How does The Remnant reduce Nightfall?

Per the power description, "Once the Nightfall Meter is full, Nightfall begins automatically, forcing Survivors to navigate in near-total darkness.

Nightfall ends after 60 seconds.

Survivors destroying the Remnant will reduce that time."


But after testing in a custom having a partner run through all remnants, nightfall was still 60 seconds. Are we misunderstanding the power?

    As a Dredge main even I do not know the answer to this.

    Walking through the remnant while the Dredge player is teleporting about, destroys the remnant. It's actual effect I do not know.

    I’m going to laugh if that text is either A: Ancient runes from when bhvr was testing older versions of Dredge or B: Dredge is bugged and we are just now learning about it
