Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Devs: Why would you nerf multiple ways of healing all at the same time?

Why not just start with a medkit nerf and see how that goes first? Nerfing circle of healing and regular altruistic healing speeds on top of medkits and medkit add-ons? Have you considered what that’s gonna be like for players going against a killer like legion?

I get that you’re listening to feedback on here and that’s great but it seems like you never try to implement things in steps to try it out first. Just taking a massive sledgehammer to every nerf and overdoing it appears to be the way.

Didnt you just see this with the announcement to nerf eruption and then going back on some of it because of how extreme that was? Also how is this helping to bridge the gap between solo and swf by nerfing individual healing abilities into the ground?

Easier to overnerf then buff accordingly if needed

You realize that CoH now takes only a little bit faster than old self care took right? And people memed at self care users because it was bad. But CoH probably takes even longer because you have to set it up and the killer can remove it?

The main use of CoH is the fact that you can heal each other fast, and it gives you a known location (even in solo queue) to meet up to heal each other.

I’ve never had issues with setting up a boon or having killer remove it. That’s negligible compared to the nerf it just took. And again, this just wedges a gap between solo and swf again after they just started to close that gap.

So now you go to a boon and stand there and wait for a teammate to get off a gen and come heal you? Or wait for them to stop hiding in a locker and urban evasioning around the entire edge of the map to come help? That’s assuming the killer hasn’t found you by then.

Personally, I would have preferred a solution where the totem get a cooldown, or a strong increase in the time to bless the totem after the killer has snuffed it.

Personally, I find the proposed changes to killer and survivor bad and poorly thought out.

It’s not just for friends to come heal you, you can heal yourself. Come on don’t make it sound worse. The COH if for when you don’t have a medkit and can’t depend on your friends (solo and swf) and yes it takes longer cause the killer destroys it and you have to do it again but also the killer now knows where the boon is because destroyed it once. So why nerf it when the killer has an advantage to it. You hear the boon and you all go there, you are there and the killer is too! I say it’s a plus for both sides of the game which makes no sense is nerfing it. So yeah why don’t you just get rid of it all together than nerfing it.

You know there's healing perks other than Circle of Healing, maybe try them out sometime.

Because these are two completely different forms of healing, both of which were OP. If you nerfed one people would just flood to the other method anyway. Best action is to nerf both now, watch the outcome, and act accordingly.

It’s actually not, but go off. Nerfing base healing speeds, nerfing items used to heal plus their add ons and nerfing a major perk used to heal is overkill. This is on par or worse than their initial eruption nerf. Just because something needs a nerf doesn’t mean you nerf every aspect of it into the ground. That’s exactly why they reversed course on some of the eruption nerf because it was too much and was gonna make the entire perk worthless. This is basically the same with circle of healing and then some.

    This is the BHVR way.

Healing of all sorts required a nerf long time ago. At least some hit-and-run playstyle will gain some sense back.

Well because of the gen regression perk nerfs for the killers. Think of gen regressions as "healing" for killers since it's pretty much that for the way the game is constructed. So of course then survivor healing also needs some nerfs

I don’t agree with all the gen regression nerfs either.

No it didn’t. Circle of healing sure. But nerfing every aspect of healing was not needed and especially not all at once.

You arent really supposed to heal against legion... I always find it silly since in 2 seconds you are in mending again.

You waste a lot of time healing and then mending and healing again. Learn to play injured. Its not as scary as it sounds. Some killers like plague and legion being injured is your best shot.

You are survivor biased. You don't realize that the killer can do nothing if the totem that is blessed is place in out of the way spot. Not only is self caring busted, but 24 second self care for the entire team regardless of the start up time is busted.

"you never try to implement in steps"

What? Are you new to game changes? The vast majority of changes to this game take place in tiny percentages. Just look at the add on pass they did!
