Favorite: Demo. He feels really balanced, and his powers help with map traversal and long range attacks. Simple and enjoyable.

Least favorite: Oni. I suck at using his power, leaving me with an M1 killer.

Favorite: Billy. Chainsaw go Brrrrrrrrr. I just love him. He has a high skill ceiling, can be played in creative ways and is mechanically demanding, so you always get better.

Least favorite: Oni. Something about him feels off to me. I always want to barf when I use his rush.

Favorite: Deathslinger is my comfort killer. I just love the aesthetic of shooting people and reeling them in, and he's pretty good on most maps. I enjoy the perk choices that work on him too, imo, most things work. Pyramid head is a close second, and twins a third and fourth, these are basically my mains.

Least Favorite: Probably Freddy, he's cumbersome in chase and has very bad addon offerings, and doesn't have a lot of great perk builds. He doesn't have good avenues for skill expression either, he borderline plays himself. Love the aesthetic that gets applied to the map though. Second least favorite is artist, I don't even have a reason why I just don't enjoy her. I can't think of a third.

Favorite: Blight. Fun, feels like a racing car in a hold w game, strong and works with many perks. once you go blight you can't go back.

Least: Pig - vs strong survivors you always get bmed cause she's not scary at all, just feel sad playing her.

Deathslinger - after his nerf there really is no reason to play him. the other range killers do things better.

Favorite:Billy, I'm horrendously bad at him but even if I am he's still really fun to play.

Least favorite:Trickster, he's just way to weak to be fun for me. And I just don't like his design, lore, skins, etc, I don't load up dbd to play as a murderous k-pop star.

Favourite: currently Blight, probably going to drift back to Pinhead and Wesker at some point, but I like being a pinball. Also, running shadowborn is actively helpful rather than just "so the game doesn't look and feel like crap".

Least Favourite: Sadako. Kind of... pointless, most of the time.

If there's one nice thing about slinger compared to other ranged killers nowadays, it's that dead hard does literally nothing against him.

Favorite: Artist. I just love everything about her power and it's super fun to use

Least Favorite: Oni. His power seems a little weird to me and is a little difficult for me to use.

Favorite: Nurse is at the top, but I like any killer that allows me to be aggressive. I also play a lot of Plague, Wesker, Billy, and Spirit. I hate the omega 3 gen playstyle.

Least favorite: Knight. Insanely boring power. No mechanical skill expression. Only good at the most boring playstyles imaginable.

Favorites: Demo, Wesker, Billy and Trapper

Least Favorite to Play (and to face):

    • In 2016: Hag
    • In 2017: Hag
    • In 2018: Hag
    • In 2019: Hag
    • In 2020: Hag
    • In 2021: Hag
    • early to mid-2022: Hag
    • from late-2022 to today: Knight

@ devs: Congratulations! You successfully managed to create an even worse and utterly boring creature than Lisa Sherwood 😄

Favorite: Twins - Or at least they would be if they actually worked. The ability to handle one section of the Map and then instantly handle a completely different section of the map and bounce back and forth makes the game feel dynamic in a way no other killer can.

Least favorite: Nurse - Looking at the ground constantly is obnoxious and even if it wasn't I don't wanna feel carried by my character choice. Same goes for Blight.

Favorites: Bubba, Legion, Father Triangle (PH), Nemesis, Dredge.

Bubba- Since I don't camp I get to have more fun with his power. It's very satisfying to rev n' rip a survivor with the chainsaw and not having to worry about sprinting at mach 4.

Legion- go fast and stab😊. Before the major update to Legion's power I still played them because I just liked the power of "go fast and stab".

Pyramid Head- I can't play him effectively but I don't really mind. Chasing people down and tormenting them feels like I really am Pyramid Head (except not really because the ACTUAL PH is far more scary)

Nemesis- Me and my 2 zombie homies wreaking havoc with infection. Now if only I wasn't addicted to trying to mainly use M2...

Dredge- Spooky amalgamation nightmare creature bursting out of lockers and turning out the lights, what's not to like?

Least Favorites: Trapper, Hillbilly, Hag, Fredward (Nightmare), Pig, Ghost Face

Trapper/Hag- Same reason: setup sucks. Both of their traps are too visible on many maps (Trapper's traps are hard to hide and Hag's traps stick out like a terrible bruise) and both killers powers feel too old. Hag's power hasn't been TOUCHED since 2.3.0 ("b-but she got an update in 6.3.0" yes; her MUSIC was changed, gaining unique Menu music, TR audio, and chase "music") and Trapper loses potential for every huge map, not to mention the both need roughly a minute or two for setup or else they're just M1 killers. I was never a fan of "combo/setup" playstyles as they require too much brainpower to maintain, even moreso further into the game when the stakes increase. How am I to have fun murdering people when I have to devote precious time to resetting my web of traps every few minutes?

Billy- Billy doesn't feel good to control. From the turning restrictions during the sprint to moving around (I am paranoid that his shambling actually is translated into his collision and POV while moving). Just about every time I sprint I can turn once at 40% turn rate and then never be able to turn again until the sprint ends. And the sad part about Billy is that any cluttered map or maps with lots of 90° turns is almost impossible to get a good run with the dude, so you can't even really use your power for much.

Fredward- Freddy's enjoyment for me seems to be at the toss of a coin, which also depends on the state he's in. Prior to the 4.7.0 nerf he was fine and somewhat enjoyable, feeling like a dream demon that was dangerous to be against. After 4.7.0 the coin flipped to tails and now he's not as much fun. Something that I never quite got was why doesn't his Snare power and Pallet power get merged into one so that you don't have to lose an addon slot to play a different Freddy style?

Pig- The biggest chunk of her power is meant to "waste time" and only marginally does that solely from survivor actions (albeit unknowingly), the other part is "crouching pig screaming tiger" as it were. Wasn't the whole idea of the Jigsaw traps was to put the target into a sense of fear knowing that their life can be easily snuffed out after misusing it for so long, for them to possibly make it out of the trap with a new lease on life? With the Pig that doesn't feel like the case as more often your kills will be at the hook and not the trap. Should the traps be more brutal/deadly? No.. because then it'd be unfair for the survivors and too easy for a Pig win.

Ghost Face (who for some reason my brain keeps saying "Garry Face")- My main reason is that I just get real tired of easily being revealed. I wanna be the "shadowy stalker that hides in the shrubs watching you do your gen" but it's hard to do that when any survivor can just swing their camera around and spot you no problem. After a while it becomes grating and I begin to loathe having chose Garry Face for that match, but at least I can dance like a survivor 😁.

Haven't played them all, but so far :

Favorite : Legion, because I have fun zooming around and chaining hits is very satisfying

Least favorite : Nurse, her fatigue makes me motion sick

Favorite: Trickster, I enjoy his laughs and lines,

^Wesker is the runner up for the same reason

Least favorite: Billy, steering his chainsaw always feel weird and daily haunts me for it.

    Favorites, Demo, Wesker and Twins

    Least, probably Nurse and Trickster

Demo is just so versatile and can adapt to so many different builds and strategies, and I also am just a huge fan of Stranger Things.

Wesker plays similar to Demo as his lunge plays similar to shred so he was easy to pick up

Twins is just unique and fun, they've been weakened by the healing meta that we are in but I still really enjoy them and again Victors pounce plays much like demos shred so it was easy to pick up.

Nurse and Trickster both take a major hit for me because they are very ungainly and rough to control on console. Ive gotten a bit better with Trickster going for his achievement but Nurse may forever be out of reach unless they add Keyboard and mouse for console.

Most favourite: Oni. When you learn to play as him he is so rewarding and fun killer. He can be really problematic to play on huge and safe maps because you can play as trapless Traper but still. Fun, strong, balanced and pretty hard, almost perfect killer (just like Wesker)

Least favourite: Mayers. Maybe a bit controversial but I don't find anything funny about playing him. He is slow as #########, his power is staring on survivors to have them exposed for a minute (or something around this). Unlike Ghostface you are not stealthy all the time, you can't use your power on just one survivor and the best part is... YOU CAN RUN OUT OF YOUR POWER! It is so much fun when you barely have any chase power and still can end up with nothing. And both his mirror and tombstone playstyle are not fun. Mirror is at least pleasant for survivors but tombstone is like AIDS for both sides.

Traper is not much better but I find him more funny to play.

    Favorite: The Shape, Demo

🔪 The Shape: With Scratched Mirror and Lunge perks, Meyers is overpowered. The fact that you don't need to level up and can see Survivors within a 32-m range PLUS you are basekit Undetectable makes for a deadly combination. Its hilarious to hide around a corner in Midwich and watch Survivors running up the stairs towards you with no idea that a jump scare/hit is about to happen.

🦖 Demo: Using the Lichen perk you can see every Survivor on the map when traveling through portals. Plus the ability to warp around the map within seconds and be able to sneak up on Survivors with Undetectable is awesome.

    🚷 Least: Cannibal, Wraith, Huntress

Cannibal is too loud and sticks out like a sore thumb as he rumbles around the map. Wraith and Huntress just seem too boring to me.

    Favorite:

huntress - feels good to land hatchets

Pig - she just feels good: her weapon is small and doesn't obscure your screen, she has stealth and game slowdown that you can utilize, her mori is fast ans efficient so she is just great to use

    Least:

    Shape, hag, trapper:

They all need to so something before becoming a threat and it feels boring, i want to chase and hit survivors asap

    Favorites:

Freddy, = its freddy but hes more boring now but chill

Sadako = legit visual design, sfx, animations are just cool af

    Least:

Hag = just to slow for my tastes.

    Favorite Killers:

Pig- SAW fan... highest level and has most perks

Huntress- Throwing hatches and getting hits is a good feeling

Spirit- Got to rank 1 after playing a match with her... never will forget that

Hag- I like the Traps she has

Deathslinger- Feels like I'm playing COD again

Doctor- Making 4 Survivors scream and the chuckle he has (I feel the same way)

    Least Favorite Killers:

Bubba- The power is just to much for me without playing him (I know that playing him I will get better at it... but I digress)

Freddie- I fell off of playing him... HIs power doesn't feel right IMO but I don't know what it is

Trapper- Feels like a "I lose" Killer

    Killers I haven't played yet:

Dredge- I had to stop playing the game (due to personal reasons) before he came out

    Wesker- See the reason above

    Knight- See the reason above

Demo is my fave. Extremely blanced IMO and takes skill to play well, both in chase skill to hit shreds and planning skill to use portals effectively.

My least favourite has to be blight. Cool idea but being on console I can't hit lethal rush to save my life. I end up just M1ing him. Since I got my adept blight I haven't touched him. I might muck about with him at some point to try and get the hang of him but unlikely.

I Know its remake freddy and not the original but how awesome would it be if they brought in Robert Englund and recorded him some voice lines like Wesker/Pinhead.

The Only things that made blight not make make my least list is even though I essentially have to play in structures like an M1 killer, I can make his power work in the open and on some of the more unsafe pallets. Plus any killer that has a power that cuts through pallets faster gets a thumbs up in my book.

    EvilSerje Member Posts: 1,070

Camping and tunneling idiots are the least favorite. Today there was 5 out of 6 games. Every other killer is very nice and welcome (from nurse to trapper)

  • HoodedWildKard
    HoodedWildKard Member Posts: 2,013

Yeeeeah thats why I love demo. It can churn through pallets at an alarming rate which makes for amazing chases. I suppose tue other reason I don't wanna practice with blight is nurse syndrome. Once someone gets good with either killer chases become extremely short. It's unfun for survivors and tbh pretty boring for killer to have super short conventional chases.

I would really really like that. it be cool af to hear the real freddy speak. but in our dreams sadly
