Face camping "fix" concerns
Everything in this game that has a radius is cylinder based. When a killer hooks a survivor in the basement of the killer shack or main building and a survivor charges in for the unhook, the killer's only choices are leave and let the survivor unhook freely or chase the survivor around the loop while the survivor in the basement gets a free unhook.
Also, how will Amanda's map be playable? It's small because it's two stories and walled in, but cylinders go through walls and floors?

It's not free save. Survivor is leaving gen for saving their teammate. They are giving you slowdown on gens.
Just because you hooked them , what makes you think you deserved this kill? Now you actually have to play game instead of sitting next to hook. If you are not gonna face-camp this change won't affect you.

I don't think it'll be cylinder based, I'm p sure it's only skull merchant's drones which are cylinders and things like boons and definitely reassurance are spheres, it's just hard to tell with boons because 24 meters is kinda a lot

If someone charges in before the killer can leave, the survivors shouldn't get a free unhook. They are making a bad play and the killer shouldn't be punished for it. If the killer is chasing someone, they shouldn't be punished because the survivor takes the chase to or around the hook.
Leaving a gen to unhook is a normal part of the game. Someone being rewarded with the ability to unhook themselves because a survivor led the killer to the hook should not be part of the game

Agreed. The number of people who apparently think “survivors never mess up, if anything the killer does stops them it means the killer is playing scummy and unfair and should be punished” is maddening. Like the other thread where the person is complaining about the killer slugging all four survivors. How did the survivors all go down in the first place?
Folks, it’s a game. Sometimes you mess up. Sometimes the other person plays better. Sometimes one side gets unlucky. That’s what a game is!

They mentioned that they were aware of two floor maps like The Game and were just waiting to see how it plays out before adjusting it. If it's an issue, they'll probably fix it before it goes live.
This also is not coming in the anniversary PTB, so they've got awhile to adjust it.

Just saying, if they make it a sphere, it will make camping easier in situations where the killer can wait on top of a building or right next to a hole in the floor, allowing them to quickly drop back down to the hook. Not to mention if it was a sphere, it wouldn't help against Basement camping, because you can do that just by staying near the basement entrance.

Since you mentioned the game map, how would you prevent the killer from standing upstairs above a hook and waiting for the save attempt?
There are several areas on that exact map where you have clear line of sight of a hook through the floor holes and can drop down. It's face camping from the upper floor. What good is an anti camp mechanic if it can't address that issue?
Or standing at the top of the basement stairs on literally any map?
This solution already doesn't fix that, say, hag can just multi trap a hook and camp from anywhere in teleport range. Or huntress holding a hatchet from exactly out of range and waiting. Or any killer with any mobility or power that can cover 16m, teleport, take health states from range, or just use their power near a hook while they walk away. That's nearly every killer in the roster btw.
