How do I report anonymous username players?
Hi all,
Just wondering how we go about reporting anonymous players who grief, I can't get their username and it's becoming increasingly common these days. I'd use the in game report feature but it gives barely any feedback so it feels like it does nothing.

- make an ingame report as described here
- write a ticket and add the date / time / timezone into the ticket so the support person can find your ingame report more easily

Reporting a player who uses Anonymous Mode is the same as reporting anyone else: you first use the in-game report system to flag the match, then you open a ticket on the Support website using the chat bot at the bottom of the page, which requires some of your information (nametag, cloud ID, etc.) and video evidence for this specific offense.
If you are not able to attach the clip to the ticket, upload it as unlisted on Youtube and post the link in the ticket's description.
When Anonymous Mode was added, the ticket was changed to not require nametags, steamIDs or profile links anymore, that information can be retrieved by Support through the in-game report and the information you provide in your ticket.

Thank you so much for the help! Do you think the report system will ever be improved to make reporting easier? This sounds like a lot of effort to report one person. A lot of people playing the game casually will likely not find it worth the effort and rather frustrating to do so. Imagine more so for console players.

thats actually a good point, since griefing over multiple matches can’t be tracked if the griefer is anonymous, you really can’t report it in that case? Or you just have to make an educated guess if it’s really the same person targeting you over multiple matches?

It's more the endgame chat I'm referring to mostly which gives it away

Oh yeah. End game chat doesn’t even require additional proof or even an additional ticket. Just the in-game report. The chat log should be saved on their end automatically.

So I tried reporting, and there are times stuff has happened and my friends got a clip of the offender (a meg speed hacking without exhuastion perks for movement), and I was already tunneled out so I couldn't report, and they werent aware of being able to report in game so we couldn't follow it up because of ANONYMOUS mode.
Until you fix the cheater situation Anonymous mode needs killswitched.
