I was facing a Blight was rushing and swung on my screen he never hit but still somehow hit me as if he got pushed closer to me. But if I play killer I could up against a survivor and it doesn't count so who does hit validation favor the killer or survivor because I'm just drawing blanks at this point.

Usually, it favors the Killer I've found.

From my understanding It still uses the p2p style of code where the killers client claiming they hit you = you get hit. The only exceptions to this are pallet drops and dead hard. Those two use the server in the middle to make a determination.

I wish vaulting were also server sided , feels bad having the right timing for vaulting stuff BUT because the killer is a bit laggy or got the hit first on their screen at the last second , the survivor just sees a total mess of BS hit on their screen especially if the survivor has lower ping than the killer , and thats one of the reason am currently playing killer the most outside of my questionable solo q teammates.

It favours everyone except you, specifically you.

    This ^

I think it might also have to do with whether the players load into your lobby (with your ping) or you into theirs (with their ping), not 100% sure though.

It favors (mostly) the lower ping at pallets. It doesn't mean that buggy situations won't happen.

It's non-functional for anything else. The setpoint, whatever it is, is higher than the ping you'd get by vpn'ing to the opposite side of the world. It's basically there only to stop extreme lagswitching. If it hits on the killer screen, the hit is green lighted.

It favors bad ping over good ping I have found. So download some movies while playing I guess?
