Tapp is under-rated
When people ask me what survivor they should buy next my default answer is "Detective Tapp"
All three of his perks are perfect in their own way.
I've been using Stake Out as part of my build since 2019 but aside from Stake Out, Tenacity and Detective's Hunch are perfect.
All of his perks synergise so well with other perks in the game.
Do any of you use a Tapp perk or main him?

I only use Stake Out occasionally if I feel like running a Hyperfocus build. I almost never get slugged, so Tenacity isn't useful. And Detective's Hunch is just ok. Hex perks are not nearly as common as they used to be so.. yeah.
I do play as Tapp though, just because I like Danny Glover.

I use stake out fairly regularly. I used to use Detective's Hunch when hexes saw a lot of use, but now that they've become less common I don't use it much. Tenacity I only ever run in full anti-slug builds, which I don't run very often cause I don't seem to get slugged very often.
His perks are solid overall, but Tenacity is definitely the weak link of the bunch.

I play Tapp occasionally, because I really like the SAW franchise + Tapp is a cool character.
His perks are very solid, but Tenacity is kinda weak. I do use Stake Out really frequently and used to run Detective's Hunch a lot back in the day.

His perks are alright i think but not great.
Tenacity is alone terrible perk but can shine with some builds.
Detective's Hunch was not popular even in the hex totem builds era. Now, it's just pointless perk because hex totems are not popular.
Stake Out is also terrible perk when you use it alone but it's also good part of some builds.
Tapp is not so needed survivor if you ask me, there is better options.

I use Stake Out with Hyperfocus and Fogwise. It's great when doing gens as it ensures you land great skill checks - seeing the killer is an extra I can only appreciate.
edit: Hunch I find useful when I use totem blessing perks. I need this aura reading ability to ensure I do not waste time running around looking for totems.
