What do you need to say in the end game chat to actually get banned?
Me and one of my friends encountered a noed camper toxic killer and someone from our team that escaped said "ez l2p cry more" in the chat to the killer. I mean, he deserved it but can't you get banned if the killer reports you if you are toxic in the chat? I am very curious.

You got to do some really nasty and crazy stuff to get behavior to care. When it comes to any punishment they are the most reluctant company I've seen.

Generic toxicity like that wont get you banned in basically any game.
Now throw in a slur or death threats into the mix, and thats a different story
12 -
Stuff like ###### and ####### will get on a watch list somewhere.
1 -
i think it need to be some threat to life words like "i am gonna find you and ....." someting like that.
0 -
No he didn't deserved it, this Survivor need to chill out.
9 -
I think slurs and death threats is about what it takes for an actual ban
8 -
I'd avoid slurs connected to sexuality and race. Violent threats should also be a no-go I imagine. Commenting on someone's mental capabilities seems to be fine. If someone pisses me off I wish them stepping on a lego. BHVR never banned me for that.
I honestly think there should be no post-game chat.

guess every german is on the watch list because you cant write anything in german without getting censored.
7 -
I'd just not bother fullstop. If someone tries to be rude in end-game chat the problem rests with them, not the other player. Besides, it shows they're weak of character.
1 -
You can be toxic all you want as long as you don't get very personal with death threats. In the same way, you can basically use any cheat you want, as long as you are not reported or do not make it obvious, nothing can happen to you. Here the game is very tolerant

Has anyone been documented getting banned for what they said in chat? I don't think I've heard of it ever happening.
1 -
Not even lol I've had a guy call me the n word and threaten to doxx me or come to my house n kill me then played with him again I think 3 separate occasions over the next month
2 -
Aight then let me rephrase that
"Now throw in a slur or death threats into the mix, and that should be a different story"

I escaped the hatch once after the rest of my team had died. In the post-game chat the Killer challenged me to a 1v1. I think he should have been banned for showing how little understanding he had of how this game works.

Something-ism.

Unless you say something incredibly over the line and send in video evidence, I don't think so. The reports themselves don't do anything without a support ticket being filed.

I've sworn twice and been warned twice. Not sure if I was reported by the survivorsbdespite them messaging me first 😅 or PS network can detect swear words in measages via a Bot.

I can tell you from experience it was the survs. There are toxic ppl in the community who want to try and flame first, and then report you once you say anything that is considered a violation of CoC. PS hands out CoC suspensions and bans like candy on Halloween. It's funny how people try to dish it out, but cry to mama cause they can't take it. Best just sending an "Lol" back these days.
🐽

I usually go full dry humour with sarcasm, but I was having an off day and wasn't taking any prisoners lol.
Genuinely though .... why start something and then get pi55y when the person responds back equally 😐

I can relate. Boggles my mind as well. 🤔

I've barely encountered any toxic post game chats on PC. Every now and again I get a salty survivor that moans about some imaginary excuse for getting outplayed, but overall I've had a pretty positive experience on PC since I started about 6 months ago.
Now I played on Xbox for like 2 years prior to this a can't say the same for console players. They're literally the dregs of society. The amount of abuse you get in private messages is pretty disgusting. That's probably the reason console players aren't allowed end game chat. Not sure what PlayStation players are like, but Xbox survivors are pathetic.

PlayStation players aren't that far off from Xbox it sounds like.

I have more then a few of those gotten thrown at me. As with all this rather private stuff, we don't get a follow up email from BHVR, and I couldn't care enough to actually write someones screen name down and check later, BUT I take the time to actually report real despicable people, because I hope that at least someone gets a slap on the wrist and reflects on their behaviour. Letting everything slide is never a healthy thing for a society; some might think that reporting others for "virtual words in a videa game" is petty, but how should this bullies learn otherwise, but by taking away their toys?

I'd enjoy an option to disable post game chat completely, rather than just hide it. I skip it almost every single game, but having it completely removed, ideally with a little icon on the scoreboard showing the other players that "This person can't see chat btw, so chill tf out and move on to your next game" would be nice.

You cant get banned for that, but ist rlly bad to do so. Thinks you get banned for are stuff that personal attacks the other player. Things like he/she should end there life or something

Unfortunately, as much as "ez" can be perceived as rude it is not enough for someone to get banned. I usually do not read the endgame chat for the very reason of avoiding such remarks. Threat or otherwise - it's "just" words you can avoid seeing. But when the gameplay itself is toxic that is a different matter. What I can suggest is to close the chat and just move on.

Ive told people to apologise to their families for being utter disappointments. Still haven't had a ban so i guess you can get away with that 🧐

I find this a rather sophisticated remark as opposed to the others I received or read. 😌

Cant say I've had the same experience on xbox. I usually gg in DMs at the end of every match and I have the odd salty survivor but most of the time ppl gg amd move on or have a nice chat.

Death threats and slurs are "bannable"
I've gotten some pretty nasty stuff...
As an example, someone called me a innapropriate name for a chinese person a week ago, and I just played against them yesterday. Someone also said to #### myself and "I will find you and ###### you". Played against them a few weeks after.
All because I used a "cheating" Wesker tech.
Please BHVR, actually ban these people.

It's not toxic to play killer, camp or to use NoED.
It is toxic to insult someone for playing a game however they want as long as they don't break the rules that have been set by the owners of the game.

"Toxicity" and "fun" became such strechted terms, esp. in DBD. At high MMR it's basically genrush vs. killrush, both sides playing their objectives as efficient as they can / need / whatever. I blame MMR for that, hate it or love it. That's why i don't think any playstyle or builds are toxic. Toxicity is all about INTENSIONS. Like quickswitching with your 4man, tbagging when you see the killer struggles, streamsniping, nodding killers camping / slugging. The more you play the better you'll be able to see the difference if someone wants to win or just wants to make the other side feel bad. Also the most toxicity comes in endgame chat.
Just a lil anecdote... I used to dogde players with "toxic" in their names, on both sides. Last night i played Pyramid Head without addons on farm and there was a Jake with "toxic" in his name. He was the only surv with no item and the last one to die as i tunneled pretty much everyone. And he just msgd me "ggs" and i did aswell. That's the difference.

The killer was not toxic. Camping and NOED are game functions that devs said are proper strategies for the killer to do their job.
The only toxic person here was that player who insulted the killer.
But make sure , and I tell you this from experience , this killer will now play even more "toxic" from now on after being treated like that in the chat.
The more toxic survivors get , the more vile the killers become. Tunneling , camping , 3gen , broken builds all become common. If survivors are gonna be rude , then who the hel* gives a dam* anymore. Play to win and have fun. You are the "killer" after all . They are not mean to be nice. Their purpose is to eliminate all players in every way possible. Its a survival game. All tools are on the table.

Sigma moment.

The community doesn't care about definitions, unfortunately. This is something I have realised in the last 2 years.
Tunnel / camp will always be triggers for insults. Same with constant crouching on the survivors' side. Somebody said I should consider it a dance instead of being offensive. Yeah, right. I don't like it. I learned to live with it.
2 -
Were they toxic for camping or for using noed?

For real, this is at least on some level sophisticated and not just an insult on the lowest level and can actually be laughed off and taken as a batch of pride.
But I have gotten enough people who wished me and my family the death by burning in our house or that my mom specifically gets cancer and the likes of that. One even wrote a lengthy tract on how my parents must be siblings for producing the likes of me, and believe me, their choice of words was much less sophisticated.
I reported all this people through the lengthy reporting feature, but I have no idea if any of these at least got a slap on the wrist. In the end I am not so petty that I want to see them punished, personally, BUT this kinda behaviour is clearly crossing the line and shouldn't go totally unchecked and scott free. This peeps might be normal, nice ones in real live, but if you get this unhinged in the spur of the moment, you should at least got to shown the mirror and have a stern talk down.

I assume they cannot confirm if they were banned due to data privacy.
Question: What about blocking? When blocking do you block the conversation with the blocked individual or you also never get in the same match with that person?
0 -
I don’t understand how someone repeatedly doing an action that implies they’re putting their genitalia in my face/mouth shouldn’t be considered toxic. I’ve learned to not let it affect my game play, but you best believe if I catch them out positioned, they will not escape.
0 -
Yeah, thats always the case with this kinda things and I don't care enough to look someones screenname up a month later or something, lol.
Ehm, blocking only disables the person from friending you etc. but you can still get thrown into a match with each other at random. Otherwise you could just block all the decent playes and only stomp babies.
0 -
Wait, that's what Tbagging means?
0 -
I thought so about the matchmaking but you are saying "etc." Can you elaborate? Do you still see their comments?
0 -
Yes. The male genitalia is the “t-bag” and they’re dunking it in your face/mouth as if they were dunking a tea bag in a cup of water.

Imagine being such a care bear that "ez l2p cry more" is something you can't handle on a video game.

Damn, Survivors Mains are really uneducated.
