Would a perk that hides killer instinct be OP?
I mean survivors have Distortion which hides the aura of the survivor but would a perk that hides you from killer instinct be op probably work the same way as Distortion a few stacks you have to do something to gain those stacks back but would it be OP?

Made a similar suggestion myself a little while ago.
Tbh totally hiding killer instinct would be OP. I reckon if they add a perk that messes with KI, then it should be an information perk. Like you get a noise/visual notification when you are revealed by killer instinct.

Its too late to add a counter to KI because of Pinhead!
I personally don't think KI needs a counter mainly because outside of Legion and Dredge(sorta) it's more of a immersion mechanic.
Getting proc'd with KI from Ghostface feels like it's suppose to make him get upset about being broke out of stealth and to go get revenge
Artist KI really feels like its supposed to shame you for barley missing your crows, but encorage you to finish the hunt depending on the situatuion
Hell RE killers KI feels like it's suppose to upset you over the fact that survivor's are healing.
While KI can be used for tracking, it feels like a killer immersion mechanic that suppose to make or brake the play

i don't think it would be healthy for a perk to heavily counter a few killers while doing nothing to others.

It would only work if a perk should show if you are detected by KI or Aura read. And that's it

Yes because the entire point of KI is that it can't be directly countered. KI is used solely for certain killers; there are zero killer perks that utilize it (and that's how it should be). It's a way of providing information to certain killers as part of their power and having a hard counter to it would hinder certain killers' powers far too much, especially Legion's.
The only killer that has survivor aura reading in their basekit is Trapper (when a survivor steps in a trap) and tbh even that should probably be replaced with KI instead.

The point of killer instinct is to be a reveal mechanic that can't be blocked by anything. Creating something that gives immunity to it would just make it a different form of aura reading instead. Currently, I like it's current role as unstoppable info better.

That'd be a nerf, since he already gets a notif bubble. Changing it to KI will just make it lose value on potentially eating distortion stacks.

It would be like old Sabo against Trapper. It would be more or less useless in most scenario's but extremely strong against those specific few killers.

There was a thread about buffing distortion the other week, Peanits said it's not going to happen. KI is powers only and not going to be countered.

Because it goes against the reason KI exists at all, not to mention it'd be a completely useless perk against any killer that doesn't utilize the mechanic.
Ngl I forgot that they removed Distortion disabling itself while you're in a trap, that used to not matter because it didn't work if you were trapped.

Devs dont want to add it because KI is a killer power specific than perks.

Killer Instinct is from Killer Powers only and bHVR is not into making Perks that destroy Killers Powers.
Imagine playing Legion and 4 players have that perk you want. Its just a bad idea.

In fairness if you play distortion vs. A trapper you're gonna be at max stacks constantly anyway.

I don't think it would be OP, but the problem is that it would effectively counter a few killers that are actually pretty bad as it is. Could you imagine playing as legion and running into a full team using that? It would be terrible.
