Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Background Player

Should the perk work if you are picked up and break free of the killers grasp as well? This would mean if you are flashlight saved, wiggle free, pallet saved, or DS in the time frame then you are also given the speed boost. Would this be to strong or a nice buff?

    Might be too powerful.

We could also let Smash Hit work with DS, I think that would be really nice.

Sure its a strong synergy, but Synergy that works against tunneling is okay in my book.

Are you saying the person who is being picked up has the speed boost?

Honestly wouldn’t hate this as a separate perk, like “when you flashlight save/pallet save someone they gain a speed boost” blah blah. Though I can see why it could be paired it with Background player, I think it could be too frustrating for killer players against an organised team

I feel we could create a whole new exhaustion perk for that because I had the same idea too. whenever you break from the killers grasp by any means then you gain a 150% speed boost for 4 seconds. the reason being 4 seconds is because it takes one second to get off the killers shoulder. So yeah, make it a new exhaustion perk in the future and leave background player to it's unique way of working

    Honestly it could.

Might be too powerful, but doing a separate perk for it would be too situational and therefore trash 90% of the time.

Then they would have to rename the perk Foreground player
