Imagine buffing the Nurse

Okay, I got it, you wanted to remove special interactions with flashlights. It didn't happen a lot against Nurse, sure, but still, this removes one of the few tools against the strongest killer in the game. Unlike Wraith, the Nurse's lightburn wasn't a problem.

And the Hag is being buffed against flashlights... but nerfed against anyone without a flashlight as her traps gain a more Trapper-like counter. I'm heartbroken, but let's see how long does it really take to wipe out the traps.

I NEVER saw anybody try and burn Nurse. You cannot hardly call this a buff.

Youre right, but whats a bit more common is shining a light on her to prevent her from blinking

Im pretty sure removing Lightburn will also remove that as well

You do realize that this feature doesn't even work half the time, even then with it being gone it's not really a buff cause in general play very few people seriously try to light-burn a Nurse as it is just very difficult to do so. You only really see this kind of attempt in comp and I highly doubt you are a comp player.

Yes, it is a shame to lose out on specific interactions like this, but at the end of the day, it's a dated mechanic with very few people actually knowing about it in the first place nevertheless attempting it. If Nurse becomes too strong they will nerf her in other ways, but I generally win most of my matches against Nurses these days so I doubt they are really overperforming. There is a reason why in competitive blight is played more because blight is just way more consistent.

At the end of the day, this change will not do anything to you and will not affect you unless you are a competitive player even then Nurse isn't seen as often as other killers, and even then how many times do you bring a flashlight to get light burns? I would understand if this was something built into her kit to counter her, but it was a gimmick that they added in a long time ago to try to reduce her strength which was rarely used and rarely seen against her.

This will come and pass just like the hysteria from the Jenner addon that supposedly buffed her. Half the time people make these OMG you buffed this killer, they make this claim that this will ultimately change everything, but at the end of the day it doesn't really change anything and gets forgotten a week after it goes live. Like the OMGG 5 blink Nurse back omg omg buffed Nurse??? It's just annoying at this point lol.

I mean personally I think this is fine as lightburn was a dumb mechanic and being able to bring specific items to counter a specific killers shouldn't be in the game. However I also agree that "buffing" strong killers is a bad idea and that there should be a trade off for the removal of lightburn in the form of a Nurse nerf as well as a range requirement on Hags traps when in close proximity of a hooked survivor.
