I'm an been playing this game for about 2 or 3 months now. I really like this game a lot. Either being the Killer or Survivor, it's one of my personal favorites. Been playing it none stop to be honest.
Rage Quitters/Disconnections
I don't know if this is the right way to go about on offer an suggestion. But worth an shot right? Well, about this month alone in game, when playing Survivor or Killer. 2 out of 4 survivors would rage quit each time when the killer gets them down the first time and this happen today to be an matter of fact back to back. I know you already have an system when they do they lose the bloodpoints and pips but that isn't working all in the same because they quit and go back in and play and get those points/pips back fast. I suggest an time limit for disconnect/rage quitting. Starts at 3 or 5 mins suspended/ban then adds on more each time they do it to 24 hour ban or more if necessary. Now I know in some cases the internet isn't the greatest in some areas but it shouldn't happen back to back like that. Thought I could suggest something because It's getting really annoying and frustrating dealing with these. I see a lot more potential in this. Can't wait to see what coming next on the future patches.

Good way to reduce the playerbase.

Killers will rage quit Bc they aren’t winning, they usually cherry pick their lobbies anyways.
survivors do the same but don’t have that option to see what they are in for in the slightest so will dc in match if the killer has salted them in some way.
It’s a response.2 -
It is a symptom of a problem. In summary there are elements of the game that both sides find not worthy of spending that amount of time in a match.
It's a matter of whether both sides are having fun. Why waste time letting the other side farm you when it's not a fun match (regardless of winning or losing).
As a killer, you can filter your survivors before the game starts, and dc if it does not turn out the way you expected it to.
As a survivor you can only decide after the game has started.2 -
Perhaps someday you will come to embrace the DC, myself used to find it annoying, but after a time you realie that they DC because you're better than them. Getting DC's at high ranks is really satisfying if you ask me. Just yesterday I had a P3 Dwight, DS user with insta heal DC the second I downed him with LF, not even doing a Bubba's Basement build; when I checked his profile his bio was "King of DC's" I found the irony in that to be amazing.

They are going to address the disconnects after the dedicated servers are sorted.
Which is fine by me. Sometimes the ping looks fine in the lobby but as a survivor you end up blinking around the map like the nurse anyway. Nothing you can do in those games but leave. You cant play when you're getting teleported around every few seconds.

To be honest, I don't blame people from disconnecting against SWF groups.
I was being chased by the killer after about 20 seconds from the start in a SWF game. I randomly ran past his Hex Ruin in the most ridiculous of places (behind a flaming barrel in a corner of the map no one would normally visit), told my friend over the mic where it was whilst I ran the killer away from it. He cleansed it. The killer disconnected immediately knowing that I had obviously just told my friend where it was as there was no way anyone would have just stumbled across it.
I've always known that SWF from a killers perspective sucks. But today highlighted that further. Voice comms is just ridiculously overpowered, it has the effect of giving survivors at least 5 extra perks each and definitely should not be allowed in 'ranked play'.
So I kind of expect people to DC against SWF lobbies. As a killer I'll always stick them out and do my best. But when you're being tea-bagged, hook swarmed, flash lighted and verbally abused post game by SWF groups - I can understand why people do it.
