Unresponsive Pallets

This has been an issue I've noticed for quite some time and it's getting to the point where I almost don't want to play anymore because it feels game-breaking.

As the title says, unresponsive pallets.

I have MANY, many, many, many many clips of be being PERFECTLY within the middle of a pallet, within reach--and the button to throw pallet just DOESNT APPEAR. I've even tested this by going up to a pallet out of chase, and just kind of walking around it until I see the pallet button pop up and its weirdly a LOT harder than I think it should be. Like the hitbox of where my guy, Jeff, has to be for it to spawn feels insanely small. I play pretty blended, and when I'm killer I see survivors crouched down camping a pallet and they're able to pull it down from that position. When I try to do this, out of chase ofc, the button doesn't spawn. I have to stand up, walk back and further, go into the pallet, and THEN pop there it is. It makes 90% of my defense as a survivor completely invalid. Even when the pallet drop button does appear, I'll hit the space bar--nothing. Hit it again--nothing. HIT IT AGAIN---aaaaand the killer hit me. Granted this is a span within like 1 second as im mid-chase, so from when I reach the pallet, go through it, pass it--my character had the command to throw pallet 3 times. Didn't throw it.

Like IDK what to do at this point. It's so infuriating. Like I can stomach SO MUCH but taking away pallets, my ONE agro/defense against a killer is too much. Dont tell me to try flashlight saves, Idontwannatalkaboutit.

Is there something fatally simple I'm missing here?

This sounds like a high ping/packet loss issue.

Do you notice any yellow/red icons up your character hud portrait when this happens?

Hmm, I'm honestly not sure. I'll have to take a closer look in my next few matches. I'll watch some of my gameplay tapes as well.

So I have this issue a LOT. No idea what causes it. The prompt just doesn't appear. It's SUPER frustrating. I don't mind being outplayed UNLESS it's by the tech I am using. I haave noticed the better your ping, the more you get robbed of things as the DBD servers APPEAR to prioritize bad ping over good ping. Dunno if it's true but it FEELS that way constantly.

Sounds like it could be a ping issue. Where on your screen your at the pallet but the servers haven't got that info yet and think you're still in front of it

Other then that i do know pallets respond much smoother if you stop running. Releasing the sprint button and then press space

Pallets were stealth nerfed and they are definitely unresponsive now. I think a developer on twitter mentioned they were "reworking a minor system" in order to increase everyone's frames by a few frames. Whether this was intentional or not, who knows, but by track record, usually survivors are on the losing end of any bug.

EDIT: I have been noticing this a lot more now more than ever. It has become such an issue to where I logged on the forums to search for a confirmed bug. There is a massive delay it seems regarding pallets. PING is not an issue, this is a valid problem that was never present prior.
