Why are Killers getting motion sick not a priority compared to hearing impaired Survivors?
Tired of wasting an entire perk slot to not look through a Pringles can and get motion sickness. I really do not understand the incredible stubbornness preventing an FoV slider from happening. Are the devs just big fans of FoV techs or what?

Devs said it’s because changing FOV provides a buff to killer’s abilities to kill, which makes sense, whereas the visual terror radius gives no advantage to survivor since it’s information they technically already have. Devs must be careful about adjusting killer gameplay mechanics in a way that inflates killrates because they don’t want them to rise above I guess 65%. They’re between 60 - 63% rn.

In what world do you think an extra 15 degrees of FOV and allowing a slider within that range is going to be such a massive buff to killers?
The only "buff" it provides is that you can see a tiny bit better in terms of scanning, and its harder for survivors to spin you. Spinning is only good against really really bad killers, and survivors don't actually hide these days, they want to get chased.
Better yet, why not test it out on PTB by just giving killers shadowborn basekit and see what happens? Or do a live test like they did with bloodlust and make it a checkbox in the options menu to give basekit shadowborn (for those who don't want to use it) and see what happens to kill rates.
Why be so scared of slightly tweaking a number that should be able to very easily be tested (there is literally a perk in the game already) to determine if it actually makes a difference so that people with medical issues aren't relegated to playing with 3 perks?

I suppose it does in the respect that being able to see and not get motion sick helps. Kind of like how being able to move your character and attack helps.

FoV teching and spinning almost exclusively screws over us console killer players. It's obnoxious it hasn't been changed yet. It was great when they changed the animations and survivors couldn't 360 us anymore but then they changed it back because survivors got big sad over it

Silly rabbit, quality-of-life and accessibility improvements are for survivors!

Forgot the golden rule! Survivors get visual terror radius and HUD changes and Killers have to take an anti-nausea med to have 4 perk slots.

A higher FoV would be a slight advantage, but it's a slight advantage that is needed in the name of accessibility. Survivors received a similar level of slight advantage in the HUD Action Icons, giving them a greater level of awareness previously only given to SWF on comms. Giving all killers basekit Shadowborn would be no different.

Built in fov slider so most Nurse/Blights can run another slowdown instead of shadowborn… Could be good, could be bad, as a Billy enjoyer shadowborn for me is a must and it would be nice to have a slider in settings, but we can’t overlook the reason why shadowborn is a perk, it’s only good on Huntress, Blight, Hillbilly and Nurse, every other killer doesn’t benefit from it.

I have motion sickness so i have to run it on all of them. Not much of a choice. Kinda why ive been pushing for it for years now. (And why its been my pfp for like 2 years)

Are you on PC? Would playing on 1600x1080 help? I play on that and it helps a bit and you get better performance 😎

Definitely need it basekit. Only game without an FOV slider.
Base FOV is terrible.

If it did happen, you'd be trading Shadowborn for Lightborn because you'd only be getting blinded from angles you'd never expect.

ok this was actually funny lol

At this point, i think just give killers an pov slider and increase survivor running speed by 5% to compensate for the advantage and be done with it.

both should be priority. can't believe ACCESSIBILITY of all things is being made into an us vs them. both sides deserve accessibility and that's final

...Why would it be a priority?
And if the two were flipped, why would the hard of hearing accessibility change be less of a priority?
They can only do so many things at once, sometimes it's gonna be arbitrary. Plus, there's the (imo slight and manageable) element of an FoV change actually buffing killer in some ways, which the visual terror radius doesn't do (excepting for maybe Sadako's lullaby that can be kind of hard to hear, but like, she shouldn't have that so it's not really a problem with the accessibility mechanic).
I'm all for adding in a small FoV slider, but this is a really weird tone to strike with it.

Don't like how you phrased it at all, but I would like an FoV slider to help my motion sickness.

Already happens. Killers can be blinded by survivors that aren't even on the screen.
