"Wesker is soooo fun to play"

Nerf the infection and do it like Nemesis does his ability, let's see if he's still played like that :D you can see how many really play him because of the ability, I mean then the ability will still stay the same a dash only the infection is much less strong, I would say he why he is played so much, his infection is way too overbuffed for the ability being so easy to hit (-8 speed is ridiculous!) That's why he likes to be played, makes the bad players ez while he's done ez to play and not the lies "he's fun to play" like the liars said when they said on strechet res "i have more fps and this looks better that's why i'm doing it and not for the unfair advantage" hehe yeah yeah ofc :)))

there are only two possibilities what will happen:

1. dbd gets a matchmaking whereupon the Wesker players who win a lot have to compete against survivor who are good and get hit against the wall a lot, get desperate and resort to Nurse, Blight, Spirit

2. Wekser gets a nerf because most survivor are too bad to counteract it

one of two things will happen, small spoiler: dbd will not get any matchmaking... accordingly prepare for a legitimate nerf because it is just too strong for the average survivor

    +1

Babykiller with tons of hand-holding and failsafes to make sure the player gets their free hits.

No. wesker is not easy like you say. To land the dash you need to predict the survivor perfectly within a 1s time frame. If its easy for him to hit you its because you are making it that way. Also, that 8% hinder? Just cleanse! Its not that hard!

  • nars
    nars Member Posts: 1,124

ikr at this point more people want wesker gone than they do nurse

  • nars
    nars Member Posts: 1,124

...what failsafes? Do you mean the second token? Because that is literally it. And most of the time its just used to setup the second dash, which requires perfect prediction and timing just to land. If you really think wesker need nerfs thats a massive skill issue.

all your encouraging is for wesker to 3 gen to get use out of the infection and deplete sprays. your change is encouraging 3 gen skull merchant unhealthy gameplay.

    WHAT

This literally just stops him from having one of the best tunneling abilities in the game.

    Devil_hit11 Member Posts: 9,101

yes and it encourages him to find a different strategy to beat top-tier survivors.

If you nerf a killer from good and viable to be more like Nemesis, who punishes himself for using his power instead of playing M1 killer, then you make them less fun in the process. You could nerf his infection after an unhook in the way @Pulsar suggested and that probably wouldn't affect his pick rate in the slightest. But punishing a killer for using their power or making that power borderline useless takes away a lot of the fun.

or, and hear me out here, tunneling is still possible without infection

You are...aware that other Killers don't need Wesker's Infection to tunnel?

He already has a good enough power to tunnel effectively.

Also, Wesker can't hold Survivors until the game ends lol

I think this would be a good change. I personally rarely ever see anyone get to full infection and have it actually matter before they spray it away, playing both as and against Wesker. This would probably feel better for survivors and realistically not affect Wesker’s strength too much.

trust me save the effort and don't argue with the Wesker fan bois they are completely delustional even if the ability to tunnel is stronger than PH's it's not that they don't understand it it's that they don't want to understand it... in other words anything that's changed on Wesker is bad the only thing you'd be happy about is buffs :D but the reality is if bhvr just stick a little bit to what they said and did in the past, then Wesker will be 100% nerfed! (because he is too strong for the average survivor) even if they don't want to admit it, its will happen :D

I just hate killers who reward bad play. Killers like slinger and wesker are annoying simply because they put hard timers on chase. Weskers is a countdown until infection and DS is just whenever you have to use a window and i never understood the fun appeal of "Be on gen, get chased, get infected, walk across map to spray yourself, repeat" gameplay

Personally I'll be happy when this update happens and his busted grabs when we're 5 feet through a window, around the corner and then suddenly we're back inside the window in his clutches won't happen anymore. I'm surprised he hasn't been kill switched for that garbage.

    Please play him.

Or even play killer, with your post record it seems you have never even touched the "play as killer" button.

Your change would be on the lines of: "Nerf it because I lost and had a baby fit".

Pulsars idea to pause infection until a conspicuous action is commited would reduce his ability to tunnel and actually make him a healthier killer.

Also please posts suggestions in feedback and suggestions. Making the title misleading doesn't help with that.

I don't own any of the RE chapters, so I can't say on how he is to play, but I like playing against Wesker. He seems like a good middle ground. Good chase and anti loop potential but still capable of being mind gamed or countered. His anti loop doesn't feel as bad to me as some other killers. Instead of forcing me to hold "W" and run away, I always feel like I have the option to stay and try to play it out as well. Sometimes his grabs seem a little far fetched but for all I know on there screen it might look perfectly fine.

    No...

You got 3 chances per spray bottle. Wesker is fine and I didn't even buy him.

Can you please just fix Wesker? Wesker is not intended to abuse the environment because his model becomes smaller when he charges up a viral bound which leads to the craziest charges what you can imagine. There’s simply hits which never should connect due to the intended range of his viral bound charge. Abusing this by aiming pretty close to two different tiles pretty close together increases the charge drastically and makes Wesker possible to land impossible hits, like drift hits or super long hits. This indeed ruins the fun to play against Wesker. Idk if you, the developer sleeps deeply or if you just don’t care about survivors anymore. But whatsoever, this leads to a horrible and unfair game play disadvantage for survivors.

I genuinely hope Wesker gets nerfed one day, purely out of spite for the people on this forum who keep trying to dictate to others what is or isn't considered fun, because they think their own idea of fun is everyone else's idea of fun too or that because they think that majority find something to be fun that it means everyone else who's idea of fun differs from it matters less, as if fun was something objective.

hehe i hope you dont meaning me :)) if yes then come! i will play against you as killer and show you my little bit 10k hrs in that game :D but please dont cry about "camper, tunnler, cry and more cry" I'm sure I have more hours in killer than you and your 500hrs friends in dbd combined xD dbd is just different hehe, will be corrected by a hundred hours, no, let's even say 1-2k hours of bad players xDD

Your english is so bad I can't really even understand your point.

I think what your trying to say is I am new and have new players as friends?

Many of my killer games are against P100 squads, and I've gone against multiple comp teams, and won.

I have almost 2k hours in Wesker and he is probably the most balanced killer in the game, as it is almost equally possible for both sides to win if they actually try.

It would actually be interesting if you sent a "video" of you playing against some non-baby survivors. But of course you wont, as you've almost never played killer and you never raised your MMR beyond baby survivors.

Also please stop with ad hominem attacks, they don't go anywhere.

hahahaha p100 ohhhh no pleaseee D: xD this statement already shows that you have no idea of dbd, "comp player" :D okok, i mean you are not a Baby surv & you are winning against "comp player" or not ? then come :D show me, i play Wesker without press any ready button but i will play the best addons and pls dont cry about camping, tunneling and slugging, you will loop me ez :))

a little tip, with p100 and comp talk you usually, most "comp players" are absolutely overrated and bad, to a maximum of ok, I've already played against many comp bots when mmr even existed in the game (EU) and before that too (crossplay off) so I'd like to compete against you, but if you're from NA then the discussion stops here, because I don't discuss with someone who almost only plays against console bots xD

He's my favorite killer to play against, his power is interactive and you have to opportunity to outplay and dodge it,it's not like Knight where he puts down the guard and you're forced to leave the loop and you get hit anyway.

    yeah! you are so right!!

-8 speed for survivor: "omgg balance! that killer is so good! it's so nice! what a nice ability, MFT +3 speed for survivor (can be countered by perks, even by addons from the killer) "oh nooo that's horrible! the worst perk bhvr brought in" meaniwhile wesker's ability is almost 3x as much, his "balance" iri addon: Corrupt + Lethal if you have full incetion you are one hit, don't forget that 4 sprays are used up right at the beginning of the round, and many more fun & balance stuff, "the balanced killer in dbd :D"

  • Xernoton
    Xernoton Member Posts: 5,887

Is this still a discussion about Wesker? Because Wesker really is mostly fine. Turn down his strength in tunneling situations a bit and be done with it.

His chase power won't suffer from that, his 3 genning potential will not increase and his overall strength will not be affected that much.

If you relied on his infection to tunnel someone out of the game, then that's a skill issue. In the time it would take you to fully infect a survivor, you should be able to easily end the chase regardless. Or you let that 1 survivor go and then find another, that is easier to catch. They'll be busy for a while getting rid of the infection and you pressure multiple people.

It takes forever to reach full infection mate, unless she keeps throwing you to nothing, which is still losing a lot of time for him.
