DBD getting the same fate as Deathgarden come August 2023?
Remember that game?
The one where the "Killer" role dominated everyone and none of the "Survivor" role players participated legitimately?
Is Bhvr going for round 2? The fall of DBD will be much harder than 2 year old Dearthgarden.

Death garden was a whole different game and comparing them this way is useless
Sure survivor got a bunch of nerfs but so did killer. Gen kick meta is gone and PR is hurt a lot
All these changes will do is make the S tier killers much better while the M1βs stay relatively the same if not worse due to the meta adjustments

Weβve been saying DBD was dying for half a decade now.

People have been complaining about how survivor is so unplayable for years now and the game is doing fine.
It's hard to take these claims seriously when it's always a minority being reactionary to any change

Passive gen regression from perks =/= basekit healing.
2 -
! ! !
They grasp at strawmen & use unrealistic scenarios to justify every little thing.

Both sides are looking pretty pitiful ngl. Solo queβs canβt heal up as efficiently, and killers canβt defend gens as easily.

Uh no...
The only time I saw this was the exhaustion rework July 2018 (i was a baby DBDer) and then again in August 2022.
Every other time was people crying about end game, the Pig (which is now an official meme so GG KiLLaH MaiNz), etc.

2018 was 5 years ago. That's half a decade.

You mean a heartbeat that will have no effect on normal players but will only help the disabled?
5 -
You list a perk combo that will never be used in a real game and then cry about accessibility changes...real class act here.
There's nothing else to say but skill issue.

"Survivors are getting more buffs with information" except all it does it change the Terror Radius to be visual based, BHVR themselves even said that it functions entirely based on the Terror Radius and provides no competitive advantage.
All this does it help people with hearing impairments (such as myself) and makes it so I finally free up a perk slot and remove Spine Chill. Ive seen people say "this is a buff for Survivors since it frees up a perk slot" when in reality we've been forced to use Spine Chill for years because the game didnt have accessibility options, it's not like we had a choice in running the perk, we were basically forced to.

Tfw Shadownborn basekit or FOV sliders wonΒ΄t be a thing for those that get motion sickness because thatΒ΄s a comp advantage.

No need to get angry over basic arithmetic, I'm only trying to help.

Just to clarify, are you going to open the same thread every day now?

We know they aren't the same thing. But BHVR wants change game slowdown, where the slowdown moves from gen regression to basekit healing. That's the whole point of the meta shift, and it requires all basekit healing to be slowed down.

The devs allow cheaters.
They put the burden on reporters.
Of course this game will die lol.

Deathgarden had some other problems like trying to advertise an asym shooter to their dbd audience who may have never had fps experience and expecting it to work out.
That and buffing the most brain dead hunter, inquisitor.

There are plenty of abled listeners who will benefit from this feature.
I've a friend who jams out to drum and bass music while we play DBD. Half the reason they get caught out is because they can't hear the killer's terror radius. This update will allow him, and people like him, to continue jamming to music while playing DBD.
Additionally, I would prefer to play the game at a lower volume. The menu sounds (specifically the bloodweb) are agonizingly loud, with no option to lower it. Now I can lower the volume without the inconvenience of needing to remember to raise it once I'm in-game.
Generally, the sounds in DBD are of poor quality, and I rather be listening to anything but the game if I can do so without detriment to myself or my teammates

And tbh Spine Chill is pretty rare (at least in my games). I hardly ever see survivors run it in either role.

The point is that this addition doesn't give survivors any advantage that they don't already have.
CHOOSING to listen to music instead of game audio is handicapping yourself, and this change allows you to do that but STILL doesn't give you an advantage over people who just use the game audio.
So I don't see your point.
An unfair buff would be seeing the killer through walls, not giving players information they already have access to just in a different form.

My point was that their comment was blatantly false.
We don't know how many players deliberately handicap themselves when they play DBD. No one on these forums can definitively state whether or not this change will have any impact on the overall performance of survivors.
It doesn't matter if people have been CHOOSING to handicap themselves. The fact of the matter is that some people do, and the update will inevitably help those people perform at a higher level, despite the disadvantage they impose upon themselves.
When you consider the fact that some people feel Spine Chill is a MUST pick, for one reason or another, the physical heartbeat will give those survivors one more perk to play with.

You missed out on a lot then. On the old Steam forums they used to merge years of "The game is dying threads".

From what I heard it turned into quite the opposite where a single one of the runners could 1v1 the killer.

Uh yeah. Iβve been playing since 2017, and almost every time anything major happens in this game people claim it is going to kill the game.
Major times I can remember:
- When they adjusted pallet vacuum and double pallets
- The exhaustion changes
- Every single time Decisive got nerfed
- MoM release
- The very SUGGESTION of nerfing Self-Care made people threaten to quit
- Ruin rework
- The killer closing hatch
- Stranger Things removal
- That time when the player base dropped after the Resident Evil release
- Key and hatch rework
- Pinhead NFTs
- Boons
- VHS and Evil Dead are surely gonna kill this game!!!
- 6.1.0
- Knight and Skull Merchant
- Right now

Was that the gif of 20 stacks of Potential Energy, with Commodious toolbox with charges addon, with 3 survivors death with 27 stacks of Fast track.
And image it to multiplied by 4 survivors to prove the point of Gen is so fast?
2 -
not much far from the actual dbd anyway (only exception is nurse)

Fr real.
Once they turned individual lifes onto a pool the scavengers lost any motivation to do anything but rush collecting and depositing the blood.
Why go help the buddy if they can respawn 5 times anyways?

Yeah lol

You forgot the improved survivor animations π
0 -
well i mean DBD is in ruins it went from survivor sided to killer sided (my opinion)
However i never struggled with killer (even when the game was "super survivor sided") playing killer today is basically a guaranteed win... The only matches i lose are matches i troll (like during events hiding in snowmen and stuff like that) I ALMOST NEVER get actualy good survivors and a match i struggle with (yes i do lose some games but its still like a 90% winrate)

Sure seems like it. At the very least Killer queues are gonna be very long cuz who's gonna play survivor with this miserable state of survivor?

VHS shot itself in the foot so quickly, it's not even dunny
0 -
Oh true haha
Also canβt believe I forgot the time the made it so you could stun the killer anytime during the pick up animation and still get the rescue.
