Why I can't play as survivor?

I opened the game and there is none of my friends in the friends list and when I try to play as survivor pops up a message saying: Failed to create the party, a friend of mine also reported the error, it is also xbox, I looked in streams to see if any PC streamer was in trouble, and apparently it is only on Xbox or console.

    Same thing is happening to me. Came from playing killer to switch to survivor. Which said failed to create party. Restarted both my console and the game multiple times. Even reset my internet. Still saying the same thing after going back in the game.

    Huh just as well I can't get on tonight anyway then lol. Sounds like an xbox live issue.
