Is there any point in even trying as solo survivor?

I like to try personally. I typically have a worse time do to teammates being too scared. I had a game of lerys not too long ago against a nurse with 3 players left with 1 gen left. One died shortly afterward and I kept running Nurse and got two gens at about 80% done while the last survivor hid in a locker. I eventually got caught and died on first hook.

I get far more upset about teammates who don't even bother to help, especially towards the end of a game

If that's your only concern, run Distortion and you'll have a better time.

If you always give up directly with every challenge, you will unfortunately not get far or get better.

same, i don't actually mind Nurses (at worst the game will be short), but trying your hardest to loop her while your teammates are hiding in a corner far away from any gens is a bit sad

I do run Distortion but it's not gonna really do much when the Nurse lands every blink attack on my teammates.

I usually do try, even against difficult killers on difficult maps but the combo of a Nurse and Midwich as a solo queue player just seems impossible. Unless the Nurse is genuinely new or rarely plays her and is just doing a daily or something, it's almost never gonna result in more than 1 person escaping so it kinda feels like why bother.

Yeah those can be pretty frustrating... in the lerys game I had seen they were a twitch person and I said on their twitch "hey we could have won if you did gens qt the end" and they immediately said they did gens at the end (ignoring the fact I can see they gen progress lol) and banned me. Just admit you sandbagged me

To be fair, midwich allows several killers to have op builds that wouldnt work in any other map.

    Impossible skill checks Doctor build

    Bouncing blades trickster

Skull merchant droning like 75% of the map

    Agi-star Wesker

On the off chance that you and your team are competent enough to win? If nothing else you really should see how the game goes before calling it an instant loss.

Give it a try. Maybe the Nurse will be like me and whiff a lot!

I'm generally against the idea of automatically folding as soon as you see a particular map or killer you are going against. Most nurses I encounter are hot trash. Maps also rarely play a significant factor unless I'm playing as a killer on a map that just doesn't work remotely for my particular killer (such as scratched mirror myers in an open field map).

Heck, you might even have fun

Midwich is one of the most horribly designed maps in this game. It's not only a nurse issue. Think about skull merchant, doctor, blight or wesker.

Meanwhile all other killers suffer from the most uninteractive but efficient counterplay: w gaming. Other than the fact that it's extremely anoying to be downstairs, hear clearly a survivor working on the gen on top of you and having to walk to uganda and back to reach it, just for the survivor to have pre run in the opposite direction and being at the end of the corridor already
