When a map prop gets more attention than a Killer's game-breaking bug(s):
Comments

This GannTM person is speaking facts, but they really seem like a nerd!
25 -
Think there were more forum post about the missing horse than the Twins.
14 -
BHVR programmers are just slow at their job. Very slow. There's several years-old glitches in this game that still are waiting to be fixed.
2 -
when the
wc -l
on your shamefully specific regexgrep
causes a hangup you know you're in for a fun decade.0 -
Explain in DBD terms
0 -
You can understand regular expressions and still require additional clarification, because the original post didn't include context.
Who's your target? Only DBD people who can specifically reference the incident, that also use the forums?
4 -
I'm not going to elaborate any further, I've made my point. You can stop asking, thank you.
0 -
Maurice isn't just a map prop, you take that back you swine.
5 -
I love Maurice but I love the Twins more </3 Why can't we have both?
#hatsforvictor
6 -
Not at the thread becoming a hunt for clarification of a programing joke no one got.
0 -
I don't know about being a nerd, but I do know they have poor taste because they're obsessed with ugly spirit.
*Sorry Gan, I had to. I haven't seen you posting in a while and got excited.

anyway just in case people wanted to know ,wc' is a command in linux and im sure elsewhere too for ,,word count", though despite the name it can be used for more than just a word count.
regex is short for RegularExpression (again, linux). basically they just help you search for specific letters, key phrases, etc, and then do things with it.
i think anyway, i failed computer science.
long story short, not funny didn't laugh, but also it didn't take me 13 years to explain it with coding knowledge that's limited to python and scratch so im sure that lovely commenter couldve explained it in one of the 6 comments since making the joke where they instead decided to insult people.
6 -
Thanks for explaining that.
3 -
Those were the pieces I understood, I was missing why it was even relevant. I, for a brief time before he outed himself as a do-nothing antagonistic personality, wanted to know when and how that actually affected DBD. Did a variable make Maurice's head go flying off or something?
This is a thread talking about bugs, afterall.
2 -
I mean… if it’s between Maurice or The Twins… it’s Maurice every single day for me. 🐴
4 -
well babes if i can hit 21.3k posts and still not be perma banned then im sure you couldve reached 200 without being temp banned
4 -
Oh wow, a Linux based programming joke, no wonder no one got it.
Nevermind the unlikable behaviour our jokester displays on a regular basis.
5 -
oh no im lost beyond there show me code more complex than scratch and i have a little cry
1 -
Fair. I love Maurice too.
I bought The Binding of Kin and am super disappointed I can't play my favorite Killer.

They need to give Victor skins. I would completely get this as a skin for Victor. I even have a picture of how Victor would look attacking two Vittorio clones in era appropriate clothing.
Same jump arc as Victor too. It'd even allow for a new stun perk for survivors 'Holy Hand Grenade'.
1 -
Holy Grail bunny Victor skin when? lol
2 -
See that's a big issue for many people in the Dead By Daylight community.
Falsely assuming that the other side must necessarily be mad.
0 -
i mean you're the one that refused to explain a joke and instead began trying to insult people instead of just explaining the joke or doing nothing so you can't really blame them for thinking you're slightly more vexxed than you let on

Claims this has become an off-topic IRC chat.
Continues to use it like an IRC chat.
Wonders why we assume.
Still struggles to use the quoting function
Spoiler alert - No one is assuming anymore. Maybe in the beginning, maybe.
Edit: I can't help myself, guys. This is such low-hanging fruit. I've let you all down.
1 -
Still trying to work out how a word count on a regex is relevant to DBD. Where would they have possibly been using a regex in the code anyway? The game barely has text input. Except as the worst possible option for a chat filter.
8 -
Hmmm that's a good possibility

Dear Lord please use the quote feature before it spreads to the rest of us......OH NO I started doing it.
*runs around screaming like a Muppet*
But back at the topic Give me Maurice or give me DEATH!
4 -
Didn't Peanuts say that they're working on the Twins but it takes a bit more time to figure things out or something? (I'm paraphrasing heavily here).
Also, Maurice got what snitches get 😈 /jk
Who even uses Linux anymore 💀
0 -
Lots of people? Less so home users, but it's kind of got a massive infrastructure and business presence. :p
0 -
Nahhh... You're pulling my leg 😂 that just can't be true lol, but if it is... well... that is just sus 🤔

Who even uses Linux anymore
Just about every decent server out there including google and facebook.
I work with it daily. As in I earn money with it.

Hi. Yes, Peanits said it's being looked at. They said they previously thought it was fixed but it's clearly not.
It's disappointing none of this reached the "Known Bugs" section.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.
Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called “Linux”, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project. There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use.
Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine’s resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called “Linux” distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.

And yet you still haven't explained the joke nor how it relates to dbd... Fascinating.

Charlotte doesn’t approve of these gambreaking bugs or this guys Linux jokes

Let's keep this discussion civil, please. And while I am but a Community Moderator, I AM someone that adores the Twins (playing as, going against, and will become a Force Ghost on the hill that Victor NEEDS at least a hat!), and speaking as both and touching on something Mandy has brought up a few times before: please understand some bug fixes are a bit quicker/simpler to resolve than others, and that absolutely does not mean they have less priority (and of course, the bug fixing team is not the same as teams that work on other parts of the game, such as those that brought Maurice home <3 ).
2 -
Yes I say give Vic a fancy hat and small suit. Or better yet I would love Vic to be wearing a old school mobster style outfit from the prohibition era.
1 -
Give Victor a pirate hat for the Twins' Rift cosmetics. Give him a little pig head for their Very Rare cosmetic (...that doesn't exist anymore), a groom's top hat for the wedding outfits, and also we just need a skin which turns Twins into some alien monstrosity and a horrific abomination comes crawling out of Charlotte.

Hi it’s been awhile, how have you been c:

I don't know which one I hate more
