Monthly reminder how extremely unfun depipping is
Thats all. Just remove depipping from regular gameplay and just leave it in for DCs. Maybe add a couple of pips needed to reach iri1, so that you need 130 good games vs theoretically 90 right now.

Depipping should've been removed the moment it changed from Ranks to Grades. They could make pipping up more difficult or require more pips to reach iri 1, I don't care, but I play DbD less because of depipping, it demotivates me because things like "trying harder" and "getting better" don't matter, depipping is out of my control most times. It's not worth trying to reach iri 1, so I'm just... not playing.

I would agree with that change. I’ve been saying that depippping is more often than not unfair because it happens due to circumstances outside of your control.
-Other survivors hook suiciding or DCing immediately making it impossible for you to play long enough to safety pip at least.
-Killer being AFK the entire match either just cuz, or in order to drop MMR so you can’t get any chase/evasion points or altruism points. Or killer DC.
-Killer finding you first and tunneling you out immediately at 5 gens or face calling you out at 5 gens.
Its not fair to lose pips that you earned because of how others play. I’ve been saying they should automatically allow safety pips for any DCs in match. However I’d be in favor of taking away depips but just making pips a bit harder. As long as you keep the pips you earned.

I don't mean to be that guy, but like... it's not that hard to reach Iri 1.
It's more a statement of how frequently you play than how good you are.
I would expect most people with at least 200hrs to have no trouble reaching Iri

This would cause any SWF having a bad game to have one member DC to game throw and then rescue the rest of the team's pips.

A lot of people care and want that monthly reward. if you don’t that’s fine but don’t patronize those that do and have an issue with how that system works.

I’ve never had an issue hitting IRI 1 because of how often I play except for the past two months. What happened the past two months? Constant survivor hook suicides and DCs at 4-5 gens, kilers DCing and/or being AFK and as I said, the tunneling out at 5 gens.
Its hard to pip and not depip in those scenarios.

i'm on your side that its meaningless but people like progress and have a goal. when they are denied their goal by things that are not in their control, then people complain.

It's ridiciously how much less stressful it is being killer when I'm not one pip away from reaching a new grade. Haddonfield offering? No need to doge anymore. Please BHVR, kill it like you killed SoloQ.

I have to agree. It’s so unfulfilling getting tunneled out of a match and then depipping. I shouldn’t be punished for the killer playing scummy.
