i have been with this game for 3 years I promise you this is different. this game is dead without survivors

Because the game is ment to be killing, not spread hooks. Just like survivors should "gen rush" not hide.
And your "the way killers play now" is almost like you blame players and not the game. Don't do it.

Unfortunately, because the game becomes more and more survivor sided the "higher up" you go, most killer players will eventually get to a point where getting someone out the game as soon as possible is not only the best way to win, but sometimes the only way to win.
Since the word tunneling is used rather loosely by survivors, this tactic will often be interpreted as such.
You want to stop "tunneling"? We need the carrot not the stick.
