When Devs finally balance the game around hooks, not kill.
When the game balanced with 8-9 hooks. Why should I stop going for 60% kill rate when I can go for 90% kill rate with the same hook counts?
Its stupid to have a killer tunnel a survivor out, then camp another one at end game, then drops MMR to play against even more potato survivors because they achieve less hooks than they should. While another killer want fair and make the match fun gets to play against sweat squads eventhough they had 0K last match just because they had more hooks than they shoud.
Current MMR is not always work, but I like the way it is, let killers who want 90% kill rate play with survivors who want 90% escape rate. Its not skill based, its how hard you want to win based.

Step one: we need a highly skilled killer & survivor player on the dev team.
Step two : the devs need to be willing to nerf the best things in the game such as SWF Nurse and Blight.
Step three : DBD needs innovative ideas to reforge the current meta so that tunneling gens/survivors is not how every game plays out.

step 4: not gonna happen (sadly), it would require too much efforts/time invested for the devs.
let's be real, everyone here has different views and ideas about the game and how to fix certain flawed mechanics, but noone of the things that people ask to be fixed will be adressed properly... Think about it: back in the old days people were complaining about camping and tunneling. Nowdays the issues are still the same, with the problem of certain perks being overused (aka meta builds unchanged)

The devs have stated multiple times they will not balance survivor/sef differently. Because why would they, its the same character, but different mindsets and extrrnal tools.
So step two is utter fantasy as survivors are currently being buffed because ("survivor + stuff devs have no control") > "survivor", and nurse was just nerfed. Meaning Your step is only applied to one team.
Your step three sadly reminds me of Deathgardens brilliant idea to remove the bloodpost and use a lifepool for the scavengers, resulting in them ignoring kills and rushing their objective even more. (Imo one of the bigger balance fails that ended the game)

Honestly I think Blight is fine. It's his disgustingly busted addons that are the problem.

You can't nerf SWF though. The main strength of SWF is they can use Discord/etc to communicate, which BHVR has no control over. Giving gen speed debuffs to people playing in a group is also a bad idea because it punishes people who play in a SWF and don't use communication, not to mention it dissuades SWFs from playing in general, which is a large portion of the playerbase.
All they can do is try and buff Solo queue to a closer level to SWF (there will always be a big gap though), and buff certain killers accordingly.
Nurse does need another nerf though, as does Blight addons.

Its not about balance anymore. They will never fix camping/tunneling, weaken SWF .ect
Its about how people should understand the harder players want to win, should play against equal try hard.

Why nerf all swf, my brothers and I play some nights we are not pros. Just cause you group up doesn't make anyone good

Did you ever see the video of M. Cote playing in Korea? One of the people on the panel said to him: if you were better at the game then DBD would have better balance. I was implying that there has never been anyone on the dev team who could play both killer and survivor at high MMR and play extremely well.
I am not saying Dwight needs to have a different MMR than Meg.
The best person they ever had on the team that I had spoken to was Horvath (who designed the nurse). He was decent at playing killer but not top notch. Mclean was a step under that - from looking at his live stream. Most of the development team from what I gather plays a step below that (including M. Cote - if you ever watched him play trapper in 2016-18 when he used to stream). If for example you ever watch Almo you will not be blown away by constant 4k's against 5k hour survivors.
This is not a "bash the developer" post. You can verify for yourself how well the team plays when you watch them stream. You will notice a massive difference in effectiveness when compared to "professional" streamers.
Absolutely you can nerf SWF.
Allow no character/perk/item/offering resets. This would 100% stop bully squads. Lock character changes other than costume while in queue. Add hud feature to see perks of team members while in a SWF lobby.

It mightve been my wording and mentioning the steps in the next paragraph, but my post didnt intend to argue with the point of balance being better if they had a decent player on the team. (Thats an nobrainer and shouldnt be contesed by sane people)

Im just saying that currently the devs arent going to nerf swf or make players in a group functionally different from default survivor.
Its not even a problem theyre throwing those "qol" buffs at survivor to equalize survivor with comms, if only they did the same with killers instesd of constantly trimming the top killers and ignoring the rest.
Edit: restricting swf will maybe cause devoted squads to lobbydodge till theyre 4 randoms again. Alternatively If the devs can totally nerf perks because theyre "too good on nurse", then they can also be nerfed if theyre "too good if used x4"

SWF is literally the most powerful force in the game. If you took any top tier tournament and let one team use voice coms and denied it to all the rest then the team with voice coms would win.
