Dead hard..
Killer mains you got what you wanted congratulations…
Can’t wait to see the next perk you blame for not getting 4ks consistently/Wins. Wonder what you're gonna go after next… Maybe lithe Oh No it’s definitely gonna be Sb. Deadhard was fine and easily counterable but what the survivors say don’t matter because this game is killer sided!!!

Dead hard was op this game is more survivor sided

I'm coming after your Technician!
Didn't see that one coming, did ya?!
18 -
They also nerfed healing, medkits and boon. Pretty much nothing is left to nerf.

Survivor mains you got what you wanted.
Gen kick meta is gutted. Can't wait to see the next perk you blame for not getting 4e's every game. This patch is proportionally close in power loss for each side.
61 -
What did it cost?
Pain Resonance, Call of Brine, and Overcharge.
35 -
And Hillbilly.
7 -
Uh what CoH on survivor side? I guess the entirety of killer side is dlc

People have always claimed that SB would be the next meta after DH and that killer mains would course their own words, because "SB is actually stronger then DH!!!1", but frankly, I don't see it. In the short, wounderful period right after 6.1, when DH disappeared with a bang, we had a fun time of many experiments. People used all kind of builds, tried out old, rusted and crusted perks, just to see if they could fiddle around with them and, yes, peeps used ALL kind of exhaustion perks.
During this time SB did't rear its ugly head as the bringer of the apocalypse, because getting value out of sprintburst, besides quickly bursting away from a gen that you had 30s time to regain your exhaustion, its not that easy to use, Lithe is much more plug and play, and maintaining a 99% SB is the sort of high skill play that you see very, very rarely.
The thing is this: even if everyone would be running SB, Fixation and Vigilance, this would still be far, far, faaaaaaar less aggrevating and obnoxious then DH, because its the nature of the perk to be front loaded, ie all its power is spend at the start of a chase, so the killer can evaluate if its worth pursuing that survivor or not, its not a nasty surprise 45-60s into a chase, literally taking away all your progress in the 7 frames before you would reap your benefits. And a survivor cornered can't suddenly pull a SB out of their behind and get a shot at sprinting away EVERY SINGLE TIME (at least unless they 99% it for the whole chase), nor do you have to waste time and play stupid mindgames in the open EVERY SINGLE TIME with EVERY SINGLE SURVIVOR or risk an embarressing blunder.
So call doom and gloom and the SB apocalypse all you want, it won't be happening. Oh there will of course be a few lonely lost souls who will cry for a nerf, thats just a givin with practically everything, but you won't be seeing 40+ threads all lamenting the same unfun playstyle that DH promoted, I guranteed it! And if it happens, please quote me and I will eat my words.

Everything. But I would do it again, without a second thought.

- Dh needed to be nerfed like 4yrs ago so this is the perk getting what it rightfully deserved
- Outside of what I said for No.1 survivors have nobody to blame but themselves.
BHVR themselves have shown and told us that they were keeping a close eye out on "The Meta" and what did we do AS A COMMUNITY continue to use meta perks knowing damn well this was gonna happen.
Like I'm upset about the C.O.B and OC nerfs (needed slight nerfs but not this harsh) but hey, as a community we all brought this on ourselves.

I'd rather get outplayed by head on / lithe / SB / overcome / smash hit than to be screwed by dh,
atleast it takes more skill to use those perks right than just pressing E to extend a chase,

Dead Hard was a strong perk but honestly i don't get all the fuzz about it. Just learn not to instantly swing and be patient. There are some situations near pallets where the timing is very strict, but even that is totally possible. Dead Hard could be annoying but most of the time when i swung into it, it was just me being impatient. Killer mains just want to get feed their easy wins. Since i play solo surv most of the time i know that this role is much harder nowadays.

U realise that the killers arent at fault for this right? Like BHV just decides these things based on statistics and not the complaints of the playerbase. If DH gets nerfed it only means that either it was used too much or some other data with it probably didnt come back like BHV wanted. Same with the other perks. It has nothing to do with what players said but only what numbers came back.
6 -
They always get what they want when they cry and complain about it long enough.
3 -
Isn't it then time for you to quit the game again?
And don't forget to make a dramatic thread here again please.
5 -
NOT Technician!! You stay away from that perk you evil monster😭
Jokes aside, can we please stop making every discussion post us vs them? Good killers still knew how to counter DH, and maybe it gets changed after the PTB. Because the way it's described now it doesn't deter any survivor from just straight-up hook farming their teammates just to get their DH, and the killer will just tunnel the unhooked because they know they don't have DH active, I honestly don't know how BHVR hasn't considered this... god forbid they do something about camping and tunneling 😅

I'd rather live in a world where the universe didn't revolve around Dead Hard.
4 -
Worth it.
Well, maybe not. Idk.

Already can see on EU servers that survivors testing out different builds without DH and COH.
3 -
You already do, it's called the real world :)

And agains't blight and spirit dh was needed too. But I agree I think they should just remove ability to vault or drop pallet after you use it and make the sprint burst bit smaller. Also it should show status who has it this in my opinion would be enough nerf. Because most annoying thing for me is to have to bait it out when someone does not have it. Maybe make limit that max 2 time use as well succesfully.
1 -
Most killer mains weren’t even asking for another DH nerf.
0 -
You say this under almost every thread I post… obsession much?
1 -
they filled the forums with nerf dh threads everyday…
1 -
Not my bbg Technician that I never actually ran once outside adept

I'm pissed cause I always said CoB was good before the Ruin gut. They probably only nerfed it because Skunk Merchant exists
2 -
I want to believe you but considering the fact people went after CoB was ew
0 -
Uh sure babes
1 -
why didn't ruin get a change like it not being a hex anymore.
1 -
Can't believe they nerfed a perk that barely ever worked and wasn't even good all because baby killers can't learn how to easily counter it!!! Wow!!!
4 -
Just waste time that you don't have much of. That's basically what you're saying. That's the issue people have with it. The fact they always have to assume DH is in play and they have to respect it or try to bait it our every time they chase and injure somebody. That's a ton of wasted time in a match due to just a POSSIBILITY that they may be running it. When a perk is able to affect a game when it hasn't even been confirmed to be in play yet (and some games no one has it, yet that killer ALWAYS loses time in most chases due to waiting it out or trying to bait jt), that's a problem. No perk should be so strong that it has an impact in every single game played, regardless if it's actually there or not.
And honestly... people crying about the sky falling and 'IT'S REALLY DEAD NOW' despite the last change made to it was a good healthy one and now this is another good healthy one. Oh no, you have to safely unhook someone. Oh no, if you don't get hit when you use it, you get to keep it instead of becoming exhausted. Oh no, it's still going to be one of the most popular perks guaranteed. One safe unhook. That's all you need. It's not an impossible task, people. It's part of the normal gameplay you already do. No need to pretend survivors never have anything good, like most survivor perks and maps and items haven't been insanely strong for years. It's about time that everyone in the match has to put in a little work instead of the majority just coasting on autopilot.

This post is truth. Never in 2016 through July 26 of 2017 did we hesistate when we could swing at a survivor. Those times appear to be over and good riddance.
DH was a perk that gave you a third health state in chase which gave the enemy team 3x that much time because DBD is a 4:1 game.
6 -
If Dead Hard was fine, why didnt bHVR find nothing wrong with it when we encouraged them to take a look at it?
7 -
Two out of nine is almost every? Damn.
1 -
I'm seeing pharmacy becoming meta in the near future, so, definitely getting ready to complain about it and have it nerfed
0 -
What are you talking about? Us survivor mains asked for:
✓ Basekit BT
✓ Eruption nerf
✓ Pop nerf
✓ Pain res nerf
✓ Nurse nerf
✓ Call nerf
✓ Jolt nerf
and the list goes on, can't wait to see what we'll be asking next...
See? It's both ways.
13 -
imagine making this post after survivors whined their way to near zero usable gen regression perks
3 -
Correction: whiffing your Dead Hard still exhausts you, but you can use it again when the Exhaustion wears off, just like always. It only truly deactivates once it successfully defends you from a hit, then you have to unhook another survivor again to reactivate it.
Dead Hard functions exactly like it does now. It just requires rescuing a survivor from a hook for each successful use.
Other than that, I agree with your post.

I agree, DH always sucked. That tight window to block a hit? Well, I mess it up most of the time! Bet you didn't think of that, now did you killer mains!
2 -
I play like 60% survivor and 40% killer and I'm happy DH got nerfed, they can even go through traps with it. When i play as killer the nr1 perk which always annoyed me was DH. CoH needed somekind of nerf aswell but skeptical on medkit changes, sloppy with thanaphobia is gonna be even more painful....
1 -
you cannot go through traps with dead hard.
1 -
I don't live in that world, I just earn a paycheck there.
1 -
How is this statement consistent with an over all 60-68% kill rate during last years?
1 -
Not even close. Killers can easily switch to corrupt, sloppy deadlocck.
Changing base healing speed is like changing base movement speed of killers to 105/110% instead of 110/115. Or like to make M1 cooldown to 4 seconds instead of 2.7.
1 -
It's funny since the opposite is right. You dont need any skill to use SB, Lithe or Balanced. Whereas DH requires some very accurate timing and guessing.
1 -
They didn't say anything about the healing speed which I disagree with. I was making fun of their rant about dh.
0 -
In it's current state it wasn't OP. Annoying sure but not OP.
0 -
Dead Hard is the only exhaustion perk that allows you to get outplayed at a tile, but undo it after the fact. Now people actually have to be good at judging distances and truly outplaying the killer to get to safety instead of just pressing one button on time near a pallet whenever they miscalculate.
It isn't something to lament that DbD is finally going to feel more like a game and less like a weird horror charade....Unless you were never really interested in having a fair game in the first place, which seems to be the case to a rather disturbing degree.
6 -
The skill needed for DH were about as equal to the skill needed to play Nurse. Yes, when trying both for the first time, you will mess up horrible and probably believe the tall tales about a skill ceiling as high as he sky, but throw in two evenings of giving it an honest try and you will be getting the hang of it.
2 -
It doesn't even matter whether it's op or not, the problem was if it's used lot more than other perks lol.
