Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Question against nemesis

Should survivors try and contaminate themselves in order to delay nemesis from leveling up but in trade giving him already a 2 shot chase?

Which route is the most effective or is it just a dumb idea to do this?

You're giving Nemesis an easier chase by getting infected by a zombie. 2 tentacle hits instead of 3. It's better to always get hit by Nemesis

As a nemi player it's very annoying when survivors get infected by zombies. I play an M1 nemisis build so my whip is mainly there to either get free hits over windows or to break pallets very rarely will I use the whip In chase as it's very easy to dodge if survivor is paying attention

So from a killer point of view yes I would say it's better to deny the nemi his tier 2 and treat the whip like a long range m1 attack

It depends when in the match and how good you are compared to the killer. At the start you really want to delay t2 but if you go down quick to whip hits then its not worth infecting yourself with the zobis. Once he reaches t2 then no it's not really worth self infecting period.
