The final nail in the coffin for Solo queue players.
I'll be literally going from only seeing the exit gates open 1-2 times for every 10 matches to probably never.
This is how you kill a game, I don't know who is making the final decisions up at BHVR but they definitely don't care about the survivor experience at all. It's almost comical how one sided this new patch is.
I'm uninstalling and never looking back, everyone said BHVR would be the one responsible for killing the game in the end, and here we are, we've reached that point.

I’m uninstalling too.

Alright bye

Anyways, y'all want to talk about favorite builds?
2 -
Yeah.
This update pretty much decimates Solo Q.

I run this dumb pseudo hex build on Freddy, it's a really weird build and it's kinda bad but I use it anyways because I get way more value out of it then you'd think. I use hex thrill of the hunt, hex face the darkness, pop goes the weasel, and jolt.
I run Nancy's masterpiece and z block as the addon's, honestly this build works surprisingly well for how dumb it is.

How so? I can run bond, We'll make it, Botany Knowledge, and OTR and have a easier time next patch compared to this one. Gen regression perks are trash and WMI+BT make the healing changes a joke. Throw in the best soloq info perk bond which is buffed again next patch and soloq survivor looks to be big chillin.
2 -
If you came to me for healing I would not heal you. I’d point to a gen to tell you to go do that. Because even with your full build dedicated to healing, it’s still more efficient for survivors to work on gens than worry about healing.

It’s funny. They hurt solo que with the killer buffs, then help them out a little with the HUD updates, only to screw them over again with healing changes. Shame. For every step forward BHVR takes, they end up taking two backwards.
13 -
Yea except that is factually wrong. Botany completely counters the healing changes alone. 40 seconds to gen efficiency vs having another health state in chase is 100% worse. That is also assuming the killer is running mangled which I would expect them to. BT is literally one of the best survivor perk next patch. 20 seconds of efficiency staved of for every heal. Prove was only 14 and was only 1-2 times per match.

We shall see
While healing has taken a major hit, a lot of the gen regression perks that make getting gens done are also getting hammered. Whether that is enough to balance the two out or not, we shall see.
But as I've said in the other threads, survivors will figure out how to adapt. Personally I already run Bond so I've already quasi-adapted to the change.

If with "one sided patch" you mean premades you are right then.

Inner Healing is still there? I mean why would it be bad? You still rush gens to get out like before. With all gen info we have now solo is fine. And killers lost a lot of gen defence. It's all good.

Healing needed to be changed. It was a joke that survivors could troll and Clown in front of the killer then go heal in 5 seconds an absurd amount of times
1 -
Solo survs weren't more nor less "hurt" by the killer buffs than SWF ones.
2 -
losing a health state is going to be more than a minor annoyance that can be fixed in 5 seconds, boo hoo
3 -
I exclusively play SoloQ survivor and I think I'll be fine. It'll be harder before, probably, but I'll adapt. Do I lose a lot? Yeah, but I try not to stress over it. That's just what happens when you play a team elimination game: sometimes you get eliminated.

I was using Built to Last + Botanic on SoloQ, but it felt like an overkill, as people always were healthy (because of boons and stuff). At least now healing focused builds can have its place.
I hope they buff SoloQ with more info, like make us able to see other people perks in the "Esc" screen, and things like these.

most good reggression perks got obliterated, this isnt one-sided. Although i do agree that for altruistic healing 24s is ridicoulus.
Healing someone else should take 16s, and only self heal should take more time, which was the frustrating bit for killers. as long as they add that little caviat i think it'll be fine?

With increased healing time to this degree, it's just as efficient for survivors to heal each other as it is to do a gen.
If you and I are both injured, it takes 48 seconds, with no other factors or perks, to heal up to full. 60 seconds with just sloppy butcher or any other mangled effect.
But we could work on a gen together, inefficiently with no perks, for 53 seconds.
Not to mention that your health state becomes immensely more valuable. Avoiding damage is critical. Anyone who realizes that will pre drop pallets like their life depends on it.
The game will be entirely gen rushing by survivors, so killers will tunnel and camp like crazy to catch up. If a survivor does go on a hook, you're either getting camped or tunneled out of the game.
Does this sound familiar? It's competitive DBD. If you think, for a second, that a random team of solo q players will do well in a competitive environment, you're completely delusional.

No, Botany Knowledge will not negate the healing time increases. If you wanted to make that point you’d have had better luck presenting Inner Healing as an alternative. And you’d still be wrong. Lol.

"don't care about the survivor experience at all. It's almost comical how one sided this new patch is?"
jeez the entitlment is real, it's almost disgusting. please don't come back and play easier game, like really please.
both killer and survivor got butchered and you went on like only survivor is affected.
soloq got a lots of qol changes like status info, basekit borrowed time, visual terror radius and you act like it never happened.
the only thing i disagree is the default speed of healing, all the other nerf for survivor is well deserved
3 -
It takes 16 seconds for healing now. In the next patch it takes 24 seconds to heal. 16x1.5=24. You give up one perk slot to remove the healing increase.
0 -
I think it'll actually be 18 seconds with the +50% speed. It shaves off a quarter of the time, not half. Still, it almost negates it.
0 -
Stop spreading false information please. Killers can still do fine just switching their perks. Corrupt, Lethal, Sloppy, Deadlock are still very very good perks.
If killers really relied on wallking around and kicking gens with eruption, CoB, overcharge then it was definetely a skill issue.
4 -
16 seconds you're healing at 1.5 charges a second which would be 16x1.5=24 charges. 24 seconds to heal means 1c a second for 24 seconds which is 24 charges required to heal. Botany just straight up removes the nerf entirely.

Considering the other perks got butchered in 6.1 and Pain Res is also getting slaughtered, people did in fact “rely” on those perks cause there was virtually nothing else to run.
1 -
The topic starter is right. In games with random players you literally see an open gate in one game out of 5.
That's the reason why 80% of survivor games I play with friends who all have several thousands hours in this game.
The few games in Solo Q I play with Sole Survivor, Wakeup, Clairevoyance meta and this build is validated as necessary in almost all matches.
4 -
Corrupt is still best killer perk in the game. Deadlock is still working fine. Sloppy will be overpowered with new update.
I play "weak" killers mostly (Bubba, Doctor, Demogorgon, Wesker, Knight) and I had no problems to 4k most of my matches without kicking gens half of the time.
2 -
Corrupt and Deadlock aren’t good enough. They’re best for tunneling and camping play styles, playing for hooks isn’t possible with just those two.
0 -
Would you believe me if I said I use Insidious in my builds and get excited when I get value out of it every once in a while?
0 -
Okay, then I guess my 80% 4k rate with those perks is not real.
Or I should aim higher. My goal should be 95%.
2 -
Solo queue don't gen rush. I've played solo for over 2 years and gen rushing isn't a thing in our games. If I'm matched with a 3man swf? Then sure. A solo team? Doesn't happen. There's a reason we make up the bulk of kills.
1 -
Oh I believe you. Trust me, I get super happy to earn Reactive Healing value
0 -
I have a survivor build I LOVE running cause it's effective. I use Reactive Healing and you can go many different routes depending on playstyle but because I like medkit endurance, I use Botany and Built to Last. I kid you not, Reactive procced twice and I healed in 2 seconds. Get you a decent medkit that has a fair amount of charges and healing speed and watch out.
(Hemorrhage and Plauge counter the build.)

Are we REALLY surprised? I mean they did nerf Billy after all
