.
I would say it’s hard to play against a GOOD blight. Which they are not too common. A beginner - intermediate blight can be pretty easy to beat and even bully depending on the skill of the survs.

There are some good tips here. I main killer and play blight sometimes, but I'm on console, so maybe I'll just have to get better with him to better understand. Because you're right, playing killers is the best way to understand them.
Your point about not putting yourself into that position at the window explains a lot. Now, I'm thinking I was just not paying attention and he ran past me through the pallet door and bounced off a tree there and I jumped back in too soon. Meaning I put myself in the prefect place for him to keep an eye on me, and have me whether I stayed inside or outside.
Normally I can avoid getting hit for a while. But, this is the first experience I've had where I think I just had no idea what to do. I am going to take your advice and try to get better at blight.

Considering the title of the post, I'm not sure what to say to this, heh.
Unfortunately, the 12 months between Aug 21'-22', the game saw 9 months of population loss, 7 of which were consecutive. I was in that batch and only came back recently in October. No one I knew has come back, and looking at the steam charts, it doesn't look like many have in general. Everyone I used to talk to is playing overwatch, elden ring pvp, fortnite or some culty game like dayz.

Not every game is agains't 4 good survivors. But if they could put decent/good blights only agains't those top teams then he could be more balanced. Only casual/console blights should be able to play agains't casual/average survivors.

Right, so he counters holding w. Just loop him. His counter is looping. he often can't use his power around tight loops and it is very difficult around even 90 degree corners like jungle gyms.

Given that the MMR cap for matchmaking is 1600 , and when it wasn't it literally took top players hours to find a single match, this will never happen.

Casuals won't get high enough in MMR to face challenging blights, so why would this be a concern?

Don't act like mmr keeps new players and vets separated all the time. I have over a 90% kill rate and still end up against survivors with hardly any play time and occasionally ones with less than a day. Mmr range is quickly expanded to keep queue times low

Honesty your average pub lobby doesn't stand a chance against a good blight, if they're running any of his cracked add ones your average swf doesn't stand a chance. If you're solo don't expect to escape and just try to have some fun.

No one disagrees with that, but it makes blight way more fun. That's the argument, you missed it in your last 2 panels there. Or should you just remove bug that are objectively not that good even though they make the game more fun? Goodbye all survivor techs am I right?

The Blight mains protest too much. It's not about fun, it's about free hits at small tiles where you would have to chase normally or use 3-5 rushes to get a hit instead of exploiting a bug. It absolutely makes him needlessly stronger and more frustrating to try to counter.

The only advantage the hug tech gives is mitigating rushes in general. A few small tiles as well but those tiles you are referring to are generally trash filler pallets in the first place. It's about fun way more than strength. .75 seconds to start a hug tech that has a telegraphed trajectory or fast bump logic with nearly no downtime between rushes? Also hug tech hits typically are long range flicks and long range flicks are beyond easy to dodge unless in a very very tight area.

Even if you predict it correctly the Blight only uses 1 or 2 tokens so now you're just being rushed down in the open. Or, you predict it correctly and get hit anyway due to the bs demo size hitbox.

That’s dependent on the loop size. If you leave the loop immediately, the blight will still be looking down. Some loops he won’t even see you leave. If you stay at the loop, swing out wide while he hug techs.

What you should read is the matchmaking in this game is terrible and always has been and should be fixed.

Well yeah but they're not probably going to do that. I face sweaty survivors when I play wraith but when I play spirit with mother daugter ring and dried cherry blossom, I face more casual survivors. And when I play soloQ agains't blight I only get casual survivor teammates and even decent ones usually can't do much agains't him.

The way to beat any killer with any addons is to play survivor and not be bad at the game. Survivors are unbelievably op, so it's quite literally impossible to lose.

Even if he can be tricky to outplay, he undeniably has the highest skill ceiling. He's just really powerful on top of that, which makes it seems like he's easy. There are so many factors that can screw you playing Blight that you have to change pace on the fly several times per match and maintain control. His add-ons need fixing but that does not change the fact he takes a lot of skill and good decision making to really take full advantage of. Unfortunately he is also really good at tunneling which is understandably extremely annoying...

Nah, for the most part there is no real gameplay when going against c33 blight. Many times getting tunneled out off hook with alch ring is really hard to deal with.
