Why is BHVR killing perks instead of balancing it?

Hex:Ruin

It was 200% Regression until cleansed.

Now its 100% (1 survivor repairs a gen with 400% without speedups btw.) and its deactivated when 1 survivor died

---> complete useless now

Pop goes the Weasel

It was 25% progress.

Now its only 20% and only for the CURRENT progress (what a terrible new idea and way...)

---> almost complete useless

Dead Mans Switch

It was 45sec.

Now its 30sec. But not because it was too strong, no, because we had a Pain Resonance + Merciless Storm combination (a rare one btw.). Instead of fixing this, they nerfed this into Deadlock-Level, which is 4 times per game for free. What?

Self-Care

Numbers go down because it was overused in asian regions... What?

Borrowed Time

Now its Basekit, his new effect is useless. Just run Off the record.

These are just a few examples how BHVR manages to deal with "overused" perks. How about making other perks stronger for more variety instead of just killing perks which are in the current meta? Just extend the Meta-Options...

    There are 2 approach of game design:

    1, Nerf, best for PvP competitive style games

    2, Power creep, if you buff underused perks to be better then others also need to buff other perks. In short the power level is going up all the time. It isnt good for competitive PvP style games.

    Pop is still decent from my experience but your point is valid. The meta shake up was basically nerfing meta perks regardless of if they needed them while not fixing the core issues of why the meta existed

    Regression and second chance perks will always be the meta just due to how the game is designed

    I agree that they over nerfed alot of things but Pop wasn't one of them. It's still solid regression. Personally I'm all for QoL improvements/ meaningful buffs to under utilized perks.

    BT is much much better than OTR especially in a SWF. It literally guarantees an escape when in end game, and a killer noticing the absence of OTR and deciding to tunnel will be fooled by the longer endurance duration

    When I play with my friends usually just one of us runs OTR, but we're at least 2 running BT and the results are incredible
