I wouldn´t call the sadako changes a buff though. The condemn feature just gets completely handed over to the control of survivors. As long as they carry a tape, their condemnation wont increase. So everyone will carry a tape at all times, which will also result in less tvs to teleport to, since the cd also increases when survivors turn a tv off.

I wonder how much of condemn gets removed when survivor delivers the tape to recorder.
If it is going to take off 4 stacks, then be sure you probably won't be getting people condemned unless you manage to catch someone with a tape and with at least 3 stacks of condemnation. With any recorder being usable, this means whatever you've managed to accumulate will be instantly removed by everyone.
Also you will now need aura reading perks, like Discordance if you intend to use TV for teleportation or you might end up teleporting to a TV that has no survivor nearby and is on the other side of the map.
Probably with some good addons it can become oppressive but on average, I feel like this will only introduce more tunneling as the changes introduced here do promote such playstyle ( ability to ambush better and make survivors get stacks from hits ).

Yeah, but they will always carry a tape. So yes, everytime you hit them, the get condemned. But since they will always want to run around with a tape, they will also just reset the condemned status, by using the tape on a tv.

The demanifestation changes are a net buff to me, though. I can agree that it's not a flat out buff regarding tapes but from what it looks to me, this allows Sadako to play more aggressively without needing to rely on stuff like drawing and iri tape or resort to a specific playstyle. Unfortunately it won't stop people from trying to play cringe but it's a net positive overall! :>

As if survivor didn't already manage to cleanse condemn mid chase nowadays.
Simply ditch the tape in the next TV when you hear her approach.
The worst that can happen is for her to abando chase to teleport somewhere and the survivor getting one stack.
Then get another tape, rinse and repeat.
Good survivor probably will never have more than one stack if the don't greed for the next gen.

They are getting 1 stack per hit. In comparision to getting 3/4 stack per teleport.

That won´t be much more aggressive. She always had a problem with loops. Since she is to slow. Not getting bloodlust while demanifested doesn´t really help with that.

Sadako is more of a change than a buff. But she have high killrate so they were never going to buff her rather nerfing like they do with killers performing well in kills.

And how exactly do you expect Sadako of all killers to utilize that? It's not like she is any good in chase and with the nerf to her mobility hit and run is also not going to work. So, as long as a survivor has a tape they are pretty safe from condemnation and they counter her teleport while they're at it.
Once you start to counter her power, you leave her with nothing, which leads to her basically countering herself with these changes. Sound familiar? It really is Singularity's EMPs all over again.

Thats funny. The most skilled Onryo streamers, where the ones that made heavy use of her condemn mechanic. Which is totally useless now.

If you hook them the tape they are holding is destroyed and they get condemn every time you hit them. If people just hold tapes they're going to spread condemn onto all of their team mates and htemselves every time they get chased.
Regardless condemn is not supposed to kill people consistently. The threat of death only exists to make it so you MUST deal with your condemn stacks as they build up. It's a way to force survivors to spend time doing something that isn't gens, not a way to kill people.
Overall this will be a buff for people who play sadako the normal way and a big ol nerf for people that just slug everyone and only try to kill by building condemn which is a big win in my book.

They basically removed everything that made Sadako an active and fun killer, and have instead made her power entirely passive. They "buffed" her condemn ability, but are completely killer her map mobility and control. And even, with the "buff", survivors are going to have even easier counterplay since they can now deposit tapes in ANY tv and the TVs will be turned off for 90 seconds.
I'm not sure how losing chase/bloodlust while de-manifested. Maybe just neutral. And not taking pallet stuns while demanifested is basically pointless since now survivors know all they have to do is wait for her to manifest before throwing a pallet. Just like they do with wraith.
Overall, these changes just make her more boring and passive to play as. I've been maining Onryo for the past year, and am really worried that this will suck all the fun out of playing her if it goes live.

Even if it turns out EXACTLY as you are portraying here, it would still be 1000% more interaction with tapes than now!
Now, you can play whole games without ever having to interact with a tape. Only when sadako brings the iri addon or the one that increases condemned by healing others, you are can find yourself in the position to acutally have to use it.
Even if it may not be as a threat to hold a tape anymore, it will surely increase the interaction with it, so time will have to be invested to fetch and return them. Which will delay the game. It will work similar to Pig traps, which's main purpose is also to delay the game.
So pls, lets first see who its turning out in the ptb, before crying that it will be so bad. And if it turns out to be too weak, the devs will adjust it. Contrary to the "devs don't listen" evergreen, the devs actually do listen, and have adjusted many things according to community feedback with the last chapters.

Yes, which makes the whole condemn feature pointless. Survivors get 3/4 of a condemn stack per teleport (unless they carry a tape) and 1 stack per hit. By the time a survivor gets full condemnation from hits, he would be already dead from normal downs/hooks. Which were never a strong point of Sadako.
