Seraphor, that’s a great answer and if art the clown would be out of the question I would agree with you

    Bioshock.

Big Daddy Bruiser as the killer with the drill arm.

Elisabeth as the survivor. She would have a perk that allows her to "reroll" a tileset temporarily or spawn in a chest with the most needed item at the time.

Dilapidated Rapture with lots of running water and flickering lighting.

    Specifically for video game licenses.

Horror related - Alone In The Dark, Bioshock or Outlast

For a crossover not specifically horror but with horror elements in the story guest killer - Postal (Based off of 1)

In particular - I'd love for an Outlast chapter where somehow the night vision camera with batteries is integrated into gameplay

Well we got My most wanted license so I'll say the licenses my three friends want most

    IT

    FNAF

    Outlast

    Phantasm

The Tall Man deserves his spot in this game as he is one of the best cult classic horror movie villains.

Prisoner the old Aussie tv-series and the killer would of course be Joan "The Freak" Ferguson!

Silent Hill (Survivor James - Killer Maria)

    The Last Of Us

    Supernatural

Until Dawn (a killer that could transform into a survivor to fool others, that would be amazing)

The conjuring (Survivors Ed and Lorraine - Killer The Nun) "We don't have a Nun in the game yet, that would be awesome"

Horror Movie: The Shining, Misery or more generally a movie where the killer is human (or human-like at least). Only exception to this would be Alien.

Horror Series: Would love for Stranger Things to come back and a new chapter with Vecna + Robin & Eddie.

Horror Book: It by Stephen King. A licence from the movie would of course be fine but the book would allow a more "original" approach (similar to how Yoichi was adapted for example)

Horror Game: A Plague Tale. Idc if it's not super popular, Amicia would be an amazing survivor and I would love more characters that aren't from modern times. Also I think Vitalis would make a great killer.

Non-horror but please: Borderlands 2. I need Hansdome Jack with voicelines (and Butt Stallion skin for Maurice).

I don't have any horror licenses I'm super fan of, I guess anything from the Dark Pictures Anthology would be cool.

From a non horror license, I've said it before and I'll say it again, a Psycho (Borderlands) skin for Legion would be amazing.

    "Alien" is my absolute favourite.

Notable mentions go to: "The Evil Within", "Alan Wake", "The Magnus Archives", "A Plague's Tale" and for cosmetics - "Ghostbusters"

    Vampire: The Masquerade

Lots of different types of Kindred for Killers to look at/into. I don't know if it would make sense for The Entity to pull in, like, Cain, but it's not a stretch to have BHVR write an antidiluvian showing up the in the Realm. Or maybe, like, something fourth or fifth gen if even those are too powerful.

I'm immediately thinking of something like an older Gangrel that has an enhanced Spies from the Shadows or the power to *turn into* a crow on the map and hide/reduce their terror radius

Come to think of it, pretty much anything World of Darkness works. Kind of surprised there isn't already a Garou-style Killer.

This is gonna be a really abstract pick, but if the devs don’t hold back, an β€œidentity V” chapter would work wonders aesthetically.

best option for the killer would be Orpheus as with how vital he is to the game’s plot and could have some cool aesthetic potential with floating text and shattered glass.

There’s quite a few options for the survivors: Emma Woods would be a good pick because she’s kinda the icon of the game. But i think the most logical/best picks would either be Alice since she’s basically the new protagonist and is very vital to the plot/lore, or they could also have Orpheus’ younger self as a survivor, so we could finally have a chapter with the killer and survivor being the same person (just alternate).

YES IM AWARE IDENTITY V ISN’T REALLY A HORROR GAME ON THE SURFACE BUT THE STORY MODE IS GREAT AND WE COULD USE SOMETHING LIKE IT IN AESTHETICS.

Oh yeah, that’d be a good one. Those spheres could work like a mix of Wesker’s tentacle charge and trapper’s traps- pinning a survivor until they wiggle free if it lands them against a wall.

The issue with that is that not all monsters in those games are… monsters. I thought the whole point of WoD was exploring humanity through these supernatural beings. Of course, many of the killers in this game were twisted into what they are, but idk…

    DavidHypnos Member Posts: 730

Clock Tower. I know that’s super obscure but it was one of the horror games I grew up with alongside Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and Fatal Frame. Scissorman would be a great killer. I also think a half-chapter with just Alan Wake as a survivor would be cool.

Movie-wise…. Psycho. Step aside, Jason, the OG momma’s boy is here.

Vampire the Masquerade is probably harder to work in as a Killer; the point is that they are, indeed, struggling to hold in their Humanity, but... *A Monster I am, Lest and Monster I Become* is a thing. It's just the game line which has the most name brand recognition.

Werewolf: the Apocalypse seems a stronger pick, since the Garou are basically Gaia-blessed warriors who believe they have a holy (and ultimately futile) mission to thwart the eponymous Apocolypse. There's even tribes that have "fallen" so far that they believe the best possible way to do this is forsaking their humanity and wiping out the humans.

Power could be the ability to shift between Hominid and Lupine form, each with benefits (maybe Lupine is better in a chase, but Hominid is better for stalking/tracking), and then shift to a Crinos war-form after several hits in quick succession (think Trickster's "ult" charge) which induces something like Delerium (inverted controls?) and takes the best of both Hominid and Lupine form.

Having re-watched the films recently, coupled with the fact I've always been a huge Jason Voorhees fan... I've had a lot of fun trying to think of my you'd bring him into the game... unlike Freddy, Ghostface or Myers who have pretty clear and consistent MOs, Jason is downright creative with his kills.

While he ha his classic machete, which he does use obviously, but its not as often as you'd think... he uses pitchforks, hammers, axes, barb wire noose, tree snares, daggers, spears, harpoon guns, screw drivers, a hacksaw, a corkscrew, simply throwing someone out a window, choking with his bare hands, crushing skulls against walls with a palm thrust, folding a guys back backwards, using 1 persons body to beat another before swinging them like a bat face first into a tree... not to mention a lot of these kill aren't just stabbing and bludgeoning, he throws/shoots a lot of these things with an accuracy that rivals Huntress... he's kinda a savant of killing really...

I have no idea how you'd get that in DbD... for one, maybe he could Slam the pallet on you xD

I've had a chance to meet and talk with Art (David Thorton) and he's actually pretty cool and down to earth. Has some interesting fan stories. I didn't realize how buck wild some of y'all super fans be getting for Terrifier πŸ˜‚.

This is a throwback, but Scissorman from Clock Tower would fit right in πŸ‘Œ

I want Scissorman from Clocktower, with Alyssa as survivor (and she better bring strong perks) with Jennifer as her legendary. Haunting Ground would also be a good title with Daniella as killer (she's so memorable).

Admittedly I'd love Koudelka as survivor from Koudelka, but that game is so obscure. I don't even know if they can get rights to it.

Also Project Zero/Fatal frame would really fit here. I would love it if they included legendaries etc. I can understand Miku is the more important one, but I love Rei (PZ3) progragonist a lot more, she was so cool. And as for killer I think PZ3 villain is more visually iconic than the others.

There are many killers I'd like to see but I'd chose:

    Movies: Alien

    Videogames: Evil Within

Just because they also have survivors I'd like to play as (Ripley and Sebastian), so double the fun enjoying characters on both roles πŸ™‚

Survivor-only paragraph bringing in John Constantine from the original Hellblazer run. Not the newer stuff, the OG comics run would fit best in DBD.

I'd also kill to see some mainline DC stuff. Even if it's only skins- Punchline skin for Legion? Joker for Trickster? There's good options there!

Oof! I like that :D We already have a chaining killer with Pinhead, but just imagine some beefy monstrocity like the Butcher chaining you to a loop so that you can't leave that loop and now you gotta run it perfectly or die.... with most seasoned survivors would just run it perfectly, thusly rendering the Butchers power ineffective. Sounds like we got winning concept, here ;D

  • Cryptikk
    Cryptikk Member Posts: 418

Definitely either Tomb Raider or Fatal Frame!

I even have a concept made up for tomb raider

  • Wampirita
    Wampirita Member Posts: 809

I mean there's many versions of Butcher (like 5 now?), it shouldn't be too hard to make him fitting dbd, and not make him too similar to Pinhead. He could be something between Oni/Blight and Slinger. He could have like a short range charge thing, with not much control over, that can slam into walls, hindering survivors around. Hard to think about chains tho to give them to him, but not to make them extremely op. Tying survivors up to a loop wouldn't be a bad idea, but considering some of the perks in the game, would be easily broken.

The chase music alone is already there. It has a theme in the game. Fan art Jennifer outfits for a crossover I found floating around on the Reddit page. I would mistake that red outfit for The Pig 100% of the time.

Games: Amnesia, Clock Tower, System Shock, I'd say Dead Space but it may encrouch on The Thing.
