What is this new anti tunnel garbage

UwU Member Posts: 50

When you hook someone and they get farmed right infront of you, you can no longer kill the person who was hooked for a good like 10 seconds????

Why is this a thing. How is it my fault if some idiot decides to save right next to the exit gate when im right there and i literally cant even get a kill anymore cuz when i hit them it just gives them a sprint boost. this is such bullshit man as someone who plays killer and survivor this wasnt needed at all survivors can alreayd counter facecamping and tunnelling ffs.

I assume you are talking about the unhooking invulnerability.

I have no idea either why thsi was added, but rushing hooks is even more braindead due to that

I never go too far from my hook anyways, I always just patrol nearby gens unless I know somebodies on the ones further away. I mean you can't expect much balance from a group of developers who are genuinely rank 20s in their own game (if you watch the dev live streams, you can see sometimes they play and they're literally rank 20 soo, lol) but you would think they wouldn't just take advice off angry players who don't know how to counter certain things in the game.

Removing tunnelling would be the equilavent of saying "Can we please make it so you can't run through the same pallet more than once because I keep getting looped in games" lol.

    It takes stuff like this:

for the devs to realize that stuff like instablind are OP.

Okay, if the temporary invincibility after an unhook has you down just remember: watch the legs.

Once the survivior is moving and has regained control you can smack them again and knock them down.

literally wait half a second then hit them if you really wanna tunnel the guy off hook, and pray they dont have borrowed. on a semi related note, I-frames don't exist when you pull urself off a hook and that makes me sad

But some killers were tunneling so much it really sucked the fun out of the game for a lot of people.

Just slug if you bump into them. Slows survivors down but they dont take a hook. Its good for both sides. I used to slug when people got unhooked in front of me anyway. It stopped me from being hurt with genrush but it also gave that survivor a second chance.

And slugging is more fun for the survivors?
Oh boy, the salt I collect with my slugging builds.....

If its a full slugging build and you're trying to slug everyone no.

If its a quick slug IF you're caught fresh off the hook, it's preferrable imo to another hook.

It's just more sporting over simply throwing them back on the hook right after they got off. You aren't trying to keep them slugged, just out of action possibly tying up another survivor traveling to revive them while you buy more time to down the chicken that made the save in the first place and then ran off to hide. Done right you tied up three survivors for awhile instead of just one.

    Yeah that's what I mean.

It givrs them a chance because they aren't hooked again, and it slows them down so that the killer doesn't lose out by letting them go.

    It's a good compromise.

Its the killers job to oppress and kill you. Most are just performing in the most time efficient manner, with time being mainly in the survivors hands. Yeah its still possible to get a 4k and spread the love, but that doesn't make it the smartest method. Its pvp, usually only one side is satisfied with the end result.

This is such a strange complaint. You're upset that you can't stab someone before they've even regained control of their character? Lol. I'm happy they fixed it. Just don't camp and you won't even have this issue lol.

And why should the survivor get a second chance, if the survivor farms them. it's no ones fault except for the one who farmed, so just punish them for doing so by just minusing their points

Because tunneling is not fun. Do you ever play survivor? Do you like being tunneled and get hit immediately after someone unhooks you?

Quick slugg? we are talking about 60 seconds here lol, thats a full hook stage

Maybe if the devs balanced the game so you didn't have to immediately remove one player to have a chance at winning, then killers wouldn't have to resort to tunneling down that one person.

Maybe those people complaining about not able to avoid tunneling need just some more training? Oh no this cant be possible xD

Survivors are at 133% efficiency with all 4 up and drop to around 73% when they're down one. It's far better for the killer to tunnel down one person and remove them as soon as possible than to benevolently spread the damage.

Made the mistake of trying not to tunnel last game and only got 1k because of it. Never again, the fun stops here.

Don't feed the megsareevil troll, the guy literally thinks that BT is useless because you get "downed in a few seconds afterwards".

Survivor get more and more training wheels these days.

Everything to make them escape even the most unsafe unhooks right into the killers face.

    BT got buffed.

Getting hooked gives a free exhaustion relief.

Getting unhooked gives you temporary invulnerability, which is very inconsistent and sometimes even lasts after the survivor ran a few seconds.

A lot of hits that should have hit the unhooker get soaked up by the invulnerable unhooked survivor.

And on top of that they are going to buff DS.

    Pretty good job so far.
