Will Stranger Things Ever Return?
Title.
I will admit, I have literally never seen the show itself, however over the years of playing DBD, I see it as part of the game's identity because of how iconic they are to horror and the game as a whole.
When Stranger Things left the stores and Hawkins was removed/vaulted, I never felt like DBD was the same, not to say that the game was "worse" since it isnt, but moreso that it just felt completely different. It was such a "small" change yet Idk, I just really miss ST in DBD.
While I am unsure if there is progress or information can be provided by BHVR, I just want to be able to know if something is in the works at least. I just want Stranger Things back in DBD.

BHVR tried to contact Netflix but apparently they aren't responding.
Netflix are messing up so bad lately,if you go in their comment sections it's full of people asking for ST back in DBD and they still refuse.
The current writer's strike is also slowing down the final season significantly and they aren't trying to get more money from ST this way.

Netflix has its own line of games (basically crappy mini games, like for tablets and phones) and that includes Stranger Things game(s).

People are trying to get through to Netflix Geeked ever since they collabed with Roblox (lmao) over on Twitter but they've just been actively ignoring everyone and posting their silly tweets that no one cares about.
There's also an entire petition, but don't get your hopes up because there was one before and it literally got ignored.

I know a lot of people hated Hawkins, but I loved it because of it's unique map design.
It had: 3-way movement for loops (basically your traditional back and forth ways of running it, but there were stairs and platforms that provided additional ways to run loops), 1-directional god pallets (they were god pallets if ran a certain way, weak if ran the other way), and a few other cool things about it.
I still think it has the most underrated map design in the game, just most people did not care for the map since, 1. it was an indoors map and people hate indoors maps, 2. DBD players do not like "unique" stuff because it means they have to learn how to play around it.

Yeah I cancelled my netflix because of that I think people should do that there is not anything to watch anyway.

I have Netflix for JoJo's and ST.
Neither of them are airing new seasons rn, so no more Netflix

Yup and they cancel all series which are good. Netflix used to have so many series and big films back then when they were only streaming service. Now they release maybe something watchable once in two months.

I don't expect to see that content return.
They might've burned a bridge that makes it to where Netflix are unwilling to ever bring the content back. I think at the end of the day if McCote said they are not even willing to talk to him that it is a real bad sign for that content to return.

I actually miss Hawkins. It was its own unique thing, and while I hated loading into it with certain killers, the change of pace was nice.
Also I'm a big ST fan, so I liked it for that reason.

I really hope it does! I have Nancy, but this was before I started actually playing the game. I just bought the DLC because I saw you could play as her and wanted to when/if I started playing. Now I am sad I missed out on her costumes, especially her pony tail, it's so pretty. If it comes back I would buy all the cosmetics in a heartbeat!

I remember Myers and GF used to always bring the offering. Now they just stick to Lerys.
I hope we get it back, or at least get cross progression as all my ST cosmetics, and Jonathan, are on my Switch 😭

I only bought the sweaters and Steve's babysitter outfit. I got demo too but only one cosmetic for him. They will be missed

I don't know why the map hasn't been reskinned yet to remove the ST elements and then put back in rotation.

BHVR has gone on record to say that they will not reskin licensed stuff.
One of the main reasons behind this is that if they were to get the licenses back, they effectively just removed them from the game entirely, which would require them to remake everything from scratch.

Because the map was given free to everyone. No player had to pay for it.

Right but I mean contractually. Like, I can interact with a demogorgon as a survivor in a match even though I missed the purchase time period to be able to play one myself. From what I’ve seen in videos, Hawkins could double as a random Umbrella lab with zero change beyond the name where the demogorgon is much more IP specific.

Contractually, the free map was negotiated as the same time as the Demogorgon, Steve and Nancy. So a name change would not be fooling anyone.
