What Character do you wish would be added but...
they can't fit into dbd due the game mechanics.
mine are Jurassic park 1 velociraptors and Godzilla
what are yours? im curious lol

Jaws. Let’s get some beach and ocean maps.

Weeping Angels.
They're very iconic, despite their non-horror origin, but their function would likely make them useless in DBD.
It could maaaaaybe be pulled off with some sort of light-dimming power, allowing the killer to sporadically render all survivors fully blind, but it'd be so hard to balance and it'd probably be ass to play against.

Alien
The Xenomorph, Everyone want it in this game but... The "power" of this creature seems to rely on the vent system... Or making a vent system in an open map like coldwind or like... 90% of the map from this game seems... Not possible? And if he create is own vent... It's more like Demopuppy..

tbh a doctor who chapter would be very cool!

ah yes a classic. that be fun tbh

yea i can see that. i havent seen those films in a while so idk what else they can do as a power besides stealth ambushes

Leprechaun is in the same situation as Chucky but especially with voicelines he’d be hilarious
Plus we could get Tupac as a survivor

Spoilers ahead for "The Cat Lady" and "The Magnus Archives"
A bit obscure, but I'd say a Entity-touched version of The Eye Of Adam from "The Cat Lady". A physically disabled person who spent time online convincing depressed people to kill themselves and succeeded, this "parasite" as he was called could have his abilities enhanced to maybe briefly control survivor movements, make them walk towards him or create mini nightmares for survivor.
However, he may have issues with mechanics such as vaulting (I believe he's confined to a wheelchair and almost fully paralysed) and carrying survivors, plus his story is perhaps too dark and may trigger things in others.
I'd also say The Distortion from "The Magnus Archives", which is an avatar of The Spiral deity. It's power could involve throwing people into pocket dimensions or warping the area to shift the structures of loops or items. However, this could be mechanically game-breaking and the Distortion itself is so crazy in appearance that it may even cause seizures.

Yoshikage Kira or Part 1 Dio.

This or Reaper Leviathan from Subnautica would be the most dope chapter imaginable.

Other Re bosses, like the giant mutated ones
2 -
Disagree.
You can have crawling on walls / ceilings, facehuggers, jumping, spewing acid ...
If you think vents are the only thing going for Xeno then your creativity must be super low.
2 -
Lorewise though, The Magnus Archive would fit really well into dbd's own lore since it's already been established that the black vale uses things like signals and horror podcasts among other things to transmit encrypted messages and information to one another about things such as the locations of bleeds and other supernatural stuff.

I guess Jaws and Jurassic Park Velociraptors because both are very iconic for the horror genre and would deserve a spot in the Hall of Fame of Horror (though mutated Velociraptors like Blue from the Jurassic World movies would kinda work right?)
also for me, Don’t Starve Together (Charlie as killer) - it would probably fit in game mechanics but DS isn’t a horror franchise per se (even though it got plenty of fitting elements - survival game, death, monsters, darkness..)

I wouldn't have though of vents as being an integral part of the Xenomorphs MO. They're used because they happen to be there, on the spaceships the movies are set on, but generally they're just a stealthy assassin archetype.
That said, I wouldn't want Alien to just be another Demogorgon. If they bring this to DBD, it would have to be something quite ingenious and bring something new to the game in order to pay off.
To me, the USP of Alien is it's lifecycle. That's what it's most revered for, it's well-thought-out insect-like development mechanisms that give it multiple forms of inciting terror. The facehugger invoking arachnophobic feelings, the chestburster with fears of infection and impregnation, and then the final monster and the fear of being hunted by an unfeeling, instinctual predator.
I came up with a concept a while back, for something completely different to any killer we have, at least in terms of power set up and power strength in endgame. But loosely based on Myers format of powering up to become OP later on.
It's not a flawless concept and would probably never happen, but it's an interesting one that doesn't utilising 'vents' or other forms of 'portals' like Demo.

Jurassic Park would be very cool! I can't help imagining a massive T-rex with Tinkerer on bursting through a breakable wall and scaring the living BEEP out of you lol.
I've probably said this one before but Man On Fire or straight-up Sahelanthropus from Metal Gear Solid. Just having Sally shoot his explosive stalactites at survivors, and have his missiles and mist bomb would be kinda hilarious. Although very survivor unfriendly, maybe they can hide in cardboard boxes and be safe from everything once per trail.

I don't say that it's the only "power" of the Alien
But It's one of the best known, and the part of its ability to walk on walls and ceilings, again, it goes to the open map problem... The vast majority of DBD maps are outdoors ...
So limit, you could give him those acid blasts, undetectable abilities, ... and facehugger?... What's he gonna do? It can contaminate generator, or lockers with these eggs, and if a survivor approaches it or touches it, it jumps on its face and will have to try to remove it, which will give a signal to the Alien that a survivor is "caught"? What he has left is a bit of a mix of Plague and Charlotte

Two words: Patrick Bateman.

I feel like jaws could easily fit, just make his model a shark swimming in the floor
3 -
Lol that’s amazing!

Also, the trials already feel like they're eyepocalypse realms for the Hunt, the Eye and the Web. The 2 settings effectively coexist in many ways in my headcannon.
I was thinking more mechanically the Distortion enemy would be too problematic with motion sickness and such. Doesn't mean the Magnus Archives can't exist as a good chapter. Afterall, the killer roster could be plentiful on their own!
The Distortion, Jane Prentiss, Jared Hopworth, Nikola Orsinov, Not-Sasha - many more besides.

Xenomorphs can actually do a lot! Stealth attacking was only a big deal in the first film, but Xenomorphs adapt to their environments and are designed to be able to create more of their kind by harvesting dna from a host via facehugger parasitism. So they could make a weird Entity infused Xenomorph

I really don't want to see xenomorph in dbd, not because they arent a great horror character, they are. That's the point though, for gameplay reasons anything they would do to the character would just make it a pathetic version. Canonically they are insanely lethal and they don't miss their targets. If it came to dbd it'd just be clowned on by survivors and diminished.

Diablo from the Diablo games.
I'd love to log in as a Survivor and hear 'Not even death can save you form me!'

I was actually thinking about this last night. I was watching JW Dominion again and thinking about the amount of funds they could rope in with a raptor (Specifically BLUE). Could have legendary skins of all the different raptors across all the films. I personally don't see why this couldn't work truthfully. Demo is the blueprint and IMO shuts down all this crap of this can or can't work nonsense. If Demo worked so can a raptor or Xenomorph.
On topic though The Thing is my choice that just wouldn't work. Would be bloody awesome though.
1 -
that sounds so cool. ill prob rewatch the films again its been awhile

honestly my personal choice would be psycho mantis from metal gear. i just think it would be so interesting to have a killer that could have some type of predictive power or some ######### but it would just be WAY too complicated lmao
1 -
Tremors. That ######### would be scary AF.
3 -
I too have said Jurassic Park velociraptors unironically.
Just think about it. Possibilities for cool maps, the velociraptor could have skins for the raptors from the different movies. Maybe even the Jurassic park theme lmao if we can get a monster like demo or dredge a JP raptor totally could one day ahha
1 -
Homelander. Not rly a mechanics issue but I don't think you could get away the stretch it would take to consider the boys "horror"
1 -
All the gens would be done by the time he's returned those video tapes

Heres a concept I made, much like you I would 100% love to see the weeping angels in dbd a perfect additon. In my concept i do factor in the staring at the angel, i took inspiration from the show itself as there are weaknesses to staring at an angel such as looking at the eyes and staring for too long will cause you to briefly blink. The concept is not exactly complete I just wanted to chuck it so some mechanics will be unfinished.

Jurassic Park could work if the killer was the Indoraptor from Jurassic World.
A killer I'd like to see added but wouldn't work would be Christine or one of the Vehicles from Maximum Overdrive. Being chased through the maps by a killer car would be fun but...no way it would work at all, lol.

The Blair Witch
The fact that you can even play as a killer in this game already doesn't work
1 -
Though I am working on a Blair Witch chapter concept. Just in a way where she's not a playable killer
1 -
Plis, I need this, is a necesity

I would like Alyssa from Clocktower 3, but she'd probably be too strong against killers ngl.
Same with Rei/Miku/Mio from Fatal Frame/Project Zero. The camera is too strong.

Oh you mean like scp 173 with the forced blinking eyes in any fangame it is starring in?
"Immobile when watched, fast as phasing spirit when not watched" sounds jarring to play as and against. Would be a nightmare to balance. Especially if survs can control/coordinate/rotate the observing mechanic.
