i am a somewhat chill killer. i can live with lose. sometimes i win. thats ok. i like good matches. funny matches. intense matches either outcome i dont care win or lose. really. playing a not so strong killer as a not so strong player isnt worth playing anymore. and this makes me sad. like really sad.

what bhvr decided to make this game... no... why play killer anymore? any good killer perk will be obliterated by bhvr, not just nerfed a bit.

instead survivor stuff will get better and better or at least wont be touched.

play an m1 killer? LOL forget it. with these gen speeds someone must like bdsm

gen speeds are out of control. killers MUST run gen perks. it is a shame.

giving survivors a full new HUD and killers dont even get a hook counter... lol

matchmaking? a joke. like seriously i am maybe not that good and i can live with that but then give me similar opponents. yeah i know queue time... ever wondered why that is? because why should someone queue as killer nowadays? with like more than half of the available killers being more or less crap compared to stuff like blight or nurse or whatever s-tier.

yeah yeah git gud...,. blabla cant hear that anymore. that is just denying that dbd is in a bad state. there are a few strong killers that can match those speeds but pray to god you like to play one of the worse killers without a great power. there is a reason why so few play pig or clown or whatever. it is only if they love their killer or seek the challenge... or if they belong to that top 10% of players... but most players dont belong to the top10% as i said i can live with lose but getting like every match punched in the face for picking a low tier killer with no meta perks? no thank you.

does bhvr not want to keep new players? keep them engaged with dbd? maybe making them customers later paying for cosmetics or whatever? no? why not?

i know some of the members in this forum will disagree. but the sad truth is: dbd has some issues.

and if you think it is just me, how about this video?

Thing is and this is coming from a very biased killer main, you can a 100% still win without gen regression or using awfull regression like pop, why is that? Because wether you like to admit it or not most survivors are really bad at the game, hell people somehow manage to go down in less than a minute against m1 killers, I play a joke killer (slinger) addonless and the only regression I use is pop, I still win a fair amount of matches, because im skilled? Because slinger is good? Because pop is good? Hell nah, because my opponenets are playing incredibly bad, people still manage to get snipe by slinger LMAO.

TLDT: this is a hard cap, most survivors are so bad even trapless trapper can seem as a good killer.

Survivor is extremely hard to learn, like you have to waste of your life 5k+ hours to learn looping.

And you would still lose vs good killer if even 1 your teammate is bad.

So yeah playing killer is for most part easy and relaxing, at least for me. Survivor is good for memes but if you like to have control then killer is the only choice

I disagree with the comments on this one. Gen speed is fkn insane now, not in all matches sure, but it has definitely increased on average, survivors are way more organised in the games where i pick my strongest killers. If i play blight, billy, plague or wesker i am 💯 needing to macro full sweat - not necessarily kicking but applying constant pressure absolutely, and gens still fly. My weaker killers like Sadako, huntress, cannibal (I rarely play him) i get put against potato survivors that almost put themselves on the hook for me - go out of their way to do anything but touch gens, and gleefully catch hatchets with their faces.

I don't think this is a bad thing, just maybe dont dismiss the crux of OPs argument. Gens be moving hella fast on better teams.

    I don’t agree at all.. but I just wanted to point out;

“with these gen speeds somebody must like BDSM”

    WHAT?!😂😂😂

You have to waist like 5k of your life to learn looping?

Give it minimum of 50 hours and you can loop decent enough to not go down in 10s.

    5k hours?

Can you loop Blight with top tier addons, after 50 hours?

  • Rudjohns

    Just play survivor then

That 5K is quite accurate at that point you will be good at looping and won't fall for mindgames. You can juke all killers even blight and nurses. 50 hour survivor maybe does not go down in 10s but does go in 20s.

Does this game have problems? Yes

Is it "killer impossible now"? No

Seriously we need to stop crying about one side being impossible now. Literally a skill issue here.

I’ve honestly stopped running gen perks (except grim embrace) and have been having a fun time. Feels like all pressure of doing well is gone and I can just play for fun/archive challenges

    wrong.

oh sorry, i just did the same as you. saying something without a real argument.

and btw i never said "killer impossible". my argument is that with all the changes it has become really difficult for not-so-strong killers and maybe with not-so-meta perks to get balanced matches.

if anyone denies that killer perks are nerfed with a baseball bat, denies that killers dont even get a hook counter, denies that lower tier killer struggle <on average> a lot more due to many survivor friendly changes and denies that gens can be done much faster... i dont know, then that one is maybe playing another game?

Which is the real problem with this community

People who don't play both sides

gens already went from 80 to 90 seconds lmao im not gonna do gens anymore if that ######### will turn to 100. Holding mouse 1 is already boring.

To be fair I also stopped playing survivor.

I only play killer, and have to say way more relaxing and fun than soloq survivor lol

You are delusional thinking that killers somehow are in a bad state just because of the recent survivor buffs. It's your fault playing with the weakest killers and a weak build against full meta survivors. If you want to win, how about bringing a proper loadout? It's like you want to get those wins gifted to you. Yes low tier killers struggle more then the strongest how shocking...

Also who denies that killers don't have a hook counter? Literally never mentioned in my comment lol.

    Yes that is definitely possible.

As long as you pay attention to what you can and can't do against him and you are willing to adapt your playstyle accordingly.

His argument was that you need to waste 5k hours to learn looping, which is very untrue.

Yes they indeed still go down faster than someone who has double the time in dbd, bit it's all about learning which doesn't cost you 5k hours.

Also you stop falling for mindgames before you hit 1k hours.

If you are willing to look at your own gameplay and recognise what you did wrong and what you can and/or do differently.

I didn't even hit 1k hours and wasn't falling for most of the mindgames, sure you will still fall for it even the best do still fall for mindgames.

My point to it all is that it isn't all that hard to learn imo.

Sure not everyone is the same, but needing 5k hours to learn is quite extreme 😅

My dream is that all of gen regression and gen progression perks would get nerfed/changed, most exhaustion and aura reading perks would be nerfed/changed, and then two specific perks on each side, Windows and CoH and then Franklin's and No Way Out (2 perks on each side I feel are "hand holding"). All of this combined would change a lot of the things frustrating to both sides, make perk builds much more interesting and return the game to a feel it used to have a long time ago.

Also a bunch of Killer add-ons and all Survivor items/add-ons would get a rework, except maps. I'm actually perfectly happy with where the game is and think the balance is fine (usually always have) but this is what I would do to make the game more fair and immersive.

"if you want to win, how about bringing a proper loadout?"

thank you for admitting that my statement is right. :) Finally we agree.

Want a chill game or play non-mobility based killer? Sorry mate, wrong game for you.

Unless you want be a clown in the game with goofy build, it's either sweat it out or get tbaged at exit game. It almost feels like you are being forced to consider playing as survivor if you want to chill and leave killer role only for self-inflict pain experience.
