Dbd vs new game?
Do you see also more and more player, friends and well-known streamers migrating to this new online multiplayer game?
It's insane and getting bigger every day.
Was the update to blame and was this new game released at the perfekt time?
To be honest, its no longer surprising.
If player XY is tunneled out 10 times in a row, camped and slugging the next 10 and there would be such a super new great game that is also addictive.
Oh well....

...what game are we on about?
because every game that's been called a dbd killer has been killed by dbd.

I dont know If I should mention the name here...
Do you watch dbd on twitch?

Streamers? No, I don't.
But mentioning other games doesn't get you banned on here.

Okay then.... I mean the game: Deceive inc.

Well, the secrecy is certainly in-character for that game.
But at the end of the day… can’t they just co-exist?
0 -
Of course, but this game is so addictive
I know for example 2 good streamer they are playing both but every day more and longer Deceive.
2 friends from me play now only that every day now.
I still play dbd, I dont know If I try this game

Decieve Inc. gives weird vibes to me. It might just be me, but it looks to me like one of those games where I think I would enjoy it a lot, but I actually wouldn't actually enjoy playing it. Probably because it's art style is similar to Evil Genius 2, and that's the experience I had with it.

Omg I knew I wasn’t the only one that got that exact same vibe

What I will say is the second people call the game a DBD killer, and treat it like a DBD killer, they doom it from the start. Friday was the only real competition we've ever had, and it died because of a lawsuit. VHS, Predator Hunting Grounds, Prop Hunt, Deathgarden, etc. All praised as DBD killers, all died within a year.

I never said it would kill dbd.
My question was actually whether the others might see it similarly.

I can understand. I don't thing I would enjoy it either even though my friends are pushing me to try it.

Both games include mindgames and attempting to outwit your opponents, in addition to tracking them in the first place.
DBD has enough years and players to have entrenched knowledge of optimal ways to play though, in addition to the optimal way to play also kinda removing a lot of the capability for mindgames unless dedicating your Perks to it (immediate Tunneling out of a Survivor), with sub strategies whose counter-argument is "don't play any mindgames and M1" (Camping).
Deceive Inc. is new and fresh, so the meta is still being defined. But from what I can tell they'll eventually have to address scavenging battles (hearing gunshots and then scouring the zone for the victor to pop them while their low), how inconsequential being obvious at the start is given there's no insta-kills but relatively easy disengage tools, and how the main gameplay loop more or less needs a sacrificial lamb to grab the objective to then be subsequently bodied by the people who were waiting outside.

Most people play multiple games. Most of the streamers I follow generally play one or two other games than DBD. It's not unusual for them to try and enjoy new games. When Skyrim came out alot of DBD streamers consistently played that for awhile. Same with the Evil Dead game. I've seen a number of them playing the Outlast Trials earlier today.

Not everyone’s experience is the same as yours or your friends.
I’ve been playing survivor to complete the rift challenges and I noticed that when a killer tunneled someone it was when my idiot teammates kept feeding them (body block with BT, bait them so they can use DS, go for flashlight saves).
Sure, you have the diehard camper/tunneled from the start of the match but that was seen less than 1 out of 10 matches for me.
Dbd is fine. No game will kill it. It’s like how everyone used to say such and such game will kill WoW and yet, it’s still kicking.

I personally only know two people who quit. Both did so over tunneling and three genning. It was basically "every game is the same old ****" sort of stuff.

Deathgarden made by Behaviour Interactive so i don't think don't be a dbd killer.

People called it a dbd killer. It wasn't made to be, but none of these games were. They were simply labelled dbd killers by the community, and as they didn't then live up to that expectation were dropped and left for dead.

Looking at Steam player counts its got a long way too go before its even in competition with something like DbD.
I played it over the free weekend. Fun for awhile, felt like it could be really good with some changes to the game, but I got bored with it pretty quickly.

It's one of those games I can watch being played, but don't enjoy playing myself

Yeah, there have been some, which might be partially because of "Tools of Torment" (understandable), the midchapter update (which was great, but some had a hissy fit over) and also because nothing much was happening in the world of DBD for a while. It went all quiet for a while, so people sought to try new games.

I saw a lot of DBD streamers move over to Decieve Inc for a while, and while some still play it, after the new-game-novelty wore off most are back to mainly playing DBD again.
It's a cool game and I myself played it a bit during the free weekend but it's not gonna kill DBD and from what I've seen even with all the streamers playing it it's still struggling to get that many players.
