Killer: Lucy Miller OR The Seeker

Age: 6

Gender: Female

Backstory: Lucy was born into a simple middle-class family. Her mother was a doctor, and her father a hotel manager. Their lives were simple and sweet - each of them very close with one another. They were as normal as any other family you´d come to pass. They all loved to play games, especially hide in seek in the old hotel her father worked at. It was never really crowded at night so they had much space to play. If only the family was aware of that building´s sinister future that was yet to come.
One year, Lucy´s father comes home from work early. His behavior unusual and distant. The old hotel had let go of all of its employees for business was dead. By winter next year they would be remodeling it to be someone else´s business. Her parents were upset because of their major loss of incoming money, and Lucy was upset for she had lost the best hide and seek spots. Her father, however, took the news harder than he appeared to. He had searched for replacement jobs to keep himself busy but to no luck. No one needed him. Time passed on, and Lucy´s father had only fallen into an odd schedule. He would go out drinking and would not come home until the next morning. His normal, kind and gentle behavior turned sinister...
By the time Lucy was 6, a year had passed, the hotel´s remodeling happening soon... Her father had only gotten worse. Lucy would often use her skills of hide and seek to escape her reality, but her escape was boring without a friend. Lucy´s mother, however, has always stayed her friend. When her father would go out, her mother stayed true to her family - together they would play games... it was fun for Lucy, but she wanted her father back too. One night, Lucy approached her father with the simple request of one game of hide and seek. Her father refused. Lucy, however, didn´t wish to take no for an answer. She pressed further and further with her request until her father had had enough. Things would have gotten worse if not for Lucy´s mother intervening. Lucy watched in horror as her mother bashed her fathers head in from behind with a simple hand-held hammer she had most likely gotten from the garage.
Soon realizing what she had done, the mother knew she would lose her daughter if the police had seen what she had done. Thinking fast her mother simply told Lucy it was a new rule of hide and seek. A different form of tag so to say. Lucy slowly believed her mother, for her mother has never lied to her before. The mother hands Lucy the hammer and she directs both of them to the car where they drove to the old abandoned hotel her father used to work at. One last game of hide and seek, her mother had told her. They both share a small snack her mother had prepared and headed inside to play their final game.
Lucy was it, and her mother placed her within an old janitorial closet and told her to count backwards from 100. Lucy agreed, new hammer ready for when she got to zero... sadly she never got to that. Her mother didn´t try to hide, she sat right outside the closet door and listened as her child counted aloud. Soon her child´s counting died off, and she knew the deed was done. Laying her head back against the door she closes her eyes and lets sleep overtake her too, soon she and her daughter would be together again.
Their bodies were discovered just days later when a construction crew came to begin the building reconstruction. Their cause of death was poisoning that was ingested just hours before their deaths. A letter was found on the mother confessing all she had done the night of their deaths. Claiming she did not want her child to be taken away - to grow without a mother... If she would have only seen there was a simpler way of solving her problem, but she had refused to open her eyes to reality.
Sadly that was not the case...
Lucy was not ready to sleep, however - she still wanted to keep playing her new form of hide and seek. A shadowy figure heard her request and promised her a lifetime of fun and games - hide and seek included. The deal sounded perfect to Lucy, for now, she could play all day long... now all she needed were friends to play with.

Appearance: Caucasian, short in height (about as tall as a crouched pig), long black hair and bangs, green eyes, wearing a knee-length white nightgown that is covered in blood from her past games. Her skin is pale, her veins showing on her body. Feet are bare and covered in dirt and blood.

Prestige Clothing Style:
Prestige 1- Same bloody night gown, but in the center is a design of her best friend The Entity.
Prestige 2- Around her pale and dirty feet is a dark mist that surrounds her feet and continues to do so as she walks around.
Prestige 3- Her hair is pulled into pigtails, but the twist ties that would normally keep ones hair up is actually little baby entity claws that move slightly. Her bangs still resting against her forehead.

Weapon: Bloody hand-held hammer

Power: Hide and Seek - Lucy was always fair with her games. She would leave clues as to where she could be hiding on the playing board. Lucy is able to draw 5 drawings anywhere on the map whether it be on the ground or on the walls. Once they are set, Lucy is able to hide within her drawings if she chooses to as long as she is within 3 meters of the drawing. If a survivor happens to wander within a 6-meter range she can choose to surprise attack the survivor (Best to hope another survivor has found the unlucky drawing housing the crazed child). However, while hiding in a drawing, Lucy is unable to see or hear any missed skill checks as well as being unable to hear the grunts and groans of wounded survivors. Lucy is also able to hide the MAX of 3 generators within her drawings. To hide a gen, it takes the precious time of 5 seconds to hide and place. To be destroyed by a survivor it takes 3.5 seconds. Just be sure to look for drawings with generators on them instead of drawings with a scary girl on them (default drawings). Generator drawings are 100% Lucy free! If Lucy wishes to place a 6th drawing, one of her previous drawings will disappear (gen drawings included) so that her new drawing may be placed. If a survivor finds a drawing, they may rip up the drawing (3.5 seconds) - taking away one of her hiding spots..

Perks:
Faulty- No one likes a short game of hide and seek. For each missed skill check, the entity will regress the current generator by 10/15/25%
Quiet One(Hex)- What's a game without an unexpected twist? While this hex is active, the killer's terror radius is decreased by 15/25/50% while survivors are hooked.
Game Over- No one enjoys a game's end. With this perk, as soon as the final generator is active our killer has left a sweet surprise on the exit gates. Skill checks now appear on the gate increasing in difficulty by 15/25/50%

Mori: Laughing happily, she slowly stalks toward the survivor who tries their best to crawl away to no avail. Sitting down on their back, Lucy beats her hammer down onto the survivors head until they move no more. Once they join her family, she rises up and wipes her hammer on her dress - ready to find her next friend.

Movement Speed: 115%

Terror Radius: 28 Meters (Instead of the heartbeat, we hear a little girl's laugh)

Carrying A Survivor: Instead of carrying a survivor on her shoulder, she will drag them on the ground by their feet. The survivor can struggle by wiggling/kicking their feet until they either get free or until they are placed onto a hook.

Hooking A Survivor: Due to her size, Lucy is unable to lift the survivors up onto the hook, so instead the entity will lend her a helping hand. The entity's claws (From the sacrifice process) will appear from the hook, grab the survivor from the ground, and the claws throw the survivors onto the hook to begin the process.

Add-Ons:
False Alarm(Rare)- Lucy loves leaving her friends gifts of all kinds. At the beginning of the trial, one extra random drawing will appear at a random spot on the map. If a survivor walks within a six-meter radius of this drawing, a decoy Lucy will pop out at the survivor, scaring them and every other survivor within 6 meters to scream out alerting the real Lucy of their whereabouts.

Ragged Teddy Bear(Common)- A little friend from the past! A teddy bear thats always watched over Lucy - making sure her games were always a tiny bit easier. The time it takes to enter/exit a drawing is decreased slightly.

Broken Crayon(Uncommon)- It's been used a lot, but theres still enough to draw with. Trap setting time is slightly decreased.

Broken Vial(Ultra Rare)- A gift for her best friend the entity. A blood vial full of her friend's blood from past games, in exchange, the entity gives a gift back. 5% movement speed increased

Red Pouch(Rare)- A little red pouch her mother used to carry coins in. Start the trial with 2 extra drawings

Mother's Letter(Ultra rare)- Learning the truth saddens Lucy greatly, so she focuses on the game to forget the sadness. While hiding in drawings, Lucy is now able to see and hear any missed skill checks as well as now being able to hear the grunts and groans of nearby survivors.

Survivor: North Strider

Age: 20

Gender: Female

Appearance: Caucasian, average height (About as tall as Meg), short black hair and bangs, brown eyes, wearing a black sweater, tarnished white jeans, and black combat boots.

Prestige Clothing Style:
Prestige 1- Bloody black sweater.
Prestige 2- Bloody white jeans.
Prestige 3- Bloody face.
(Pretty much the same deal with all other survivors)

Backstory: Given up at birth, North has always been a curious child. She was the type of kid to chase after the most strange stories and gossip - the kind of girl to throw her neck out for the truth! Telling stories and solving mysteries helped her cope with her own mysterious life... North has spent most of her teenage years searching for her birth parents but to no luck. She figured they were either deceased or really good at hiding. She was determined to solve any mystery and tell every story that came her way, and that was the same case when a double murder, suicide came flying her way.
This story shocked the community, how a mother could kill her own husband and her child in the span of one night... but that wasn´t all that caught this young journalists eye. Rumors have been going around lately about Lucy Miller, Joyce Miller´s daughter. People have reported seeing the girl walking about from the upper floors of the old hotel, and everyone seems to believe it is the deceased child. North wasn't one to chase after ghosts, but if there was a slim chance at finding out more to her story, about what had all happened the night of her and her father´s murder - she was more than willing to try. She was dealing with a child after-all... she probably wants a friend to talk to.

Perks:
Friendly Fire- Past experiences in the crime field have taught you it's a bad idea to wander too close to an obvious trap - It's better to keep your distance and play it safe! Using skills picked up from an old friend you throw a small boot dagger in the direction of danger. Throwing the dagger can disable any trap in the course of 3.5 seconds without any noise warning to the killer. Miss your trap target, however, and a noise notification will be shown to the killer. How's your aim?
Prodigy- You´re a sneaky one - send the killer on a wild goose chase. Successfully escaping the killer´s chase will activate this perk. Once you´ve gotten away, a false trail (Scratch marks) will appear for 5/10/15 seconds alongside your original trail (if you ran that is). Best hope he follows the decoy trail instead of the original... Cool-down is 60 seconds.
Persistent: You are a sneaky one and hate losing to childish games. You stole a heart shapped locket - a gift from the entity upon your arrival in the fog. In order to activate this perk, you must save at least one survivor from a hook. If you do - once you're downed you will be given a command option to use the perk. Upon pressing the required action button - you break the locket upon the ground forcing the entity to wisk you away to a safe location... Looks like you get a second chance at life. Don't waste it...(Perks deactivates after use).

New Map: I introduce to you the Abandoned Bison Hotel! This is Lucy´s favorite place to play her games of hide and seek. It may become your favorite place to play too, as there are many places to hide. Whether it be inside with all of the construction crews equipment and vacant rooms or even outside in the old parking lots. Just be wary of the construction equipment out there too. They won´t be coming back anytime soon to collect their things, they don´t wish to disturb Lucy´s game. Three floors of endless possibilities, just be sure to be wary of where you walk, you never know what could be around the next corner...

And there you have it! I call my chapter "Hide and Seek"!

I made this Chapter: Hide and Seek in hopes the Dead By Daylight Team sees my idea. I've been planning this idea out for a few months now, and I think I got everything I need. Feedback would be greatly appreciated as well as what you guys think about having a child killer in the game.

Thank-you! I based my chapter off the thing that always scared me in both horror movies and horror games, and that was children. I didn't want my killer to have every single advantage in the game so I placed a flaw in her power so she can't know where the survivors are when they miss skill checks. And with the drawings I wanted to incorporate Lucy's love for games into her power. I didn't want her to be able to hide in actual lockers, so I decided to go with the drawings as a form of intensity and surprises. I've been planning these characters, perks, and everything out because I absolutely love the game and only want to see it grow more than it already has... In your mind, do you think this could ever become an actual chapter release In the game?

Maybe! I think that there’s DEFINITELY some sort of way they could use this, for sure! If enough support is given (say, the breakdown perk), if you had enough support it could be considered! Chances are the devs have looked at this, or will eventually. Who knows?

That makes me happy to hear. I have high hopes for this chapter, and I only want to see it through. Was there any thing you didn't like about the killer or survivor perks? I just want to make sure I perfect this idea as much as possible, and you've been such a big help already.

Seeing how excited you are I don't want to say bad things about this but I guess I'll have to. The power itself is very weak and situational, and the 110% movement speed makes her even weaker. I would give her the ability to travel between drawing, so you can use them to apply pressure on the map, and the ability to put them wherever you want would make this easy, you could hide the drawing close to a gen in the grass. To not make these changes too unfair I would make it so you can't place the drawings too close to gens and make survivors able to destroy the drawings, every destroyed will be given back to her to use again. For the rest I think it's ok, maybe the Quiet One Hex is a bit too powerful

On her movement speed, what would you reccomend it to be? Any help is appreciated. And thank-you for being honest.

So, since this power can't help her in the chase I'm unsure whether to give her 115% or keep the 110%
I mean, this power would be good with the changes but with 110% movement speed she would have some trouble in the chase.
So I don't know if 115% is good for her or not.

This is sooo cool! I hope Devs see this because I really want them to work with you to make this chapter real! Their game deserves so much more credit than what its been getting, and I love how their fans create their own ideas to prove to the Devs that their game is amazing. Your idea is so vivid that I can easily imagine it. My personal favorite part is the mori you made for Lucy. It sounds awesome! Though on Lucy's power is she able to travle to all of her drawings or does she have to hop out first then make her way to the next?
She has to leave the drawing and walk to the next because if she could travel to each one without leaving, the players would simply place her drawings on the generators and travel to each one without ever leaving the drawing space. If she did that, players would never hear the terror radius and I just thought it'd be unfair. Now, survivors can destroy her drawings, but I simply wanted to make this as fair as possible without makeing her OP. And thanks for your support, I hope the Devs see this idea too!

I love this idea - a child killer seems like it'd be interesting. You thought about everything: from the style, to the perks and add-ons - I find it to be an amazing idea. Children are normally so sweete and innocent - nobody would expect them to be killers! I hope the Devs look more into your idea because I'd pay to play this chapter you made! It's very well thought out and something that I now HAVE to play!
Thank-you! Knowing I have people's support means a lot to me. Children always scared me in horror games because they all seem so sweet and innocent that you'd never expect them to attack. I am crossing fingers that Devs see my idea and hope to the moon and back that they consider the idea as a chapter for their game!

I love this all in general and it's clever, could you please inform me more on her power? I want to underline a few things and suggest a few, I may be at a lack of understanding but this is a good chance for a "Small" killer, to add on from tall, medium and short.

Is her killer supposed to be like the Hag's??

Broken Crayon(Common)- A gift for her best friend the entity. A blood vial full of her friend's blood from past games, in exchange, the entity gives a gift back. 10% movement speed increased

I don't think this add on would be a common, and to fix it, I would add:

Broken Crayon(Common)- A gift for her best friend the entity. A blood vial full of her friend's blood from past games, in exchange, the entity gives a gift back. receive a 10% movement speed increase for 10 seconds after you exit your drawing.

I have not really any issues for the map, lore, survivor or much else besides the killer, all of it is good, I think it could be more descriptive and trimmed down?

I feel that her terror radius would be 16? Possibly 110% speed? and of course, as you said, the terror radius heart beat is just proximity music of the little girl laughs.

Her cosmetics would be different versions of the night gown, her more higher rarity clothing can be her in pajama pants and a shirt instead.

Her outfit would be bloody only after a rank up.

Maybe she could have a teddy bear for her power with a tracking device? The bear would be planted on the ground and cannot be removed, only picked up by you, and it would highlight survivors in a certain radius.

Hello! Thanks for the amazing feedback on my DBD chapter! On the killer's power it is somewhat similar to the hags, but unlike the hag - my killer is able to sit within her drawings. I made it like that because I see it as the killer having her own form of a locker to hide in much like a survivor can do with the lockers hidden about the current maps. I am actually very intrigued by the tracking teddy idea you mentioned. It seems promising, and would love more details on that!
As for her movement speed, I made it 115% to match up with Freddy and The Pigs movement speed. Someone had previously commented that 110% would have been to slow.
Her outfit, for when someone is to prestige her is still under construction. I know that with Prestige 1, her same nightgown covered in blood - but in the middle of her gown will be a drawing of a shadowy figure(aka the entity). Prestige 2, you'll get her same feet, but with a dark black mist surrounding them, but for Prestige 3 I honestly dont know what I'm going to do.
All in all, I made this Chapter with extreme detail in hopes the DEVS see it and consider it as a possible DLC release for the future. I'm hoping the details and time I put into it pay off, because I would absolutely love to see a child killer in DBD!

This is cool, I wasn't sure if this would be useful or not but there are some situations where this could work, but I think most of the time waiting in one Drawing and not being able to switch between them would waste more time than you can spare. At the end game this is powerful because you can place several Drawings near both Exits and one is bound to go off. Other than that it's pretty cool, I really like your version of hooking the Survivors, I think it's really cute the Entity is helping her hook them.

The reason I didn't give my killer Lucy the ability to teleport from drawing to drawing is because if I did, whoever would play her would simply move from drawing to drawing without ever coming out until they were able to surprise attach a survivor. The survivors would never hear the heart beat until it was too late. I just didn't want to make her power unfair to the other players.

  • HatCreature
    HatCreature Member Posts: 3,298

That makes sense, but you might want to give her a secondary power besides hiding in her drawings. It's a good power but I don't think it's enough to really give her an edge or make players choose her over Hag.

Pig is the only one right now, besides putting her Reverse Bear Traps on Survivors she can crouch and sneak up to Survivors with no Terror Radius and then Ambush with a charge attack.

    DeltaTMD Member Posts: 71

See, what I am trying to do is eliminate camping when someone is hooked and I'm trying to eliminate camping in general because I feel that when killers have no Terror radius I see it as unfair to the survivors. You see with Michael Myers I can understand he doesn't have a heartbeat until he is tier 2 on stalk, Wraith until he uncloaks, and Pig until she uncrouches - but with my killer Lucy you could simply hide within her drawings until a Survivor wandered by. There would be no heartbeat at all, thats why I won't give her the ability to teleport drawing to drawing, but I do see benefits on a secondary power. I just don't know what it could possibly be.

  • HatCreature
    HatCreature Member Posts: 3,298

I didn't even think about camping, yeah I can see how she'd be the best camper in the game with that lol. Yeah thinking of a secondary power is hard, it doesn't have to be big, you may not even need one you could add somethings she can do with her drawings maybe.

What if, she could hide Generators in her Drawings? What if she could go up to a Gen and do an animation of her drawing and the Gen turns into a drawing on the ground? Survivors would have to destroy the drawing to bring the Gen back, she could slow down the game by kicking the Gen then trapping it.

  • DeltaTMD
    DeltaTMD Member Posts: 71

How would survivors know the gen was in the drawing? Instinctively, the survivors would be afraid to even approach the drawing because they would think Lucy was in it and not a gen. Fear will keep them from approaching and then Lucy could simply hide 5 gens in drawings... That's what I'm afraid of encountering with the killer power. I don't want the players to hate her like Legion - I want people to see her as a fair killer like trapper and the other orig killers.

  • HatCreature
    HatCreature Member Posts: 3,298

Well it would be where the Gen would be and the drawing would have the Gen on it, so a normal drawing would be whatever and then a hidden Gen drawing would have a Gen on it. Then they would have to destroy the drawing to get it out which could take like 10-116 seconds.

Alright, I tried to place your advice into the power of Lucy. Check it out and see what you think. I also changed the Killer's perk "Faulty" a little bit. I feel a little bit more confident now. Thanks for the helpful input!

@Watery I've recently gone over all the comments on my forum for this chapter DLC idea, and I've taken a lot of peoples thoughts into consideration on what they thought would be a good or bad idea. A lot of the chapter has changed mainly due to the fact that I felt it was incomplete - a lot of missing pieces. My main goal with this chapter was to eliminate camping killers all while keeping the fun and scary moments, so my idea went from my head, to pen and paper, to design of characters, to editing and fixing the important things that I may have left out before. Since my most recent edit, I honestly feel like I've caught many peoples attention and curiosity - and that's what I'm aiming for! I'm hoping this new version interests the Devs enough to possibly consider using my chapter idea as a future DLC release.

I've feel very confident this chapter can bring a new and scary element into the game. As I have said before - children are normally seen as innocent and incapable of violence, so no one really expects one to be capable of killing. I have always found it frightening when a kid in a horror movie came running towards the screen - just gave me goosebumps, and hopefully this chapter idea "Hide and Seek" will bring goosebumps to the DBD players too!

I hope the Devs see this! I absolutely love this game with all my heart, and simply dream of helping them create a DLC chapter. My chapter "Hide and Seek" has been a work in progress for about 5 months now, and I feel very confident in the way it has turned out. Everyone's feedback has simply made me smile time and time again to the point my cheeks hurt! I'm always looking forward to logging onto the forums, because there could be a new person with their opinion on the chapter. It could be what they think about it in general, or them pitching in with their own ideas on how I could improve it altogether! I'm hoping this chapter idea of mine inspires the Devs to think about possibly making it a real Chapter Release!

Also, everyone! I am having an online friend of mine create a visual image of the characters: Lucy (AKA, the Orphan - Our killer) and North Strider (Our Survivor), and I'm hoping there may even be a visual of the map as well. She and I are still working out the details. I've seen rough drafts of the characters, and I feel real excited for the outcome!

Not a bad concept over all,Alot of work and thought is obviously put into it , However,on the downside on behalf of what I would perceive the age of the girl would be the red flags in todays world as a parent we are constantly reminded today is not like yesterday we're told to give hugs n time outs instead of spankings so I think with a few exceptions like the original Halloween , and Pet Semetary, and a handful of others a child of such a young age would not be easy to digest maybe a 14 or 15 year old would be more suitable though the liklihood of hide and seek at such an age is unlikely its still plausible, in low populace colder areas as I'd imagine The Bison Hotel to be located in , just my thoughts, Regards and nice work ,

  • DeltaTMD
    DeltaTMD Member Posts: 71

That was sort of my goal when it came to Lucy's age. When I created her I was actually thinking about the original Halloween when Michael Myers kill Judith, and I thought about Pet Sematary through the entire process and I also like the creepy element in The Shining with the two twin girls at the end of the hall asking our protagonist to come play with them. I just thought if we could bring back the scary element to the game then it would be worth it because most people today see children as innocent and incapable of murder or any act of violence. But as we've seen in movies like Halloween Pet Sematary even Stephen King's It we've seen a child use violence _ and hide and seek has always been something creepy in my opinion because in scary movies the last thing you want to do is play hide and seek with a creepy child. Having a child antagonist is something not many people expect anymore in our modern day so that's the kind of go I was heading for we've seen teenagers and movies commit acts of murder and violence but not so much as a kid that isn't even ten so that was kind of my goal when it came to Lucy. And if you take Lucy's backstory you can see she's kind of incapable of knowing right from wrong. When her mother commits that violent act in front of her she simply believes her mother when she says it's a new form of hide-and-seek and that her father had lost. They're so willing to believe anything they hear so when she hears it's a new form of her favorite game she's more eager to play it and so she's less scared and she really wants to start spreading that same new form of hide and seek with everyone she meets. And as people get older they tend to realize the more specific meaning behind every little action, word, or what that they see and hear that's why I kind of stuck to a minimum age of a small innocent little girl kind of keep with the realism a little bit. But I do thank you for your opinions and thoughts every little bit of your words and everyone else has words on this form is such a big help to me and I really appreciate it I'm glad you like the chapter I made hopefully the DEVS will like it too!

I've been working with someone to try and get you guys a visual image of both our Survivor: North, and our Killer: Lucy. So far, I only have North's rough draft from the artist AtanvarenArt, but I have been given word that The final version of North, and the first draft of Lucy is yet to come. But I am happy to be able to share the first rough draft with you! Be sure to show the amazing artist some love! She has a deviant art account, that you have got to check out!

I know he did one on a child killer and wanted to make my own version of it. His style was really unique, but I am not naturally fond of the medical approach to his version. It was a very classic setting and I wanted to change it up. You may say I am a copier, but in all honesty my version sounds nothing like his minus the name of the killer itself, and that's mainly due to the fact that nothing else sounded better for Lucy, still working out the rough edges though.
