Hit and run gameplay is the most boring

DBD is trying to promote hit and run gameplay. Well have fun with a hag guarding her 3 gen or a wraith hitting and running then having to heal before you work on a gen again. The wraith games are going to be awful if this change goes through.

If you don't hit and run that doesn't mean you have to tunnel. For example see pretty much every single game lol

Normal chases. Your example is great. Have you seen me say anything about the other metas being boring? A normal chase meta is fine. Hit and run is boring aka why people have always hated legion.

OK so apparently if you don't hit and run (which is done by about 3 or so killers) that means the only other option is tunneling. Great logic guys. So whenever you play a non hit and run killer, lets say you play against a wesker. You 100% are getting tunneled because he doesn't do hit and run tactics. Yes that is correct you guys clearly play the game.

    I agree.

Personally, i really do think the game goes too fast, and that gens are "too fast" in the sense that it takes too long to chase and down a survivor for how much time is spent on gens. I mean in general, obviously, nurse/blight play by different rules, but i don't really even think about them, i think you shouldn't even include them in discussions.

But i don't think the solution to that problem is to simply, "make killers stronger" or to "make gens longer" It is more nuanced than that. Because that just hurts solo queue/low skill survivors

There is reason that killers like wesker are seen as the best designed killer. Wesker is good because his power is decent at traversing the map, its decent in chase (but not heavily oppressive) and he creates a situation where you HAVE to get off gens in order to do some other thing, or you are going to be severely penalized.

The solution is to create more ways for killers to get survivors off of gens. This is actually why i think the ruin+undying meta was so healthy, because it forced survivors to do totems and get off gens, even for a little bit, slowing the game down a bit, and did so in a way that actually required the killer to play well.

This is why i like this healing change. What i suspect will end up happening, is they'll keep the nerf for self-healing ,but revert it for altrusitic healing, or they'll rework mangled to no longer reduce healing speeds and they'll make it do something else. (maybe move the regression effect off of hemo and to mangled)

For so long we've heard that killers had to know when to leave a chase instead of overcommitting. Now you are literally complaining about killers no longer getting punished for leaving a chase. What exactly is it that killers are supposed to do?!

This hit and run game play they're promoting will be a much healthier meta for the game and one I look forward to.

Hit and run gameplay probably won’t even take off when medkits are still plenty effective.

The medkits that are sure-fired to grant only one heal per game?

Very true, despite how OP i thought COH was, i was very happy that the perk single handedly killed off hit and run

These posts on the forum make me think that I'm everyone's favorite killer when I'm doing my Switch Daily Rituals. I stand there, wait for survivors to come up and take my pounce or hatchet hit or whatever, and the low fps means I can't track well enough to chase them afterwards so I don't bother trying: survivors can heal at their leisure, no one gets tunneled or camped on the hook 'cause no one gets hooked, and I don't get in the way of gens getting done at all.

I hope you guys are hitting the thumbs up button after those matches. (Also, I wish you guys would come up and get hit more often so it wouldn't take me multiple matches, but whatever, they're your Altruism points.)

Note: This post is only sort of sarcasm, that really is how I have to accomplish killer Daily Rituals on Switch. And honestly, I can't tell anymore if this is what some survivors players want or not. Is it what you want? Are these your favorite matches to get?

    Exactly.

Nerfing everything is a good thing. Everything got to powerful over time.

But you are kind of implying that same logic, by saying that we will be in a pure hit and run meta because of these changes. At least that's how it sounds. These changes will push this game more into hit and run territory, but that doesn't mean it's only going to be that. But ideally DBD should be more about hit and run, applying pressure, and less about just camping and tunneling. Which is what a healing nerf will accomplish. Or at least if camping also gets nerfed, which I hope will happen as well.

When it comes to Wraith, it is actually possible he might need a nerf, he will benefit from these changes more than any other killer. That is if BHVR does settle for 24 second heals, and doesn't go down to 20 seconds, which is what I am expecting. But that's something that can be judged after these changes have been tested.

I think the one killer that worries me the most is Oni. While generally one of the fairest killers in my opinion, survivors being injured for longer might make him too strong.

They can grant two, which is enough to hamper killer’s ability to “slow down” the game by hitting and running.

Bold of you to assume killers won’t foil that guaranteed one-heal-per-match by running Franklin’s. Bold.

Don't worry, because hit and run will still be dead if the altruistic healing buffs get reverted. There's zero reason to hit and run if SWFs can just bypass the healing nerfs, by using their voice comms to coordinate altruistic healing. Killers would be better off just hard tunneling people like they do now.

IIRC the patch notes said its impossible for med-kits to heal more than once in a trial.

Huh? hit and run is not related to 3 genning at all, 3 genning has been nerfed this patch.

Have you even read the patch notes?

Medkits will be able to heal up a maximum of twice....

Hit and run is the most fun. It's why I like playing demo. You careen around the map ambushing survs from the bushes, lets you pressure lots of gens, and survs never know where you're gonna come from. Proper horror movie stuff.

Hit and run isn’t why Legion is hated.

Legion is hated because they are mending simulator.

Bro...you literally read my mind. I was like "I thought tunneling/camping/zoning/chasing/hitting/slugging/kicking was already the most boring". Then I saw your list and laughed. Saved me the Carpel Tunnel. Bless you!!
