I wanna hear your feelings on the upcoming PTB

With one day left until the PTB is available for download, I would like to hear what you guys think and feel about this next chapter. Regarding the killer itself, being able to place what is effectively security cameras with a manual turret seems like a cool idea. It means that thanks to what's effectively a pinhead teleport when they get infected, they'll have good map control without it being a total slog like the recent killers we've had. Now with what I heard about the perks on the Behind The Scenes we saw on the stream, I'm particularly interested in the one distraction perk that they mentioned. Don't care that much about the gen one because we don't need gen speed perks.

Also yeezus christ, that map looks beautiful!

I'm optimistic about finally breaching into the genre of sci-fi horror and End Transmission looks like a strong start. The Singularity looks great, I like the design a lot, I hope their power is good -- though so far it sounds like a strange mishmash of Plague and Demogorgon. I need to learn more about how its power works before I can make any judgments on how well they play.

The new survivor also looks cool. I think the glowy gadget on Gabriel's chest is goofy but I can look past that. If he has good perks I'll gladly pick him up.

The map looks great, but I'm very concerned about its playability. BHVR has been emphasizing map aesthetics over map fun for the past year or two. Looks great but plays like ass. Hopefully this will be an exception because a hostile alien jungle sounds really cool to me.

All in all this chapter feels like everything Tools of Torment should have been. I'm even excited over the Tome it will receive because I'm hoping it will give us a lot of sci-fi themed cosmetics for other characters.

Unfortunately the killer just sounds like skull merchant 2.0, just like how dredge is to sadako. They are probably going to be good at holding because of the teleport ability. But the camera things sounds fun but yeah i feel like this is gonna be controversial...

Map looks really nice we'll have to see if it's good to play on.

Hopefully the perks are good and worth using but they usually aren't so i am not expecting much.

I feel like the Singularity could go in one of two ways based on impression. Either relying on hit and run playstyle or become another Artist or Dredge and have a hard time using their power effectively in chase. But we'll see.

I'm not a big sci-fi fan but I do like the map previews. It's refreshing to have a location that's completely different in aesthetic.

I am heavily apprehensive on if the map will be another disaster. I'm getting incredibly tired of aesthetically pleasing, yet a nightmare to play on, maps that they keep pumping out with every chapter. However, we will see how it all shakes out tomorrow I suppose.

I have a bad feeling that people will not enjoy this chapter. The Killer seems like another gen defender which Survivors hate and the map could be total mess of so many random props lying everywhere and blocking your path. But hey, we will see in 10 hours or so.

    1) The new map is going to be miserable to play on and they will never fix it.

    2) The new Killer is going to be the third 3 gen Killer in a row and they will never overhaul it.

    3) The anti-facecamping mechanic will be very rough and will take some time until it doesn't punish playing normally.

I'm expecting a big L, but BHVR has an impeccable track record of underwhelming performance, so it might be even worse! I've got the popcorn ready in any event.

Genuinely was hoping to find more than one positive comment but there's one thing I agree on and that's their aforementioned track record. Just a feeeew more minutes. :>

My feelings? If only I could play PTB on console and give feedback on how it performs on a console. Also, did they reuse assets from Dredge for this killer? Why are its weapon and the way it seems to swing it almost identical??

I'm also optimistic about moving into sci-fi, but the Singulariy looks like if Chappie identified as a praying mantis.

I was hoping for a terminator, and wouldn't even mind seeing something like T.A.R.S... but, at least it's not Springtrap.

I cant wait to try it when I get home personally. I think that Larry/Meatball will have more potential than just 3 gen, similar to what Golbez said. The map looks interesting although I am concerned with how demanding its going to be for my laptop, considering GoJ causes a slight dip in frames.
