I do so much in a match yet got the worst score
I looped the killer for 3 gens and did 1 gen by myself, healed and unhooked teammates and took hits at gate, I did get taken by the killer after accidentally getting bodyblocked by a teammate at the exit gate and he just watched me die and nodded at me like I did something wrong. I got the least score out of everyone too when I did all that. My teammates looped the killer for a bit and did one gens but I thought I'd at least get a pip or get some score or bp. Bhv may as well have punched me and told me to get good. I don't even know if I wanna play again

It's been a long time issue that chases are not as rewarding as doing gens. Especially during the event when completing a generator gives you a bloodpoints bonus of a few thousands.

Same here. Killers do whatever and get near max points. I unhook, heal, do a generator, kite the killer for three gens and end up with 12k, and to top it off they're removing BP bonus from PTS.
I really, truly hope they have something in this update to balance the BP survivors get for ALLLLLL the work I put in vs how little work I put in as killer and get a ton.
I bust my bum off so bad as a survivor after a few games I'm literally so tired mentally I'll end up taking a nap and have almost no BP to show for it.
On killer I can blast my favorite music, barely try on spirit and get 4K with a TON of BP. Yeah, there is an issue here.

Bloodpoints as survivor work in a very funny way. The game rewards you for doing excessively useless things or playing unoptimally like doing gens with 3/4 people, and in contrast gives you little for things that actively contribute to the win. If you're getting tunneled from the start, then you're also guaranteed to be bottom score regardless of how good you performed because the chase category maxes at 10k, so you can physically not get more than 10k-15k total unless you escape.
Coop actions give absurdly high bonuses, if you do a gen with 2 teammates, you'll get like 5000 BPs. Doing the same gen alone will give you only 1250, despite taking 2.5x more time. In general, and despite being your main objective, gens are the least rewarding thing in the game. Repairing a gen gives 13 BP/s while for example opening a gate gives 60/s, healing gives 30/s, and even opening a chest gives 25/s. So you have to choose what's more important, gaining BPs or not throwing the game. Coop bonus also works for healing, so it's better to wait until you can be 2 people to heal the injured person, even though that makes no sense.
Finally, cleansing a totem (even a dull one) gives you more points in "boldness" category than being in a chase. So the next time you're getting chased and see your Meg doing a useless totem, the game thinks they are contributing more than you.

Because if you ran the killer for 5 gens but died anyway was it really a skilled play? Do you deserve more BPs than you got for your performance?

If the Killer isn't picking you up when you're downed at the exit gate they're giving you a crawling escape.

...yes? obviously?

Clearly Bhvr doesnt want you to earn bloodpoints on survivor.
